Linkin Park Hits A Milestone On The Albums Chart For Only The Second Time

Linkin Park's Meteora hits 200 weeks on the Billboard 200, joining Hybrid Theory as the band's only ... More albums to reach the milestone after more than 20 years. AUSTRALIA - OCTOBER 12: Photo of LINKIN PARK; Linkin Park, Livid Festival, Melbourne - Australia (Photo by Martin Philbey/Redferns) Linkin Park has released albums for more than a quarter-century, though the band did take a several-year hiatus following the death of frontman Chester Bennington. While the group has produced eight traditional studio albums, along with several live collections, compilations, and other projects, it's the earliest efforts that remain fan favorites and charting successes to this day. One of the hard rock outfit's oldest releases continues to find space on several Billboard charts, more than two decades after it was first released – and this week, it helps the group reach an impressive milestone for only the second time. Meteora Hits 200 Weeks on the Billboard 200 Linkin Park's sophomore full-length Meteora has now spent exactly 200 weeks on the Billboard 200. This time around, the collection lifts ever so slightly to No. 142, as it moved 10,350 equivalent units, according to Luminate. Almost 10% of that sum were pure purchases, which is an impressive figure for a decades-old project. Two Linkin Park Albums Have Managed This Feat Linkin Park has now seen two titles spend at least 200 weeks on the Billboard 200. Hybrid Theory became the first to do so years ago, and it continues as the rock band's longest-charting success. That set, which sits more than a dozen spaces above Meteora, is up to 367 stays on the tally. Meteora Climbs on Billboard 200, But Falls Elsewhere While Meteora climbs one spot on the Billboard 200, it falls on the other four rankings it's present on this week. The 2003 project also lands on the Top Hard Rock Albums, Top Alternative Albums, and Top Rock & Alternative Albums charts, appearing at Nos. 11, 20, and 36, respectively, but those numbers are down from last frame. Hybrid Theory Still Leads Across the Board Hybrid Theory is beating Meteora on all four of the rankings where both efforts appear, but only slightly. That introductory project declines on the quartet of tallies, but still manages to live inside the top 10 on the Top Hard Rock Albums list. Meanwhile, Linkin Park's greatest hits compilation Papercuts falls to an even lower placement, landing at No. 25 – in last place – on the Top Hard Rock Albums ranking.

Glastonbury's real headliner? £8 lager and wine at 3x retail price cause outrage at Worthy Farm

It wouldn't be Glastonbury without a little mud, a lot of music, and a mild existential crisis at the bar. As thousands descend upon Worthy Farm armed with tents, sequins, and high hopes, many are now also clutching their pints like precious treasure, because at £7 a lager, they might actually be. Social media is now awash with screenshots, sighs, and stunned silence as festival-goers come to terms with the harsh reality: If you didn't pack enough booze, you're about to be bankrupt! It wouldn't be Glastonbury without a little mud, a lot of music, and a mild existential crisis at the bar. Pic: Jim Dyson/Redferns Festival-goers have since taken to X in their droves, angered by the astonishing upscaled prices at this year's bars. A bottle of Whispering Angel rosé will set you back a heavenly £50, while your local Tesco does it for £22.50. Similarly, 175ml glass of Della Vite Rosé Prosecco costs £15 and £20 for a large. Fancy the whole bottle? Well buckle up because it'll cost you a staggering £60. As thousands descend upon Worthy Farm armed with tents, sequins, and high hopes, many are now also clutching their pints like precious treasure, because at £7 a lager, they might actually be. Pic:However, the same bottle retails for about £21.50 in your local supermarket, making that almost triple the original price. Other cocktail offerings include mojitos, Aperol spritzes, negronis, and the pornstar cooler are all priced at £12 each or £40 a jug, does that come with a free camper van to weather out the hangover in or?! Following the price leak, one user took to X to help people get better bang for their buck, sharing which items are cheapest per unit. A modern day Robin Hood, thanks mate! Recalling the moment she heard the claims, Anita, 76, said: 'I went 'what?' I thought 'no'. And I said to Brian, 'Do you know about this?' And he said, 'Do you believe this?'' Speaking to the Mirror, Anita insisted that Freddie - who died in 1991 - was too famous for the news of a secret child to only be leaking now. She continued: 'There must be lots of people who have children that we don't know about. 'It's just because it's him. Because he's iconic. 'And the type of animal that he was, it seems inconceivable that he would have a child with someone we don't know about.' Before the iconic singer died of pneumonia caused by Aids in 1991, Freddie is said to have given his daughter 17 volumes of his personal journals. She kept them a secret for years, but recently handed them over to the author to form the basis of the book that'll be released later this year. The woman, who was born in 1976, says she always knew the legendary singer was her dad - despite being raised by a loving family. Freddie Mercury's family in bitter war with his ex who star 'left £37.5m' as they battle to get his belongings back She lives in Europe working as a medical professional with children of her own, making Freddie a post-humous granddad.
