Viral video: Lara Trump and Pete Hegseth seem exhausted as they train with U.S. soldiers
Source: X On July 5, 2025, a new episode of My View with Lara Trump—the Fox News show hosted by President Trump's daughter-in-law—gave viewers of what a basic training for the US military looks like as Laura Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth took part in an intense training session at Fort Lesley J. McNair in Washington, D.C. — RT_com (@RT_com) Clips shared on social media show the duo breaking a serious sweat as they powered through a series of physically demanding drills—running, squats, and even heavy lifting. Both looked visibly exhausted but stayed committed to finishing the workout alongside active-duty service members. The physical challenge was part of a larger interview segment where Laura Trump sat down with Secretary Hegseth to discuss defense priorities and his hands-on leadership style. 'You get honest feedback, which is exactly what I want,' Hegseth told Lara during their conversation. 'I want to close the gap between the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of the Army.' Hegseth is no stranger to training in the field. He frequently posts videos showing him exercising with soldiers, often using these moments to stay connected and gather unfiltered insights from the ranks. After the workout, Hegseth addressed the troops directly, offering heartfelt thanks for their service and commitment. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Зачем на ночь сжигают лавровый лист? During a more personal moment in the interview, Laura Trump reflected on how if one enters the administrative services the entire family serves with them. Pete Hegseth agreed, sharing how vital his family's support has been throughout his journey. 'I couldn't have done this without my wife—she's my rock,' he said. He went on to speak about his role at home, where he's simply 'Dad' to his kids. He elaborated that they don't understand what he does but he hopes that being exposed to this kind of environment inspires them someday. Pete Hegseth is currently married to Jennifer Rauchet, his third wife. The couple tied the knot in 2019, two years after the birth of their first child together. Hegseth is now a father and stepfather to seven children. He has three biological children—Gunner, Boone, and Rex—from his second marriage to Samantha Deering. With Jennifer Rauchet, he shares a daughter, Gwen.

Putin halts event to take Trump's call: ‘awkward to make him wait,' says Russian President; watch video
When Trump calls, even Putin takes notice. The Russian president abruptly exited a major event to answer a phone call from former U.S. President Donald Trump, stating it would be 'awkward to make him wait' and risk offending the famously impatient American leader. "Please don't be angry. I understand that we could talk more. But it's so awkward to make him (Trump) wait, he could get offended," Putin remarked while excusing himself mid-event. — RT_com (@RT_com) According to Trump, the two had an extended phone conversation on Thursday, during which they discussed various global issues, including the ongoing war in Ukraine and the situation in Iran. "We had a call. It was a pretty long call. We talked about a lot of things, including Iran. We also talked about the war with Ukraine," Trump said. However, Trump expressed his disappointment over the lack of progress in their discussion regarding a peace deal on Ukraine. "I am not happy about that... No, I didn't make any progress with him (Russian President Putin) today," he added. Live Events — ANI (@ANI) The Kremlin confirmed that the call lasted nearly an hour, with President Putin reiterating Russia's steadfast stance on its objectives. Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov stated, "Our president said that Russia will achieve the aims it set, that is to say the elimination of the root causes that led to the current state of affairs. Russia will not give up on these aims," as reported by AFP. The conversation took place amid a temporary halt in U.S. arms shipments to Kyiv and increasing pressure on European nations to boost their support. During the call, Putin also emphasized the need for diplomacy in the Middle East following recent U.S. strikes on Iran. [With TOI inputs] Economic Times WhatsApp channel )
