The film earned more than 400 crores at the box office on a budget of 150 crores. But recently, in a vlog, the director said that his entire star cast fell asleep while watching the film in the theater at the premiere. Here we are talking about the 2014 action film 'Happy New Year' helmed by Farah Khan, which managed to cross the 100 crore mark in just 3 days during its release. What Did Farah Khan Tell? In Farah Khan's latest vlog, she is seen visiting Sonu Sood's Mumbai house. She not only showed the fans the actor's entire house but also shared an anecdote related to Happy New Year. Farah Khan recalled that they were shooting in Dubai for 150 days. Sonu is a vegetarian, due to which he eats only salad. Further, she narrated an anecdote related to the promotion of the film and said, 'We have done so much PR that no other film of Happy New Year would have done. We toured for the film for 40 days and three weeks.' What Happened At The Premiere Of Happy New Year? Farah recalled and said, 'We also started a TV show. Happy New Year Dance Competition. After leaving that show, I was also doing dubbing and mixing and after that, we went to Dubai for the premiere. The premiere started, the entire star cast was sitting in the front row. The movie started and after 5 minutes, we all fell asleep.' It is worth noting that Happy New Year was produced by Gauri Khan under the Red Chillies Entertainment banner. Vivaan Shah and Jackie Shroff also appeared in important roles in the film. The film proved to be a commercial success and was included in the list of highest-grossing films of 2014, which has rating of 5.0 on IMDb. Alia Bhatt's ex-personal assistant Vedika Prakash Shetty arrested for fraud, siphoning Rs 77 lakh by forging actor's signature
Six months after a complaint of fraud and forgery was filed against Alia Bhatt's former personal assistant Vedika Prakash Shetty, the accused has been arrested on Tuesday by Juhu Police in Bengaluru. She's been produced before the Bandra Magistrate, which remanded her to police custody till Thursday. In January, Alia's mother, veteran actor Soni Razdan, had approached the Juhu police to file a complaint against Shetty, who was employed with Alia from 2021 till last year. The 32-year-old allegedly forged Alia's signature on documents in order to siphon funds from the actor's personal accounts as well as those of her production house, Eternal Sunshine Productions. As per a Hindustan Times report, Shetty routed the funds to her friend's account, who then reversed it to Shetty's personal account. While the said friend hasn't kept any money with them, they're also being questioned by the Juhu police in order to recover the stolen money. Shetty had been absconding for months and her location was finally traced down to Bengaluru by Juhu police. Alia and her sister, author Shaheen Bhatt, started their production house in 2022. They co-produced Jasmeet K Reen's black comedy Darlings, which also starred Alia, along with Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment, which released in 2022 on Netflix India. The film also starred Vijay Varma, Shefali Shah, and Roshan Mathew. Alia next co-produced Vasan Bala's escape thriller Jigra last year, along with Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. The film, which also starred Alia, Manoj Pahwa, Vedang Raina, and Vivek Gomber, released in cinemas, but didn't work wonders at the box office. Alia also lent might to Richie Mehta's thriller series Poacher, which released on Prime Video India last year. Alia Bhatt's Ex-Personal Assistant ARRESTED, Accused Of Obtaining Money Fraudulently
Last Updated: Alia Bhatt's ex-PA has been arrested on charges of allegedly swindling a ₹76,90,892 from Bhatt's production house and her personal accounts. Juhu Police have arrested Vedika Prakash Shetty, former personal assistant to Alia Bhatt. She has been accused of allegedly swindling money from Bhatt's production house – Eternal Sunshine Productions Pvt Ltd, and from the actress' accounts. Reportedly, Shetty had fraudulently obtained more than Rs 76 lakh from these two accounts. While the investigation is underway and more details are awaited, Alia or her team has not issued any statement regarding the matter as of now. Eternal Sunshine Productions was launched by Alia Bhatt in 2021. It aims to produce 'happy films" with a focus on 'real, timeless, and warm and fuzzy tales". The company's first film was Darlings, which was co-produced with Shah Rukh Khan 's Red Chillies Entertainment. It starred Alia Bhatt with Vijay Varma and Shefali Shah and is streaming on Netflix. Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt is currently busy with her Spy Universe movie – Alpha. The film also stars Sharvari Wagh in the lead and will be released on December 25, 2025. Besides this, Alia will soon also reunite with her actor-husband Ranbir Kapoor for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love and War. The film also stars Vicky Kaushal in the lead. Previously, in an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, Alia talked about the film and her reunion with Ranbir when she said, 'I, as an audience, am more excited to see him [Bhansali] and Ranbir collaborate, again, after so many years. I am like, 'wow, what's that going to be like?" Talking about reuniting with Vicky Kaushal, Alia continued by saying, 'Vicky and I coming together again; Ranbir and Vicky created magic with Sanju.
