Raza Kakar seals dramatic victory in Dubai Golf and Viya Golf Medalford
Under bright skies and championship conditions, the Dubai Golf and Viya Golf Medalford event brought together 88 golfers for a thrilling day of dual-format competition, combining the precision of Medal play with the dynamic scoring of Stableford.
Emerging from a closely contested leaderboard, Raza Kakar was crowned the July Champion, clinching the title with a stellar net 67, edging out the competition in a three-way countback.
In the gross division, Tom Stephenson delivered a composed round of 2-under-par 70 to claim Overall Gross Winner, narrowly besting Mikhail Pinto, who posted a solid 71.
Michelle Walsh-Hall, who also holds the honour of being the 2026 Lady Captain, added to her trophy haul with a commanding net 69, earning the title of Ladies Champion. She also made her mark by defeating the pro, Michael Sweenie, on the popular 'Beat the Pro' challenge at the 6th hole.
On-course skill competitions added even more excitement:

The Stableford division ended in a nail-biting tie, with Elie Nassif emerging victorious on countback over Callum Smithson, both scoring 39 points.

Winner: Harry Northrop – net 67 (CB)
Runner-up: Alex Whayman – net 68 (CB)
Third Place: Andrea Cappellini – net 68 (CB)
Division B (Handicap 10.5+):
Veteran golfer Russel Wilson claimed the Senior Champion title with a net 73 (+1), showcasing consistency across the course.
