Over Rs700 crore infra work to begin at PM Mitra Park in Dhar

Indore: Infrastructure work amounting to more than Rs 700 crore will be carried out at PM Mega Integrated Textile and Apparel Park (PM MITRA) in Dhar, one of the seven textile parks being set up in the country under the Centre's scheme to promote textile manufacturing in the country. The first phase of the PM MITRA Park will be developed on 2,158 acre of land in Dhar district at a cost of over Rs 2,050 crore. The master developer of the project, Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation, has floated the tender. "The work for internal infrastructure at the park will start soon. The internal work will include roads, drainage, electric poles, and all infrastructure-related work. The tenders were issued on June 30, 2025," said MPIDC Ujjain executive director Rajesh Rathod. The tenders floated were worth Rs 773 crore for the first phase of the PM MITRA Park development. MPIDC has so far received investment proposals amounting to Rs 12,000 crore from 47 industries for PM MITRA. PM MITRA Parks are being developed in Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra. These parks have secured approval with an allocation of Rs 4,445 crore for a seven-year duration, extending until 2027-28. The master developer of the project also plans to establish more than 800 plug-and-play facilities for the garment industry. The industrial precinct shall feature residential plots, officer quarters, women's worker hostels, worker hostels, and accommodation for unskilled workers.

Indore: Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) will display locally manufactured machinery, components, and various products at the RISE (Regional Industry, Skill, and Employment) conclave in Ratlam to secure business and connect with potential buyers. Trade associations and industries from Ratlam and nearby areas are taking up spaces to set up stalls at the conclave on June 27. "The idea is to make industries and investors familiar with what local industries manufacture and showcase their strengths. These stalls will have a display of locally made products and will give an opportunity for buyers and sellers to connect," said Rajesh Rathod, Executive Director of the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC), Ujjain. The conclave will host three essential technical sessions focusing on MSME growth, skill development, and investment policies. These sessions aim to address crucial aspects of industrial development and employment generation in the region. Indore: The industries department is planning to showcase potential land parcels, industrial belts and products falling under the One District One Product (ODOP) and Geographical Indication (GI)-tagged items list to industries and investors in the state govt's RISE (Regional Industry, Skill, and Employment) conclave happening in Ratlam in June. The industries department aims to attract investments on the 900-hectare land in Ratlam Investment Region, apart from other industrial belts in the conclave, to be organised on June 27 in Ratlam on the theme 'Successful Entrepreneur, Prosperous Industry, Inclusive Development'. The state govt plans to sign Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) and Walmart during the conclave. Rajesh Rathod, executive director of the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) in Ujjain said, "The objective of the conclave is to focus on improving skill and increasing employment opportunities in the region by attracting investments from industries. Indore: As a part of the recently approved working women hostels in industrial areas of Madhya Pradesh, a 1775-seat hostel is planned at Pithampur industrial area, one of the state's largest industrial areas, at an outlay of Rs 76.5 crore. The Union govt has also approved a special assistance loan of Rs 284 crore for this project. In addition to Pithampur, another hostel with 1,554 seats is planned in Vikram Udyogpuri industrial area of Ujjain, backed by a budget of Rs 66.4 crore. Rajesh Rathod, executive director of the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) said, "We are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for working women in industrial areas. The facilities in Pithampur, Ujjain, Raisen, Bhind and other areas will be developed to ensure that women can work in these areas without worrying about their accommodation. Industrial areas having textile and garment industry are among the ones that will be immensely benefited because they have a maximum number of women employees. The infrastructure development and proximity to the airport recently attracted many investors to Ujjain. For Kachnariya, we received applications from two industries engaged in the manufacturing of solar equipment, and another is a chemical unit."The industries department is pinning hopes on textile, food processing, pharmaceuticals, packaging, and other sectors to attract investment in Ujjain. The industries department is adding to the land bank across Dhar, Maksi, Agar-Malwa, Neemuch, and other potential locations in the state to attract substantial investments from is looking to expand its water supply capacity in the industrial areas amid an increase in the number of industries in the region. The estimated additional demand for water is somewhere around 8-10 MLD. Recently, three food processing units and a textile firm submitted their intention to invest and set up plants in the Ujjain district.
