Tasha Ghouri swears by product she's used since before Love Island
We initially fell in love with Tasha Ghouri when she made history as Love Island's first - and currently only - deaf contestant, stealing our hearts all over again in the 2024 season of Strictly Come Dancing. Now, three years since first hitting our screens, Tasha has even bigger dreams of proving that 'disability is beautiful'. The 26-year-old and proud cochlear implant user has often showed her 1.4 million followers exactly that, regularly sharing her go-to makeup looks and skincare picks. And this week, we sat down with the beauty enthusiast to talk about her summer essentials, favourite brands and future career goals as part of our desert island beauty series. For Tasha, the one thing she won't leave the house without is a polished brow (a girl after my own heart) - and to achieve that snatched, freshly-laminated look, she uses the Eyebrow Sculpt from minimalist beauty brand, Refy . 'I always like to have my brows done,' she said. 'That's probably the one beauty product I couldn't live without.' Liz Earle launches huge skincare bundle worth £191 for under £70 but you'll need to be quick Argos knocks 50% off four-seater garden patio set with parasol ahead of heatwave Tasha, who's become known for her effortless, fresh-faced beauty, has long been a fan of the 'clean girl' aesthetic, which is something Refy as a brand embodies. 'I've used Refy since before Love Island,' she explained. 'Their products are super, super clean girl and that's the vibe I really go for. I like a natural kind of glam.' Priced at £18, Refy Brow Sculpt is a wax-gel hybrid that works to sculpt, shape, and set eyebrows for a 12-hour hold. Flake-free with a zero-residue finish, it's sweatproof and waterproof, and was recently reformulated to be even better, infused with nourishing ingredients like Provitamin B5 and Glycerin. Wax-gel hybrid to sculpt, shape, and set eyebrows for a 12-hour hold It's racked up a near-perfect 4.9 star rating from shoppers, based on more than 3,800 reviews, which is a real testament to its adoration. One shopper commented: 'Brow sculpt has been the best product for my brows . I love it. I tell everyone to use it. It's perfect for creating that laminated look and they don't move all day. I'd never use anything else now.' Another added: 'This is my favourite product for my eyebrows, once I style them and brush them they stay like that all day.' However, while the product was reformulated, the applicator remained the same and some users haven't got along with it as well as others, commenting: 'I really like this product. I use it every day, it keeps my eyebrows in place from morning to night. However, I can't get a result I like with the integrated brushes so I use another one.' Refy's Brow Sculpt isn't just useful for taming brows, though. Tasha admits the Refy Brow Sculpt has come in handy for more than one beauty emergency. 'If I have greasy hair, I can just use the glue to slick my hair back.' Hack well and truly noted. Similar products come in the form of Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze Gel, which is £24, and according to Space NK, has sold more than 100 this week alone. Like Refy, it's a hybrid wax-gel formula that lifts and locks the brows in place while increasing volume. For a more affordable alternative, e.l.f. Brow Laminating Gel has more than 16,000 ratings on the Boots website, costs £8 and has been described as 'e.l.f's strongest hold yet for nailing that laminated brow look'. While Refy sits comfortably somewhere in the middle of budget and high end in terms of pricing, Tasha's makeup kit is a real mix of high street heroes, cult favourites and premium beauty. 'I use Refy, L'Oréal Paris, Rimmel, Maybelline, Rare Beauty, Armani - their Eye is incredible - and Charlotte Tilbury. It's a complete mix of different brands. I'm lucky to be in a position where I get gifted beautiful makeup and get to play around with it.' When it comes to her current go-to products, though, Refy tops the list, particularly their cream bronzer. She said: 'My favourite bronzer is the Refy one as well, I use shade tan, especially if I'm a bit more tanned, that's the one I like to use. 'Blushes I use a completely different mix, the Armani blushes are really really nice, a nice cheek tint. I recently discovered Morphe. They have a really nice new triple palette , I just used that on holiday and it added a really nice glow. And then if I want a more subtle blush I like Charlotte Tilbury Pinkgasm .' It's no surprise that Tasha holds Refy close to her heart. She's long admired founder Jess Hunt, both for her brilliant product formulations and her commitment to real inclusivity. 'I've actually been a fan of Jess Hunt from day one, so I followed her for many, many years. She's one influencer I've looked up to who's been in this industry for such a long time. I remember when she launched Refy and thought, 'She's going to nail this.' 'But what was so great about the brand was the diversity. That's what I really love. It wasn't all the same people, everyone was different. I think she used people with disabilities, and I think that's so lovely. Refy knows what their brand stands for and it's about showing your beauty, not hiding it.' But while Refy might be doing it right, Tasha is candid about how much work still needs to be done in the industry. 'There definitely still needs to be more movement,' she said. 'Even on brand trips, I never see anyone with any kind of disability. It's actually really sad. There's a big space in the industry for that, but it's often overlooked or treated as a tick box. True inclusivity means continuing the momentum, not just doing it once.' As a beauty enthusiast and disability advocate, Tasha's dream is to be the face of a makeup brand. 'I'd love to be the face of Charlotte Tilbury one day. Or Refy, I think that would be so lovely as I've used them for so long. I can see myself doing that. Or a skincare brand like Aveeno. Just to show that disability is beautiful because we need to be included so much more. 'There's still such a stigma around what beauty is, that it has this perfect, gorgeous look when everyone is beautiful in their own way. I feel that it still needs to break down those barriers and push beyond that.'

