Thousands of Irish EuroMillions players snapped up prizes in Tuesday's draw. While there was no winner of the EuroMillions jackpot, worth life changing €74,533,673, in total, over 42,000 players in Ireland won prizes in the EuroMillions and Plus games - including 10 winners of the Ireland only raffle. The winning numbers in the main draw were: 1, 8, 9, 18, 50 and the Lucky Stars 1 and 5. The lucky winners of the Ireland only raffle each scooped a €5,000 prize in the draw. Emma Monaghan, spokesperson for the National Lottery said: "Over 109,000 players won prizes in Saturday's draw, but it was a Clerihan player who topped the lot becoming Ireland's newest millionaire. We're encouraging all our players in Tipperary to check their tickets very carefully today because for one winner, it's no longer a long way to Tipperary, it's a fast track to millionaire status with a ticket now worth a life-changing €1,000,500!" The winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket and to keep it safe. The National Lottery held a special draw on Saturday which promised to make one punter a Lotto millionaire. The Lotto Plus Raffle typically sees between 60 and 120 winners of €500 in every draw but for tonight's draw, the National Lottery added a guaranteed to be won €1 million to the Lotto Plus Raffle prize fund. Each of the tickets with the winning Lotto Plus Raffle number drawn in Saturday night's draw were entered into a once-off draw, where one ticket was selected to win an additional prize of €1m, as well as the usual €500 Raffle prize. The National Lottery have confirmed that a lucky punter in Clerihan, Co Tipperary won the special Lotto Plus Raffle top-up prize of €1 million in Saturday's draw with the winning Raffle Number 9416. Lotto bosses have revealed that the winning ticket was purchased in Elys Centra, Clerihan Village Centre, Co. Tipperary. There were also 104 winners of the Raffle Prize, with each player receiving €500. Another Lotto player came agonisingly close to winning a €1 million prize of their own as they missed out on the Lotto Plus 1 jackpot by just a single number. The punter matched five numbers plus the bonus number in Saturday night's Lotto Plus 1 draw, meaning they were just one correct number away from winning the €1m top prize. However the player still has reason to celebrate as they still bagged the Match 5 + Bonus prize worth a cool €5,000.
