How to watch Mexico vs Saudi Arabia live: Stream link, TV channel, team news, prediction

Mexico's bid to repeat as CONCACAF Gold Cup champions hits a non-CONCACAF road block on Saturday when tournament invitee Saudi Arabia hits Glendale, Arizona. El Tri won Group A with two wins and a scoreless draw against Costa Rica, while Saudi Arabia beat Haiti and lost to the United States before drawing with Trinidad and Tobago to secure a place in the knockout rounds. Advertisement Mexico are also bidding to become the first 10-time winner of the Gold Cup. For live updates and highlights throughout Mexico vs Saudi Arabia, check out PST's live blog coverage below. How to watch Mexico vs Saudi Arabia live, stream link and start time Kick off time: 10:!5pm ET, Sunday How to watch: FS1, TUDN Stream online: or the FOX Sports app Mexico team news, focus Cesar Montes has been terrific at both ends for El Tri, scoring thrice and overseeing a team which has not allowed a goal since conceding twice in a 3-2 tournament-opening win. West Ham United's Edson Alvarez leads a strong midfield, and Raul Jimenez and Santiago Gimenez give Javier Aguirre plenty of danger up top Saudi Arabia team news, focus The Saudis have only conceded two goals in this tournament, a record bettered only by the USMNT and Canada. They've defended with vigor, racking up hard tackles and clearances as a measure of pride. Al Ittihad back Abdulelah Al Amri has been a standout for the Herve Renard's Green Falcons, but they'll have to find goals to advance in this tournament. Mexico vs Saudi Arabia prediction It's difficult to do this, but do it — forget the fact that the Saudis beat Argentina at the 2024 World Cup. If you're not willing to forget that result, which was three years ago, think of it as the first match of a 2W-9L-1D run that included losses to Oman and Bolivia. Arizona is going to be a veritable home atmosphere for El Tri, who would be favored on a neutral ground, and the Saudis are missing their Al-Hilal representation (12 different Al-Hilal players have been called up in the next 12 months). This would be a stunner if it didn't go the way of Javier Aguirre's El Tri. Mexico 2-0 Saudi Arabia.

Why Fulham need greater goal threat

Fulham are one of two Premier League clubs yet to sign or sell a senior player this summer, along with Aston Villa, but it appears the west London side are attempting to remedy last season's lack of attacking are reportedly pursuing a deal for 23-year-old Brazilian forward Romulo, who provided 17 goals and 10 assists in 33 matches last season for Turkish club Goztepe. Six of those goals were penalties but his tally still compares favourably with Fulham top scorer Raul Jimenez, who scored 14 times - including five penalties - in 43 as the graphic below shows, Fulham's shooting accuracy was the third worst in the Premier League in 2024-25. They made an unrivalled 894 crosses in last season's Premier League, leading to 22% of their goals, but creative midfielders Andreas Pereira, whose Fulham future is in doubt, and Emile Smith Rowe often struggled to break down created 20 chances from open play, four fewer than Smith Rowe - with both men lagging well behind team-mate Alex Iwobi's impressive figure of attacking options, Willian and Carlos Vinicius, have left the club on free transfers, while Tom Cairney and Kenny Tete are both out of contract in a few days and yet to accept the offer of new deals. Wrexham and Everton respectively are circling.

Mexico, USMNT showdown must wait until Concacaf Gold Cup final as both top group

Santi Gimenez had a dramatic, acrobatic strike in the final moments of stoppage time controversially ruled out, but it did not prevent Mexico from clinching a point against Costa Rica to secure top spot in Group A of the Concacaf Gold Cup. Giminez's ultimately meaningless flying volley aside, the 0-0 result produced little in the way of thrills, though it did remove the tantalizing possibility of a quarterfinal between Mexico and the United States, an outcome that would have arisen had Costa Rica clinched victory. Advertisement As things stand, the USMNT will now take on Costa Rica in the quarters next weekend, Mexico will meet Saudi Arabia, and Concacaf's biggest foes can only face one another if both make it to the final on July 6. After El Tri and Costa Rica had both won their opening two games against the Dominican Republic and Suriname, it was Javier Aguirre's Mexico who held the edge, on account of having a marginally superior goal difference. Neither side was able to make the breakthrough, though Raul Jimenez went close for Mexico midway through the first half, forcing goalkeeper Keylor Navas into two reflex saves within the space of a minute. Chances were hard to come by at the other end, with Costa Rica forward Manfred Ugalde's frustrating night compounded by receiving his second yellow card of the group stage, which will rule him out of his team's clash with Mauricio Pochettino's U.S. Gimenez looked to have made the telling contribution as entered its final moments, but his fine effort was dismissed after a VAR review caught an offside infraction. Earlier, Costa Rica head coach Miguel Herrera greeted Mexico's players and staff warmly before kickoff, having led the team between 2013-15. Herrera will now turn his attention to trying to knock out the Americans. While the U.S., with a depleted squad missing the likes of Christian Pulisic, Weston McKennie, Anthony Robinson and Tim Weah, would have been a sizable underdog against a mostly full-strength Mexico, it also faces a challenge in historic rival Costa Rica, currently positioned 54th in the FIFA rankings.
