Redmi Note 14 SE 5G is coming, main specs already officially revealed

Vlad, 24 July 2025 While we wait for the Redmi Note 15 series, the Xiaomi sub-brand has a surprise almost ready to go: the Redmi Note 14 SE 5G. This model will be launching in India on July 28, as a new Flipkart microsite reveals. It's billed to arrive with "killer specs" and a "killer price". Spec-wise, the microsite has confirmed a screen with 120 Hz refresh rate, 2,100-nit peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top, as well as an embedded fingerprint sensor. The device's dual stereo speakers promise 300% louder volume (not sure compared to what, though) and Dolby Atmos support. The handset's main camera will have 50 MP resolution and is using Sony's Lytia LYT-600 sensor with OIS for "superior low-light captures". The Redmi Note 14 SE 5G is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 7025 Ultra SoC, and it has a 5,110 mAh battery. Now, if you're confused by all of these specs (no others have been officially revealed yet), you're not alone - everything here perfectly matches what the non-SE Redmi Note 14 already offers in India, and that device launched way back in December. Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 So perhaps it's the new colorway that's worthy of a different name? The louder speakers too? The mystery will be solved in just a few days, so stay tuned. Thanks for the tip!

Redmi Celebrates 11 Years in India with Launch of Two New Smartphones

Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi is marking a major milestone in India with the launch of two brand-new smartphones, scheduled for July 23 and 24. The company is commemorating 11 years of its presence in the Indian market, having first debuted with the Mi 3 in July 2014. The announcement was made on Redmi India's official social media channels, where the brand shared teasers for the upcoming phones. While full details remain under wraps, the teasers offer enough to stir anticipation among fans, hinting at significant upgrades in battery capacity and power performance. 'It's been 11 incredible years since we first landed in India! We're celebrating the day it all began by bringing you not one, but two new smartphones! Get ready to experience the next chapter of innovation. Thank you for 11 years of unwavering support,' the company posted on X (formerly Twitter). Redmi also dropped a cryptic teaser on the power-packed nature of the new devices, promising a shift from underwhelming performance to something bold and reliable. 'Prepare to be overwhelmed by power. We're done with weak batteries, average power, and empty promises. This is the start of the #PowerRevolution. #mAhAisComing,' the company added in a follow-up post. While the company hasn't officially revealed the model names or specs, the visuals in the teasers provide some insight. The smartphone launching on July 23 features a sleek white finish with the Redmi logo placed vertically in the lower-left corner. The second device, scheduled for July 24, sports a dual-tone burgundy or brownish color scheme, signaling a distinct aesthetic direction for each model. The emphasis on battery capacity and power hints that Redmi may be addressing a common consumer pain point—longevity and reliable performance—something the brand seems keen to highlight during its anniversary celebrations. This launch follows closely on the heels of Xiaomi unveiling new colour variants for its popular Redmi Note 14 series earlier this month. These include a Champagne Gold option for the Redmi Note 14 Pro and Note 14 Pro+ 5G, which joined the existing lineup of Spectre Blue, Titan Black, and Phantom Purple (leather finish) models. Amid all the excitement, there's growing buzz around what might be next—especially the Redmi Note 15 Pro+, which has already become the subject of online leaks. According to popular tipster Digital Chat Station, the Note 15 Pro+ is expected to feature a '1.5K' display, ultra-slim bezels, and a dual 50MP camera setup with telephoto capabilities. It may also debut the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor and could come equipped with a massive 7,000 mAh to 8,000 mAh battery—though these details remain unconfirmed. As the countdown begins, all eyes are on Redmi as it kicks off a new chapter in India—celebrating past achievements while teasing the future of smartphone innovation.

Redmi 15 5G specs leak: 6.9" 144Hz display, huge battery and a surprising chipset

We've been seeing leaks for a 4G-connected Redmi 15C over the last couple of weeks. Now info on a 5G model has surfaced with better than expected specs. The Redmi 15 5G is said to feature a 6.9' 1080p+ 144Hz display. Previous Redmi models commonly had 720p+ resolution, so this is a welcome upgrade. The high refresh rate is the cherry on top (usually, we see 120Hz). There's more – the phone will allegedly be powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3. That too is higher than normal as the Redmi number series typically uses Snapdragon 4-series chips for its 5G models (e.g. Redmi 13 5G and Redmi 14C 5G featured Snapdragon 4 Gen 2). It's a 6nm chip, so it's nothing too advanced, but it's still a class above the usual silicon we see in these phones. The chipset will be paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB storage. The phone will launch with the tagline 'One Charge. Two days. Zero Worries.' and it justifies that with a massive 7,000mAh battery. Only two Xiaomi phones have a higher capacity – the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro and Redmi K80 Ultra, both of which are high-end models. The charge speed is on the low side at just 33W. That's going to take a while to fill all 7,000mAh, but at least you'll only have to do it once every couple of days. The leak reveals additional detail, like a 50MP main camera joined only by a 2MP helper on the back, plus a fairly basic 8MP selfie camera. On the plus side, NFC is supported, which isn't always the case in some markets. Redmi 15 5G leaked specs Speaking of, the price is given as 'RM 699-RM 750', which reveals that this info comes from Malaysia. The price converts to $165-$180, by the way. For now, there is no information on when Xiaomi will unveil the Redmi 15 5G. Given all the leaks, we think that the Redmi 15C 4G is just around the corner, but these could have separate launches. Redmi Note 15 Pro+ details leak

Redmi launched the Note 14 Pro+ back in September in China, and so obviously the brand is hard at work on its successor. Today, the first few details about the upcoming Redmi Note 15 Pro+ have been leaked, so let's take a look. The phone is said to sport a screen with "1.5K" resolution and thin symmetrical bezels on all sides, a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP telephoto camera, and a battery capacity between 7,000 mAh and 7,999 mAh. The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ will allegedly be powered by the yet-unannounced Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, which makes perfect sense considering the fact that the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ is using its predecessor, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. So, compared to last year's handset, the new one will get the same screen resolution, and the same resolution for both the main and telephoto cameras, but a newer SoC and a much bigger battery. Whether these upgrades will be enough remains to be seen. Do note that the model we're comparing to here is the Chinese (and Indian) Redmi Note 14 Pro+, not the international one - Redmi sometimes likes to launch different devices under the same name in different markets, though in this case the differences aren't very many.
