Using a combination of aloe and coconut oil, this skin lotion can soothe and bring hydrating relief to your sun-kissed skin, working much quicker and more effectively than simple aloe alone. Warning: your jaw may unhinge when you realize just how much this baby can hold. A hidden fly trap that can zap all the creepy crawlies lurking in your home without ruining your perfectly curated home aesthetics. You can plug this into an outlet, and the tiny light will lure in those pesky pests by the dozen. A Nex Playground — you don't have to actually exit the home to make sure your kids are burning all the energy they need to during summer break. This console (which is fully controlled by motion play rather than a remote) is toddler-friendly and comes with five super fun starter games, with more than 40+ games in the library available if you get their Play Pass. The Nex is great at tracking, no matter how tiny the player is, and has so many fun AND educational games! A set of breathable, seamless thongs if you're the type of person who "never wears thongs" or "hates thongs." These are incredibly comfortable to wear all day, perfect for avoiding VPL with your sundresses, *and* they've even been compared to $$$ brands like Skims and Victoria's Secret. Finally, a thong you won't feel the need to dig out or readjust every five seconds or so. A mason jar cold brew maker that will save you some money in the long haul when you start cutting down on those early morning Dunkin' runs. Say goodbye to the days of being late to work while stuck in a ridiculously long drive-thru line; your perfect cup can be made right at home — no heavy machinery or electricity required. A stackable oval gem ring beautiful enough to use as a pseudo wedding ring when you go traveling this summer — because if you lose this, you won't be crying into your piña colada, as this gorgeous piece costs less than your fancy lil' cocktail. Plussss, it's also stackable with other high-quality Pavoi rings. Win-win! A 360-degree rotatable electric car fan so you can cool down your backseat quicker than it takes for the AC to circulate through the car. This is especially perfect for any little ones in rear car seats because, as anyone who lives in a hot climate knows, the car can get super hot, super fast. A waterproof pouch because you've always wanted to have a cool underwater photoshoot, and this pouch is bound to make your dreams come true. It'll keep your phone safe as you wade into the ocean, and you can still use your touchscreen! Time to take pics of all the cool fishies! 🐠🐟🐡 A 360-degree portable neck fan for those of you who wanna stay cool even as the humidity climbs rapidly throughout the day. Just charge it with a USB and plop it around your neck for a portable AC unit that'll keep you cool as you brave the summer heat. The internet-famous Revlon oil-absorbing volcanic face roller has become internet-famous for its ability to make excess oil disappear without the need to use blotting strips! Just swipe it over your face and watch how easily all that extra oil vanishes. A Frostbuddy — in other words, the caffeine lover's biggest dream. You can just plop your iced latte into this, and it'll ensure that your drink stays iced cold (yeah, even if it takes you hours to drink your full cup). Slow slippers everywhere just shed a tear of joy. A pack of unscented antiperspirant wipes for those of you who sweat the absolute second you leave your home — no matter what the weather may be. Now you can finally wear a light-colored top without fear that a huge sweat stain will take away from the aesthetics of your perfect 'fit.

Meta's Oakley Smart Glasses Could Spell the End for GoPros

New partnerships with Oakley and Prada are expanding the horizons of Meta's smart glasses beyond Ray-Bans. Smart glasses are complicated. They have to be thin but also big enough to fit all of the important tech. They ought to be more than just glorified Bluetooth audio devices, too, since we already have those; they definitely have to fit a camera that doesn't suck and a voice assistant that can get the job done. On top of all of the technical constraints, there's also one burden that makes them different than other wearables—they absolutely, positively, cannot look dorky on your face. Because of that constraint, Meta, arguably the biggest player in the smart glasses space right now, has previously partnered with EssilorLuxottica, the maker of Ray-Bans, to help design the glasses part of its smart glasses, and now, it's tapping even more eyewear brands to help bring its glasses to new frontiers. First, there's Oakley, which, in case you've never been snowboarding or on a boat, is a sporty sunglasses brand that makes wraparound shades that won't look out of place at a NASCAR race. In one way, it's a strange departure, but could also be a solid play for a different kind of audience. While Ray-Bans are pretty all-purpose and could appeal to anyone with enough money to justify buying them, Oakley might make more sense for someone interested in sports like snowboarding or surfing. A new report seems to confirm that intention, too. According to documents reviewed by CNBC, Meta's Oakley glasses will be 'aimed at athletes' and are inspired by Meta Ray-Ban owners who've used their smart glasses for action sports-oriented ends. CNBC says that Meta's Oakley glasses will also be more weather-resistant, too, which will in turn come with a premium. Oakley versions of Meta's glasses may cost $360 as opposed to the $300 starting price of the Ray-Ban versions. The next evolution is coming on June 20.@Meta — Oakley (@oakley) June 16, 2025 Having used Meta's Ray-Bans extensively, I've often thought that they would be perfect for skaters, snowboarders, skiers, or bikers who want to record POV video without going through the trouble of rigging up a GoPro or Insta360 camera. While CNBC's report gives us the intended use case of Meta's Oakley smart glasses, it doesn't give any insight into whether there will be hardware tweaks outside of improved weather resistance. Personally, if these are indeed meant to be used in an action sports setting, I'd love to see camera improvements, including a bump from 30 frames per second to 60 fps and maybe even some advanced motion smoothing so your boarding vids don't look shaky. Heck, maybe even toss in another camera for a wider field of view or different types of footage. Meta's second collab may be less fruitful from the actual application of smart glasses side of things, but it signifies a shift in direction all the same. According to the same CNBC report, Meta will also partner with Prada to release a more high-end pair of smart glasses. The partnership could be a perfect fit for Prada's specific style of glasses since the arms are already thick, allowing plenty of room for the technical components required to make smart glasses work in the first place. A Prada partnership may not yield as many exciting improvements, but it might help Meta expand its audience to women or people who want a pair of smart glasses that are more high-fashion. We'll have more answers soon enough. Meta plans to unveil its new partnerships on Friday, so stay tuned for updates from us on the future of wraparound smart sunglasses.