'I tried Molly-Mae's summer makeup routine - one product left me mind blown'
Molly Mae has shared what's inside her makeup bag for summer, packed with the dewiest creams and peachy blushes. The entrepreneur and former Love Islander shared a candid video as she did her summer makeup look - and it seems as if she's a huge fan of popular beauty brand Refy. Refy makeup is renowned for it's creamy formulas, sunkissed blushes and levelled-up brow products, and I knew if it was good enough for Molly-Mae, I just had to try it. It's a brand that is constantly cropping up on my TikTok and Instagram with their glossy and sleek videos and with so many celebrities and influencers hailing the products, I knew it was time I tried it out. However with a naturally oily complexion, I was worried how these cream-based products would last on my skin, especially in the warm weather as I usually have to layer on my setting powder throughout the day to help my makeup last without an oily outbreaks. Molly Mae regularly shares her makeup tutorial videos, and fans have been left in a chokehold with her glowing summer skin and it's all thanks to REFY's new Summer Sculpt Collection. Her video was just a few minutes long, but she transformed into a bronzed and dewy beauty. She captioned the post: "The same makeup look for 6 years. Did I achieve a more summery look? @REFY what magic are you putting into your glosses!?" She has previously been vocal about her love for the REFY Cream Bronzer and Cream Blush for years, which are included in the bundle from Jess Hunt's beauty label that is now on sale. The Summer Sculpt Collection contains all of the products needed for your summer makeup bag and features nine pieces of skincare products to help prep the skin as well as makeup items for the finished look. It includes the dual end Duo Brush, Face Sculpt and Sculpt Primer and all items are full size with the option to select your own shades in the blusher, bronzer and lip gloss. In her video, Molly can be seen applying the Face Sculpt moisturiser onto her skin, followed by the Glow and Sculpt Primer, which is fitted with a sculpting facial roller that is in essence a gua sha to help reduce any puffiness, and stimulate blood flow. So, I did the same - and I was very impressed with how glowy my skin instantly became. The applicator of the moisturiser meant my skin had a mini massage as I applied it which was a nice sensation, however I did end up rubbing it in with my fingers in the end as I felt it hadn't properly covered my whole face. One thing I always worry about with a hydrating formula is whether or not it will sink into my skin, as I am oily sometimes it doesn't mix well with my makeup, but this wasn't the case with these two products. Molly then applied her MAC foundation, so I applied my own foundation - I opt for NARS natural radiant longwear, and then copied Molly by then applying the cream bronzer. I used the Duo brush, which is a product the influencer said she "struggles to live without" and I can see why. It seamlessly applied the Cream Bronzer in shade tan to my cheekbones, and I was a little worried at first it was a bit orange, but it blended out very well. There were no patches or clumps - something I tend to get with a powder contour or bronzer and it enhanced my cheekbones well. I then applied REFY's Cream Blush in shade Malaya, which Molly called one of her "absolute favourites" and dabbed it onto the apples of my cheeks with the other end of the brush, as well as my nose to give a natural sun-kissed look. It's clear my skin was already glowing, and a far cry from the ultra-matte look I usually opt for, but I really liked it. However it didn't stop there, as I then applied some Gloss Highlighter in the shade Topaz to the top of my cheekbones and nose, which ehanced the glow even more. I usually never go for a cream highlight, and I was absolutely stunned by how it changed my face. It gave me such a natural yet dewy finish and I feel like my makeup will never look the same now without it. I always usually sway away from any type of product that is creamy and shimmery and I am definitely now converted to a huge fan - so thank you Molly Mae. I then moved onto my brows and used the Refy Brow Pencil in Dark - this isn't included in the Summer Sculpt, but if you are after a good brow pencil I would recommend. I then finished and set my brows with the Refy Brow Sculpt which is like a gel to keep my unruly hairs in place and then picked up the Lash Sculpt lengthening mascara. This is another product Molly gushed about as she said: "It's such a good mascara it literally doesn't miss a single lash. I didn't put on much, but if I layered up they would have gone mental." The unique shape of the wand means even the smaller corner lashes are coated evenly, however I felt as if I had to go over my lashes with another of my mascaras to give a fuller lash look. But for those who prefer a more natural looking eye this would be ideal. To finish off I lined my lips with the Lip Sculpt Liner in shade Fawn and a coating of the Lip Gloss in shade Topaz. I liked the shades of both of these, however the gloss is very sticky once applied. It's safe to say I am truly obsessed with these products, and after being worried about my oily skin, it lasted all day and I didn't feel sticky or oily much to my surprise. I wore it for the whole day and only applied powder twice - which for me is a real