But just for the show and for my character, Neville, it just sort of felt like his story was finished and his journey deserved to be completed. "He deserved a happy ending, and it just felt right." BBC Death in Paradise star to return to screens with pal after heartbreaking exit
Ralf Little will be reuniting with his real-life pal Will Mellor on UKTV's U and UandDave for a second series of Will and Ralf Should Know Better after his exit from Death in Paradise After his poignant departure from the hit BBC show Death in Paradise, Ralf Little is set to make a comeback on our screens alongside his mate Will Mellor. The pair, who are real-life chums and podcast partners, are gearing up for the second series of their show on U and UandDave, titled Will and Ralf Should Know Better, following the triumph of their initial outing. The upcoming series will be released in two sets of three episodes, with the dynamic duo delving into the art of navigating and flourishing during midlife. Will and Ralf Should Know Better promises to deliver more engaging encounters as the two engage with intriguing individuals, immerse themselves in diverse environments, and tackle an array of challenges. These include doing stand-up comedy for the first time, braving the UK's most haunted pub, and embarking on an orienteering adventure without mobile phones. Audiences are set to revel once more in the chemistry between Will and Ralf as they reunite to push each other beyond their usual limits. The programme provides a candid glimpse into their frank discussions and the effortless rapport that stems from their longstanding friendship, reports the Express. Expressing his enthusiasm about the return, Will said: "We're back! I'm so happy to be making a second series of this show with Ralf - we had so much fun filming series one, and it seems the public loved it just as much as us. "The reaction to series one was overwhelming, and I can't wait to dive back in with UandDave and Afro-Mic." Ralf expressed his excitement, saying: "Somehow, they've let us do this again! I'm buzzing to be back with Will for round two - more adventures, more questionable decisions, and probably more moments where we ask, 'What on earth are we doing?' I'm incredibly grateful for the response to the first series, and I can't wait to get started on the next!" Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Jason Dawson, Commissioning Executive, commented on the series, "The UandDave audience completely fell in love with Will and Ralf's incredible chemistry, emotional depth, and cheeky charm the first time round, so we're delighted to be bringing them much more of it. "To be honest, after the boys' learning so much about themselves and each other in series one, I was concerned that they might've become a little too sensible ahead of series two! However, from early conversations with the pair and the brilliant team at Afro-Mic, I'm happy to confirm that there's still plenty of work to be done!". Fans of Death in Paradise were left disappointed last year when Ralf announced his departure from his role as Detective Neville Parker. He was subsequently replaced by a new lead, Don Gilet, who now plays Mervin Wilson. Reflecting on his exit at the time, the actor said: "So, there you have it! The secret's out! My time on Saint Marie has come to an end. But, what an end!" He added: "New adventures await Neville and he got to sail off into the sunset with his best friend, and, you know, who knows what happens for them next! "I just want to say, just an enormous thank you to everyone who watched and supported the show. When I arrived, four-and-a-half years ago, I knew I had big shoes to fill. Coming into a series beloved by millions, including me, was a huge responsibility."
