Honkai Star Rail Phainon Trailer Breakdown Phainon Trailer — "Coronal Radiance" | Honkai: Star Rail The brand-new trailer of the game, the Coronal Radiance trailer of Honkai Star Rail Version 3.4, aroused heated debate among players, and for good reason. Instead of putting it all on spectacular fights or mechanics, the emphasis is placed on a strange being named Phainon, who lives in a simulation of reality, Amphoreus, with no exits to be found. The trailer brings up identity, failure, and an unavoidable change, and all this is done with a hint of a chilling possibility: that Phainon is becoming the feared Lord Ravager, Irontomb. The Irontomb Connection and the Fate of Phainon The core of the trailer is a haunting question of whether Phainon still remains himself or whether he has turned into something much worse. Many hints point towards his transformation into Irontomb: Infinite Loops and Erosion of Emotions The counter 33,550,336 is something more than a background detail. It is a pain record. Phainon failed, he survived, and he saw the annihilation of the world over millions of cycles. This repetition over and over again is cumbersome and saps his humanity and willpower. Following the numerous resets, even the strongest sense of self starts to fall apart. The Flame Reaver's Blade and Golden Ichor When Phainon holds the weapon of the Flame Reaver, golden ichor flows from his hand, a substance commonly associated with Ravager corruption. It is later found out that this weapon is Dawnmaker, his own sword. This scene represents the protagonist and antagonist completely overlapping, where Phainon may no longer be fighting the enemy but becoming it. Monstrous Transformation As the trailer advances, the body of Phainon is mutated—having clawed hands, breaking effects of light, and ethereal fragments of the other Chrysos Heirs. His mutated body harshly resembles that of Irontomb, a Ravager that ruins civilizations by the systematic breakdown of the system instead of conquering them by brute force. DC This Week Roundup: Law and Justice
Harley Quinn #52 cover, via DC Comics. Ray: This book has always been one of DC's silliest, but it rarely gets as silly as this issue – as Harley and Ravager duel to the end in…district court? The two of them are facing the local council over a brawl they had when Harley tried to destroy Althea Klang's latest invention – a wifi hotspot placed right outside of Harley's landlady's apartment building. Ravager was hired to stop Harley, which led to a Looney Tunes-esque battle of wills and bats. There's also an interesting subplot involving Chicken Fingers, who surprisingly can't back up Harley on this one and his dark, shocking (for this book) origin is revealed. Overall, it's pretty funny and Harley and Ravager playing off each other is great. I'm not sure about the ongoing subplot involving Althea Klang's crush on Harley, though – the villainess isn't a particularly entertaining character, and I don't get why both Harley and Ivy are being given new love interests suddenly. Peacemaker Presents Vigilante/Eagly Double-Feature #4 – James Gunn, Story Consultant; Tim Seeley, Rex Ogle, Writers; Mitch Gerads, Matteo Lolli, Artists; John Kalisz, Colorist Ray – 8/10 Ray: This two-part series is defined by one thing – ultraviolence and lots of it. The first story, by Seeley and Gerads, turns Vigilante loose on the most violent assassins in the city. This story might not have too much in the way of complex plot, with only short segments each issue, but Seeley's biggest role in this is taking us inside the thoroughly insane mind of Vigilante as he gets more and more unhinged with each issue. The second story doesn't work quite as well on that front, with Peacemaker and Eagly's adventure having more of a Looney Tunes vibe with a lot more blood. Peacemaker might as well be a pincushion, as many times as he gets stabbed by the assassins roaming the island. While he eventually does take them all out and get some peace, there's another unexpected villain lurking for the final showdown. Fun, but not much of a story either. Chapter 14- Spire of Nerathul Shield charge the glowing node for triggering the Cyberdemon fight. Deplete the shields by killing it. Then, execute. Chapter 15- City of Ry'uul The Agaddon Hunter lurks in a first combat zone after the Dreadmace is obtained. Ensure to take it down quickly. Chapter 19- Harbor of Souls Defeat Komodo amidst the waves of the Pinky Riders. The death of the rider will drop the essence. Chapter 20- Resurrection The Revenant leader will appear early on. Kill the surrounding demons for breaking the shields. Then, finish it. If you missed either of the upgrades, just replay the chapters through the mission select screen. Collect all the 10 to max the health. Do not ignore the upgrades, as each of the essences will help you progress towards essentially unstoppable achievement.
