Gaza: Six Israeli soldiers killed by Al-Qassam Brigades

Shafaq News - Gaza Six Israeli soldiers, including a senior officer, were killed and a total of 16 were wounded during an operation launched by the al-Qassam Brigades (Hamas's armed wing), in Beit Hanoun, northern Gaza, on Monday, according to Israeli media outlets. Posting on Telegram, the al-Qassam Brigades addressed the Israeli army, 'We will crush the prestige of your army,' warning that 'as long as the aggression continues, funerals and bodies of enemy soldiers will be a recurring event.' Israeli media reported that the incident unfolded amid intense fighting in a complex military operation near the Gaza border, in a zone heavily fortified with explosives and rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs). Israeli Air Force helicopters struck the area to provide cover and evacuate troops, while helicopter landing zones were established at multiple hospitals to receive casualties. The Israeli army's Southern Command has opened an investigation into the incident in northern Gaza. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was briefed on the event while visiting the White House, according to Israeli news outlets. Earlier, al-Qassam Brigades claimed responsibility for attacks that targeted Israeli forces and settlements, firing mortar shells at Israeli troop positions in al-Satar and al-Qarara, north of Khan Younis, and launched 114mm Rajoum missiles toward the settlements of Nirim and Ein HaShlosha (the Third Eye).

Shortly after the incident, Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, claimed responsibility for attacks targeting Israeli forces and settlements. In a statement posted on Telegram, the group said it had fired mortar shells at Israeli troop positions in al-Satar and al-Qarara, north of Khan Younis, and launched 114mm Rajoum missiles toward the settlements of Nirim and Ein HaShlosha (the Third Eye).

Qassam Brigades announce attacks on 'Israeli' troops

Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced Sunday that its fighters targeted an 'Israeli' ground force of 11 soldiers in the town of Abasan, east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, using an anti-personnel shell. The group said the attack resulted in casualties, including both dead and wounded. In a separate statement, the Brigades said they fired a salvo of short-range 114mm "Rajoum" rockets at the 'Israeli' settlement of Magen, located near the Gaza border.

Hamas reports deadly operations against 'Israeli' forces in Gaza

Hamas' military wing, Al-Qassam Brigades, reported Monday several operations carried out by its fighters against the 'Israeli' military as battles in the Gaza Strip rage. A gathering of 'Israeli' forces was hit with mortar shells – including 120mm and 60mm rounds – on May 31 east of Al-Qarara town, near Khan Younis in south Gaza. Another military post was hit with three short-range 'Rajoum' rockets on the same day, according to the statement. On Sunday, Al-Qassam said it struck an 'Israeli' D9 military bulldozer with a 'Yassin-105' anti-armor rocket in the Qizan Al-Najjar area, south of Khan Younis. In another incident in the same area, the group said it targeted an 'Israeli' tank with a 'Shawaz' explosive device and a 'Yassin 105' anti-armor round. Yesterday, 'Israeli' defense minister said Sunday that he had ordered the army to push ahead with its fight on Gaza "regardless of any negotiations", after a US envoy called the group's latest response to a truce proposal unacceptable. "I have instructed the IDF (military) to continue forward in Gaza against all targets, regardless of any negotiations", Israel Katz said in a statement.
