Tonight's Lowertown Sounds concert at Mears Park postponed due to impending storms
The kickoff of the annual Lowertown Sounds concert series tonight has been postponed due to impending storms. Flamin' Oh's, Faith Boblett and Lonesome Dan Kase will now close out the series on Sept. 11.
'Postponing a show is never easy, and we are disappointed in this outcome, but we also need to do what's best for the various stakeholders and our patrons, and we are always mindful of the best guest and safest experience above all,' organizers said in a news release.
The free series runs most Thursdays in the summer in Mears Park in St. Paul's Lowertown.
The New Standards and Tina Schlieske will now launch this summer's series on June 19.
