Kudumbashree's 24-hour ‘Radio Shree' goes live
T'puram: Kudumbashree's online radio 'Radio Shree' commenced airing on Tuesday morning as a new voice of empowerment. With technical support from Malayalam Mission, the new broadcast began at 7am.
The aim is to use Radio Shree as the most effective educational tool to learn and understand more about Kudumbashree.
The programmes will blend entertainment and knowledge. Kudumbashree aims to spread information and insights about
women empowerment
and poverty eradication initiatives implemented across the state and beyond, reaching neighbourhood families and audiences worldwide.
Broadcast will start at 7am every day. Six distinct programmes, including Sindooracheppu, Koottukari, Radio Shreemathi, Nattarangu, Radio Shree Sahithyotsavam and Audio Book, will be aired.
Each programme will be of one-hour duration. The first schedule runs from 7am to 1pm. There will be 24-hour broadcasts divided into four six-hour schedules, with 18 hours being re-broadcasts. Additionally, Kudumbashree news will be aired every two hours for five minutes.
Anyone with a smartphone can listen to the Radio Shree application by downloading it via app store, play store or through iOS store accounts. Radio Shree is also available on the website The online radio's advantage is its ability to quickly reach 4.8 million families and various sectors of society with the initiatives implemented by Kudumbashree.
