Baby joy! Home and Away star Luke Jacobz expecting second child with wife Raychel after fertility struggles

Luke Jacobz has revealed he and wife Raychel are expecting their second child – a baby boy – following years of fertility struggles and heartache. The former Home and Away heartthrob, 44, best known for playing Angelo Rosetta, said the couple were left stunned to discover they had conceived naturally, after initially turning to IVF to fall pregnant with their first daughter, Maisie. 'We're having a boy! We are just over the moon,' Luke told Woman's Day this week. 'That we were actually able to fall naturally with number two – I jumped up and down and lost my mind.' Luke and Raychel, who met in 2017, began trying for a baby the following year but soon found themselves on an emotional rollercoaster. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Despite being given the all-clear medically, they struggled to conceive and eventually turned to IVF via Adora Fertility. Their journey was anything but smooth – involving multiple rounds of egg retrievals, repeated embryo transfers, and three devastating early miscarriages. With just one embryo left, the couple made the difficult decision to undergo one final transfer before their wedding, which had been delayed twice due to COVID. Incredibly, the transfer worked, and Raychel walked down the aisle four months pregnant. 'We weren't expecting that, so we just lost our minds,' Luke said. 'We were so close to not trying anymore because it was just so hard.' But after a harrowing pregnancy and a traumatic birth, the couple believed their family was complete. That is, until their daughter Maisie turned one, and they began to feel a growing desire to give her a sibling. 'We felt selfish not trying again,' Luke admitted. 'But we never imagined it would happen without help.' The couple welcomed their first child, Maisie, back in November 2023. In a sweet Instagram post, the television presenter was thrilled as he shared the good news with his 104,000 followers alongside several snaps of the newborn. 'Words cannot describe how happy we are to bring our bundle of joy into the world,' he captioned his post. 'Maisie - you are so loved and we could not ask for anything more perfect than you.' Luke added that his wife, now a new mum, was 'doing so well' and admitted the birth process was hectic. 'We had a very 'eventful' delivery day but it was all worth it,' he continued.

Policewoman saves drug addict's life - but his reaction puts her in hospital

Mother-of-two and police officer Raychel Willey, 34, quickly saved the life of a drug addict who appeared to be overdosing but he paid the cop back by dragging her along the street with his car A police officer who saved a drug addict's life was later sent to hospital herself after the man dragged her through a car park seconds after she spared him from death. Raychel Willey, 34, was violently attacked on Friday after she was flagged down to deal with a man who was believed to be overdosing in an SUV. The police officer, at around 10:30am, administered Narcan to the man - which is a medication to help reverse the effects of an opioid overdose - which made him conscious again in just seconds. Despite Raychel having just saved his life, the man panicked when he woke up at a Walmart car park in New Orleans and tried to desperately flee the scene. ‌ ‌ Local cops said the man dragged Raychel, who was physically attached to his SUV, with him during his escape attempt. Witnesses said the man appeared to start his getaway when the cop was trying to remove him from his SUV. The suspect also hit another woman with his car before exiting the Walmart car park. The police officer was eventually able to take out her gun and shoot at him. Police said: "Witnesses said the man appeared to start his getaway when the cop was attempting to remove him from his SUV." She got herself off the moving car and landed under another vehicle before the driver smashed into another car. The man was rushed to hospital but he later died from his injuries, according to the New Orleans Police Department, and his identity has not been revealed yet. Mother-of-two Raychel was also taken to hospital after sustaining multiple injuries in her horror ordeal but she is said to be in a stable condition. The other female victim was also taken in for treatment of minor injuries. Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick said: "Here our officer was trying to give aid to someone to try to help them and save them and it turned on a dime." Raychel, who is a Navy veteran, has been with the force since 2016. ‌ The NOPD revealed an investigation was launched into the shocking incident and said Raychel was put on "administrative reassignment" pending the outcome of the probe, which cops added was standard protocol. Local residents shared their shock at Friday night's horror as one shopper spoke to WDSU and said: "This person, body, went against my truck and I lost sight of her as the car kept moving down the street. I was able to make sure that I was at a standstill, and that was a good thing. "I wasn't moving. My concern was not about myself but was she okay? And I am just so thankful that she was okay."
