Song Joong Ki wants to visit supermarkets in the Philippines
Song Joong Ki has a surprising spot in mind for his next trip to the Philippines. At the press conference ahead of his first fan meeting in Manila on Saturday, the actor said that aside from going to island destinations for vacations, he hopes to visit local supermarkets in the country. 'I want to visit the supermarket and buy a lot of, you know, local biscuits as well and bring it to Korea,' he said. Song Joong Ki added he prefers going around like a local when traveling to other countries as well. 'The places that the Filipino locals really go on a daily basis, those are the places that [I want] to look around,' he said. 'Public market, the market, the local restaurants, the vibes to feel that I'm in the local places.' Unfortunately, the actor is leaving the country tomorrow, Sunday, so he is unable to check off his Philippine bucket list. 'Due to the short period of time that I have here in the Philippines, I won't be able to make that plan work. But the next time I come back to the Philippines, I really want to pursue that kind of schedule, [that] tour schedule for [the next] visit in Manila,' the Hallyu icon said. Song Joong Ki is best known for his roles in 'Vincenzo,' 'Reborn Rich,' 'Werewolf Boy,' and 'Space Sweepers,' among many others. Song Joong Ki surprised at Filipinos' love for 'Vincenzo,' says he'll call the writer for Season 2
Song Joong Ki was stunned to learn that Filipinos are huge fans of 'Vincenzo.' During the press conference ahead of his first fan meet in Manila on Saturday, the Hallyu icon was asked by GMA News Online what role he had in K-Dramas does he think Filipinos love the most, and was shocked to learn that it was Vincenzo. ''Vincenzo?' Really? Wow. I think I have to call my writer of 'Vincenzo' and director. They should make a season two of 'Vincenzo,' I think. Wow, I had no idea about that.' He added, 'So okay, I will call to my writer. He has to write a 'Vincenzo' Season 2. And shooting in Philippines, right?' Song Joong Ki said that he too enjoyed portraying the title character. 'I love my 'Vincenzo' character so much, deeply,' he said. 'And I don't know why, because just when I shot 'Vincenzo' in Korea, I felt something like, [I] feel free. And I really enjoyed that.' The actor added that the character having to kill others was an exciting trait, and that 'the comedy was very funny.' Song Joong Ki also said that if he could switch lives with any of the characters he portrayed, it would be Vincenzo. 'I think that this would be the refreshing character that I want to try living in, the Vincenzo character,' he said. Aside from 'Vincenzo,' Song Joong Ki is best known for his roles in 'Reborn Rich,' 'Werewolf Boy,' and 'Space Sweepers,' among many others. Season two of the show will reportedly expand its focus to a global corporation. 'Reborn Rich' confirmed for season 2
'Squid Game' star Lee Jung-jae's Artist Company, Artist Studio to create the new season "Reborn Rich," the series that swept awards and achieved global popularity for its adrenaline-filled narrative of a man seeking revenge after being reborn into the chaebol dynasty that wronged him, is officially returning for a second season. Season 2 is poised to expand its scope with a storyline designed for a global audience. While specific plot details remain under wraps, the upcoming season will stretch beyond the world of Koran conglomerates, introducing new characters and an expanded universe. It remains unconfirmed whether Song Joong-ki, who headlined the first season, will return to the series. Production duties for the sophomore season will be jointly handled by Artist Company and Artist Studio. Artist Company will take the lead on overall planning and creative development, while Artist Studio will oversee physical production. Both entities operate under the Artist Group umbrella — home to "Squid Game" star Lee Jung-jae and actor Jung Woo-sung, who serve as key shareholders. Originally airing on JTBC in 2022, the first season of "Reborn Rich," adapted from a web novel of the same name, became a cultural phenomenon, peaking at a 26.9 percent viewership rating.
