Three Salman Khan fans run away from Delhi to meet superstar; found safe in Nashik after MISSING for 4 days: Deets Inside

Salman Khan has always had an enormous fan base, with admirers of all ages looking up to him. But in a recent incident involving three minor boys from Delhi, who went missing on 25 July, all in hopes of meeting the Bollywood superstar. As reported by PTI, the three boys, aged 13, 11, and nine, are all students at the same school in the Sadar Bazar area of Delhi. Their sudden disappearance triggered a massive search operation by Delhi Police and their counterparts in Maharashtra. It all started with a gaming app friend According to the police, the boys had been chatting with a person named Wahid from Jalna in Maharashtra via an online gaming platform. Wahid had claimed that he had once met Salman Khan and could possibly arrange a meeting with the actor. Believing him, the boys hatched a plan to visit Jalna and then head to Mumbai to meet the superstar. They left their homes on 25 July without informing their families, which led to panic among their parents and a missing persons report being filed. Left a note behind During the early stages of investigation, police discovered a handwritten note at one of the boys' homes. The note clearly mentioned their intention to meet Wahid in Jalna. This became the first major lead in the case. Further investigation through CCTV footage revealed visuals of the boys near Ajmeri Gate, indicating that they might have travelled to New Delhi Railway Station to board a train. Based on train schedules and possible travel routes, police suspected that the boys had taken the Sachkhand Express, from Delhi to Maharashtra. Phone signal helps trace missing children When Wahid found out the police were involved and the boys' families were searching for them, he backed out of the meeting. The boys then dropped their plan to visit Jalna and got off the train in Nashik. Though Wahid couldn't be contacted, brief phone activity helped police trace the boys. Delhi Police reportedly joined hands with Railway Police and Maharashtra police to search multiple locations. Finally, on Tuesday, four days after they went missing, the boys were found safe at a railway station in Nashik. Safe return for the young Salman Khan fans Thankfully, all three minors were safe and unharmed when found. They were brought under police protection and arrangements were made to send them back to Delhi.

Chhattisgarh CM warns against politicising trafficking case Involving Kerala nuns

Raipur: Chhattisgarh chief minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Monday called for restraint and urged political parties not to politicise the issue of women's safety, following the arrest of two Kerala-based nuns and another individual in an alleged case of human trafficking and forced religious conversion. Chhattisgarh chief minister Vishnu Deo Sai. (File Photo) On July 25, the Railway Police at Durg station arrested Preethi Merry and Vandana Francis, both nuns from Kerala, along with Sukaman Mandavi, after a local Bajrang Dal functionary lodged a complaint accusing them of trafficking and attempting to forcibly convert three girls from Narayanpur. According to officials, the girls were reportedly being taken to Agra under the pretext of receiving nursing training and subsequent employment. In a post on X, Sai said, 'Three daughters of Narayanpur were promised nursing training and jobs. A person from Narayanpur handed them over to two nuns at Durg station, who were taking them to Agra. This appears to be a case of human trafficking under the guise of conversion by luring.' Calling the incident serious and sensitive, Sai added, 'The matter concerns the safety of our daughters. The investigation is underway, and the case is sub-judice. The law will take its own course. Chhattisgarh is a peace-loving state where people of all faiths coexist harmoniously. It is unfortunate that such issues related to women's safety are being politicised.' The arrests have sparked political backlash in Kerala, with both the ruling CPI(M)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the Opposition Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) criticising the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Chhattisgarh. Both fronts alleged that the incident reflects the growing insecurity faced by minorities under BJP rule. Kerala ministers P. Rajeev and Roshy Augustine, along with a delegation of UDF MLAs led by leader of the Opposition V. D. Satheesan, met the family of nun Preethi Merry and expressed solidarity. CPI(M) Rajya Sabha MP John Brittas called the arrests a 'blatant misuse of law' and demanded the immediate release of the nuns. In a letter to Sai, Brittas urged him to intervene in the matter and ensure justice. Meanwhile, the BJP's Kerala unit has announced that it will send a delegation to Chhattisgarh to assess the situation.

Govt unveils sweeping rail reforms

The government on Sunday outlined major reforms for Pakistan Railways, including an imminent agreement on the Rohri–Karachi section, a Rs50 billion allocation to upgrade the Lahore–Rawalpindi track, reducing travel time to two hours and the digitisation of the railway system. The development came as Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi addressed the "Meet the Press" event at the Lahore Press Club. Speaking on the occasion, the minister announced "sweeping reforms" to modernise the sector, highlighting improvements such as outsourcing cleaning services at seven stations across Rawalpindi, Karachi, and Lahore, enhancing food quality, and installing free Wi-Fi at Lahore Railway Station. He highlighted key infrastructure upgrades, including a soon-to-be-finalised agreement for the Rohri–Karachi railway section and a Rs50 billion allocation by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to upgrade the Lahore-Rawalpindi track, reducing travel time to two hours. Escalators and information desks have been introduced at stations, and a 105-kilometer railway track for coal transport is set to be completed by April 30, reducing electricity costs from Rs15 to Rs4.5 per unit. Additionally, a business train with Wi-Fi-equipped coaches and high-quality dining will be inaugurated on July 29 by PM Shehbaz Sharif. The minister announced plans to digitise the railway system, link sixteen banks to the railways app, and install ATMs at 348 stations. To address inefficiencies, three railway companies have been shut down, and long-leave employees would be recalled. "Pakistan Railways is the pride of Pakistan," Abbasi declared, promising to make it profitable if the federal government covers pensions and salaries. He stressed that the railways issues stem not from labourers but from unnamed individuals who looted the system. He emphasised the need for investment in railways to boost the national economy, warning that major reforms are imminent and bureaucratic inefficiencies will not be tolerated. Addressing employment concerns, Abbasi revealed a compassionate approach to contract workers. "We could dismiss contract employees with a one-month salary, but instead, we are considering reassigning railway sanitation staff to their local areas," he shared, signaling a commitment to employee welfare. The "Suthra Punjab" initiative will be extended to Railway colonies, aiming to enhance living conditions for staff and their families. Abbasi also claimed unprecedented improvements in cleanliness across the railway system, stating, "The level of cleanliness we have now achieved in Railways has never been seen before." Cracking down on illegal activities, Abbasi issued a stern warning against ticketless travel and related offenses. "Smuggling and theft used to plague Railways. Now, anyone traveling without a ticket or aiding such activities will face imprisonment," he cautioned. To bolster security, Pakistan Railways has recruited 500 new personnel for the Railway Police and plans to acquire scanners and metal detectors using the department's own budget.