PSA: Get Your Parents Off the Meta AI App Right Now

As much as I've enjoyed using Meta's Ray-Bans, I haven't been a very big fan of the switch/rebrand from the Meta View app, which was a fairly straightforward companion to the smart glasses. Now, we've got the Meta AI app, a very not-straightforward half-glasses companion that really, really tries to get you to interact with—what else—AI. The list of reasons why I don't like the app transition is long, but there's always room for more grievances in my book, and unfortunately for Meta (and for us), that list just got a little bit longer. Wild things are happening on Meta's AI app. The feed is almost entirely boomers who seem to have no idea their conversations with the chatbot are posted publicly. They get pretty personal (see second pic, which I anonymized). — Justine Moore (@venturetwins) June 11, 2025 There were a lot of tweaks when Meta crossed over from the Meta View app to the Meta AI app back in late April, and it seems not all of them have been registered by the people using it. Arguably one of the biggest shifts, as you can see from the tweet above, is the addition of a 'Discover' feed, which in this case means that you can see publicly, by default, what kinds of prompts people are funneling into Meta's ChatGPT competitor. That might be fine if those people knew that what they were asking Meta AI would be displayed in a public feed that's prominently featured in the app, but based on the prompts highlighted by one tech investor, Justine Moore, on X, it doesn't really look like people do know that, and it's bad, folks. Very bad. I spent an hour browsing the app, and saw: -Medical and tax records -Private details on court cases -Draft apology letters for crimes -Home addresses -Confessions of affairs …and much more! Not going to post any of those – but here's my favorite so far — Justine Moore (@venturetwins) June 12, 2025 As Moore notes, users are throwing all sorts of prompts into Meta AI without knowing that they're being displayed publicly, including sensitive medical and tax documents, addresses, and deeply personal information—including, but not limited to—confessions of affairs, crimes, and court cases. The list, unfortunately, goes on. I took a short stroll through the Meta AI app for myself just to verify that this was seemingly still happening as of writing this post, and I regret to inform you all that the pain train seems to be rolling onward. In my exploration of the app, I found seemingly confidential prompts addressing doubts/issues with significant others, including one woman questioning whether her male partner is truly a feminist. I also uncovered a self-identified 66-year-old man asking where he can find women who are interested in 'older men,' and just a few hours later, inquiring about transgender women in Thailand. I can't say for sure, but I am going to guess that neither of these prompts was meant for public consumption. I mean, hey, different strokes for different folks, but typically when I'm seeking dating advice for having doubts about my relationship, I prefer it to be between me and a therapist or close friend. Gizmodo has reached out to Meta about whether they're aware of the problem and will update this post with a response if and when we receive one. For now, it's advisable, if you're going to use the Meta AI app, to go to your settings (or your parents' settings) and change the default to stop posting publicly. To do that, pull open the Meta AI app and: Tap your profile icon at the top right. Tap 'Data & Privacy' under 'App settings.' Tap 'Manage your information.' Then, tap 'Make all your prompts visible to only you.' If you've already posted publicly and want to remove those posts, you can also tap 'Delete all prompts.' I've seen a lot of bad app design in my day, but I'll be honest, this is among the worst. In fact, it's evocative of a couple of things, including when Facebook released a search bar back in the day that was misconstrued for the post bar by some, causing users to type and enter what they thought was a private search into the post field. There's also a hint of Venmo here when users were unaware that their payments were being cataloged publicly. As you might imagine, those public payments led to some unsavory details being aired. For now, I'd say it's probably best to steer clear of using Meta AI for anything sensitive because you might get a whole lot more publicity than you bargained for.
