Motorola Adds Bling to the Fold with Swarovski-Studded Razr 2025

Motorola is adding a touch of glamour to its foldable phone lineup with a limited-edition Razr 2025, reportedly designed in collaboration with iconic jewellery brand Swarovski. If the leaked images are anything to go by, the already eye-catching Razr will become an even more striking statement piece. The renders, shared by YTECHB, reveal a refined aesthetic that distinguishes this edition from previous models. Subtle yet impactful, the design features small Swarovski crystals delicately embedded into a leather-like or fabric-textured back panel. These crystals form a diagonal, rhomboid pattern — a style cue more often seen in luxury handbags than consumer electronics. Further elevating the premium look, three additional crystals are placed above the cover display near the hinge, adding an extra layer of visual interest and exclusivity. This isn't Motorola's first foray into high-fashion tech. Earlier this year, the brand released a Swarovski-encrusted version of its Buds Loop earphones, alongside Pantone-curated colourways in Trekking Green and French Oak. The brand's stylish streak continued with a Paris Hilton-inspired edition of the Razr Plus in Paris Pink, featuring a vegan leather finish and interchangeable wrist straps. According to insider reports, the Swarovski Razr will retain all the standard specifications of the regular Razr 2025. That includes a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED foldable display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 3.6-inch cover screen, and a MediaTek Dimensity 7400X chipset. The device reportedly comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Its camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor, a 13MP ultrawide lens, and a 32MP front-facing camera. Powering it all is a 4,500mAh battery, supported by 30W wired and 15W wireless charging. There is no confirmed release date for the product, but reports state it may debut as early as August 5. Pricing details remain unconfirmed, but given the level of bespoke finishing and the premium Swarovski name, a higher price tag is widely expected. Related

Motorola is giving the Razr a crystal-studded special edition and here's your first look

TL;DR Motorola is preparing to launch a special edition Razr 2025 in collaboration with Swarovski. Images of this special edition foldable have now leaked. It appears this collaboration is limited to just the base model It's not uncommon for Motorola to loop in collaborators to create special editions of its products. For example, the company recently teamed up with jewelry maker Swarovski to launch a special edition of its new Moto buds loop. That partnership isn't ending with earbuds, however, as Swarovski is also helping out with a special edition for the Razr 2025. A new leak may have now given us our first look at this joint effort. The folks over at YTECHB have shared images of this special edition Swarovski Razr 2025. Based on these images, the foldable will be studded with crystals, similar to the special edition buds loop. According to the outlet, the phone will be available in a colorway called 'Ice Blue.' It also appears that Motorola is focusing on the base model Razr 2025 for this collaboration. So if you were hoping that there would also be a Swarovski version of the Razr Plus or Ultra, it looks like you'll be out of luck. Coinciding with this leak, trusted tipster Evan Blass just provided a possible launch date for the special edition. It seems we can expect an announcement on August 5. When it arrives, it should share all of the same specs as the normal Motorola Razr 2025. Got a tip? Talk to us! Email our staff at Email our staff at news@ . Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE announced — and it's not as 'affordable' as we hoped

