Ahead of the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, which are scheduled to take place on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026, at Arena in Los Angeles, the Recording Academy has unveiled several new awards that your favorite singers and songwriters may be eligible for.
Among the changes this year is the addition of an award for Best Album Cover, news of which riled up a variety of fandoms on social media as word spread and listeners expressed their confidence in their favorites.
"they saw cover and had to do something quick," one fan quipped, referencing the rising star's controversial next album unveiling.

Additionally, the Academy has combined the Best Recording Package and Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package categories and has split Best Country Album into Best Contemporary Country Album and Best Traditional Country Album.

'That entails listening carefully to our members to make sure our rules and guidelines reflect today's music and allow us to accurately recognize as many deserving creators as possible.
