The day began early with a beach cleanup at Kodi Beach, carried out in association with the Karnataka forest department, Clean Kundapur Project, coastal security police, Kundapura Municipality, social activist Ashok Pujari, and members of the local fisher community. Starting at 7am on Sunday, about 27 volunteers participated in the drive, collectively removing 493kg of marine debris, including plastic waste, footwear, thermocol, and glass, contributing to the health of the coastal ecosystem.
The second event, an ocean-themed fair titled 'Celebrating the Sea Together', was held at The Bearys Group of Institutions for BEd students. As many as 92 students and faculty members engaged in an immersive learning experience. The session opened with a 20-minute short video on ocean conservation, followed by a series of creative and educational game stations, including Guess Who? (a marine life card game), Oil Spill 3D MCQ (a disaster management-themed quiz), Draw on a Canvas (a nature-based reflection corner), Good Habitat–Bad Habitat (interactive art on ocean health), Spot the Debris (identifying marine waste in artwork), and A Selfie Corner with a Sea Turtle (featuring a life-size banner).
The event ended with participants sharing feedback.