Ever since Samsung released its very first foldable, and we discovered how expensive it was, we've been clamoring to get a cheaper option out of the company. It was hoped that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE would fill that void, but it turns out that it may not be quite the affordable option everyone wanted. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE was just announced at Galaxy Unpacked, alongside the Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. While we're happy that Samsung is offering a cheaper entry into the Z flip series, we're less enthusiastic about the phone's $899 price tag. Here's what you need to know about the phone. The main thing to remember about the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is that this is not a flagship device. FE may stand for Fan Edition, but they're usually slightly cheaper and offer less impressive specs than their flagship counterparts. One of the key ways it differs from the Z Flip 7 is the overall design. While the flagship model has been revamped with features like a larger 4.1-inch exterior display, slim bezels and a new wider profile, the Z Flip 7 FE looks more like older Galaxy flippables — like the Galaxy Z Flip 6. Unsurprisingly that means we have the same 6.7-inches of interior screen space as last year's flip and the same cover display with the folder-esque cutout around the cameras. If you were hoping for the Z Flip 7's shiny new Infinity Flex Window to be on this phone you're going to be disappointed. In the camera department we're looking at a 50MP main camera lens, and Samsung is emphasizing the fact that you can use this lens to take selfies in "Flex View Mode." Which basically means the phone is positioned in such a way that you're using the main cameras and cover display to capture your dashing good looks. The Z Flip FE will be available in a choice of white or black, and will go on sale for $899. Alternatively U.K. buyers will be able to pick up a 128GB model for £849 and a 256GB model for £899. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. We're not surprised that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is slightly more stripped down than the flagship Galaxy Z Flip 7. That was always going to be the case, we're all too happy to sacrifice some of the most cutting-edge technology in order to get the lower price tag. Unfortunately the price tag isn't that much lower — just $200 less than the price of a Galaxy Z Flip 7. Admittedly it's $100 cheaper than the Motorola Razr Plus 2025, but it's also $200 more than the entry-level Razr 2025 model. Considering how expensive foldables are, we had hoped the Z Flip 7 FE would be closer to the Razr 2025 than its Plus-priced companion. At the very least $799 would have made it equal in price to the Galaxy S25 — which would have made it a much more palatable.

Deals: new Motorola Razr prices fall, plus iPad and Galaxy tablet deals

Motorola's newest foldables have been holding their prices at MSRP – until now. While the global flip phone market is fairly rich, the options in the US are limited and Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip6 is basically counting down the days to retirement. The Motorola Razr Ultra 2025 is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite, so it's ready to take on the next Z Flip. It is rated IP48 for particulate and water protection and has a fairly large 4,700mAh battery with fast 68W wired and 30W wireless charging. The Razr has a 7' inner and a 4' cover display, the latter is fully usable out of the box. The dual 50MP camera on the back has a main (with a small 1/1.95' sensor and OIS) and a 122° ultra-wide. The selfie camera on the inner display also has a 50MP sensor. The Motorola Razr+ 2025 is the middle option – a re-release of the Razr+ 2024 with an updated IP48 rating (up from IPX8) and a newer Android out of the box, version 15. This one is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, has a 6.9' inner and a 4' cover display and a 4,000mAh battery with 45W/15W charging. The dual 50MP camera has a different setup with a 2x/47mm telephoto lens instead of an ultra-wide. The main camera has a small 1/1.95' sensor (and OIS). Motorola Razr+ 2025 $100 off 12/256GB - $900 at Amazon US The cheapest model of the family, the Motorola Razr 2025, is still at MSRP, but even now it is at $200 less than the Razr+ 2025. This one has just about the same inner display (6.9', 1080p+, LTPO), though the cover display is smaller at 3.6'. The vanilla model is powered by a low-to-mid-range Dimensity 7400X chipset. It does have a bigger battery, 4,500mAh, with 30W wired and 15W wireless charging. The cameras are a 50MP main (1/1.95', OIS) and a 13MP ultra-wide. Like the rest of the family, the Razr 2025 is rated IP48 for ingress protection. Motorola Razr 2025 Read our review 8/256GB - $700 at Amazon US The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE price keeps fluctuating and is currently in the lower end of the range. While the Exynos 2400e is not the fastest chip in town, it's still faster than the Tensor G4 found inside pricey phones like the Pixel 9 Pro XL. Of course, the 50+8+12MP camera can't match the Pixels, but it does have the versatility of an 8MP 3x/75mm telephoto lens. And the phone will get six more OS updates (Android 15 is already here). The phone is rated IP68 and has a 4,700mAh battery with 25W wired and 15W wireless charging. Whatever happened to the Galaxy A56? It's coming soon, but it may have a tough time justifying its price against the S24 FE. The cheaper alternative is the Galaxy A36 with a plastic frame and a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. It has its limitations (IP67, macro camera instead of tele), but it will receive 6 OS updates – meaning this $300 phone has you covered until 2031. The A56 and the S24 FE will have to contend with the Motorola Edge (2025), which launched earlier this month. The Dimensity 7400 Ultra is rather weak – it's behind A56's Exynos 1580 and well behind the Exynos 2400e. However, the phone boasts an IP69 rating, a sharper 6.7' 1220p+ display and a 5,200mAh battery with 68W wired and 15W wireless charging. And the triple camera features not just a good 50MP 1/1.56' main sensor (OIS), but a 10MP 3x/73mm (OIS) telephoto and 50MP ultra-wide cameras. Motorola Edge (2025) 8/256GB - $550 at Amazon US The price of the refreshed Apple iPad (2025) has been falling gradually and now sits at $300. As Apple seems to have turned away from AI features, the Apple A16 chipset doesn't look so bad (its main flaw is that it doesn't support Apple Intelligence). Samsung's answer to the iPad is the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024), which costs about the same for a 128GB model, but has expandable storage. The Galaxy has a 10.4' LCD, compared to the iPad's 11' IPS LCD, both run at 60Hz and both support a stylus (Samsung includes it for free). With basic DeX support, the Tab S6 Lite is better at multitasking. Next up, the Apple iPad Air 11 (2025) and Air 13 (2025) bring more performance with Apple M3 chips. These two models also have 60Hz IPS LCDs and with USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 and DisplayPort, they can multitask on an external monitor with Stage Manager. Even so, iPadOS is not as good as macOS for serious work. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Tab S10 FE+ offer similar sizes of display, 10.9' and 13.1', respectively. Samsung at least had the decency to equip them with 90Hz IPS LCDs. These are powered by the Exynos 1580, which is much slower than an M3, but Android is more capable than iPadOS. DeX is supported, though the USB-C 2.0 port limits it only to the tablet's own screen. We may get a commission from qualifying sales.

Motorola Razr 2025+ review

Razrs aplenty, more so in the US than anywhere else. The Razr+ 2025 is another entry in the Motorola clamshell foldable lineup, a middle ground between the vanilla model and the high-end Ultra. Razr+ 2025 (left) next to Razr 2025 This particular model is seemingly a US-exclusive - not even Motorola Canada appears to be selling it. Both the US and Canada are getting the plain Razr 2025 and the Razr 2025 Ultra, so there's no shortage of North American Razrs. This year, there's no direct international counterpart to this Razr+ - the non-plus and the Ultra have their Razr 60 alter egos. Motorola Razr+ 2025 • Motorola Razr 2025 • Motorola Razr Ultra 2025 That said, it's worth keeping in mind that the Razr+ 2025 is in many ways the same phone as the Razr+ 2024, which, in turn, is the North American version of the Razr 50 Ultra (reviewed here). We'll be coming back to these comparisons along the way, as well as when we get to decision-making time. Motorola Razr+ 2025 • Motorola Razr+ 2024 • Motorola Razr 50 Ultra As the middle option in the roster, the Razr+ 2025 has a beefier chipset than the vanilla model, but not the current flagship Snapdragon that the Ultra gets. Another inbetween solution can be seen in the displays - main one is almost like on the vanilla model, the cover one is the same as on the Ultra. The camera system is another area where the plus is bridging the gap, relying on the same main camera as the Razr 2025, but paired with a telephoto instead of an ultrawide - the Ultra makes do without a zoom camera, but features nicer main and ultrawide modules. There's a minor upgrade in the ingress protection, same move to IP48 that we saw on the Razr 2025. However, there's no change to battery capacity, unfortunately. It's a graphite-colored cardboard package with not a whole lot inside. There's no charger, but you do get a USB-C cable, and it's an e-Mark-ed 5A-capable one, unlike the plain 3A cable of the Razr 2025. The Razr+ 2025's bundle doesn't include any form of protection, which was also our experience with the non-plus. North American models seem to be treated this way, while the rest of the world typically gets two-piece snap-on covers. Page 2