result. I feel like I would struggle to wear this makeup with anything other than a foundation as the brozers are quite orange and would look too much without. While it is quite pricey for the full kit, it really does contain everything you need for a perfect sun-kissed look. I am now a huge fan of REFY thanks to Molly Mae, and I feel like I too look like I've just stepped off the plane from Dubai thanks to the glowy products. The Summer Sculpt Collection is worth £184, but retails for £140, which is a saving of £44 exclusively available from REFY. Alternatively, you can shop all of the products I used seperately here: Dual end Duo brush Cream Bronzer in shade tan Cream Blush in shade Malaya Gloss Highlighter in the shade Topaz Refy Brow Pencil in Dark Refy Brow Sculpt Lash Sculpt lengthening mascara Lip Sculpt Liner in shade Fawn Lip Gloss in shade Topaz

Maura Higgins just shared which cream bronzer she uses to get glowy makeup
Looking for an affordable way to get that sun-kissed look while on your next trip abroad? Maura Higgins has just shared her secret for glowy bronzed make-up when she's on holiday and it won't break the bank The Love Island and I'm A Celeb star recently took to Instagram to share with fans some of her go-to makeup products. She uses these to get a sun-kissed glam look while on holiday. Only weeks after announcing her upcoming spot on The Traitors US, Maura looked golden and glowing as she gave fans a list of her makeup must-haves, including this affordable cream bronzer. Maura told fans she'd been using the cream bronzer from Refy in the shade Sand to complete her luminous look. Retailing for £18, this bronzer is touted as having a lightweight, buildable formula that blends seamlessly into the skin for a soft, velvety finish. Pairing the bronzer with her glowy complexion and a soft, smokey brown wing, Maura's Mediterranean look complemented the olden-toned bronze shade of the Refy product. Pitched as being perfect for light to medium skin tones, the Refy bronzer is set to create a naturally bronzed look, like you've just come back from holiday, even if you haven't been jetting off in style quite like Maura. The bronzer doesn't stop impressing with its creamy yet lightweight formula and glowy finish. This beauty is infused with Vitamin E, Sunflower Seed Oil, and Echium Plantagineum Seed Oil, which work to moisturise the complexion while delivering long-lasting warmth and definition without clogging pores or looking cakey. This natural-looking, buildable bronzer comes in five other shades to best suit your skintone, and it promises to even work for sensitive skin sufferers, as it's paraben-free and scent-free. And it's not just Maura who loves this make-up gem, as it currently boasts a near-perfect 4.9 out of 5-star rating, with over 940 reviews on Refy's site. One beauty buff who's just as obsessed with this bronzer beamed: "This bronzer goes on an absolute dream so creamy and light and leaves the most amazing glow!" Further praise comes from this customer who raves: "Lasts all day, goes on beautifully, no caking and gives a stunning looking glow!" And a third shares the same sentiments, saying: " This bronzer is so incredibly easy to wear. I'm obsessed. Glides on perfectly with the brush which I also bought. For anyone who never tans their face, this gives the perfect bronze glow. LOVE IT!"

'I found the perfect 'blonzing' product for summer that rivals rhode'
'Blonzers' are on the rise for summer, and Mirror's shopping writer Grace tested out Refy's newest blush drop to see how it looked on the skin Popular beauty brand REFY is one of our favourites over here at the Mirror. From the popular Lip Sculpt to the Lash Sculpt mascara (loved by Molly-Mae by the way) and my personal favourite, the Brow Tint, Refy products never miss. And the brand has just extended its Cream Blush range with two new shades that are perfect for summer. The shades included are Rust, a deep, warm-toned burnt orange and Plum, a cool-toned deep berry. Thanks to Hailey Bieber sparking the berry-toned make-up trend, and her popular Toasted Teddy Pocket Blush from rhode, we're not surprised to see that orange and burgundy blush shades are on the rise. I'm a huge fan of orange and brown toned blushers that give that popular 'blonzed' or sunburnt look so I was so excited to see that REFY had launched these new shades. Refy Rust Cream Blush Review What I love most about REFY blushes is the smooth, buildable texture that melts into the skin and creates that natural sun-kissed flush, and this new Rust shade is no exception. I hate cream blushes that require you to work really hard with the formula, and luckily this blush is quite literally fool-proof. It glides efffortlessly onto the skin, especially when using the Refy Duo Brush to apply it. And priced at £16, it's a really wallet-friendly blush that only requries a little bit each time you use it. Creating that beautiful 'sunburnt' blush look that I aim for everytime I do my make-up, and this blush is really the shade of the summer. Although I've not personally tested out rhode's Toasted Teddy, it has that similar burnt terracotta tone that's so popular at the moment. I'm not the only fan of these cream blushes with Molly Mae raving about the shade Malaya. This is a cool dusty pink with neutral undertones, perfect if you like using a pink blush that's not overly bubblegum or coral pink and has more of a mauve-y depth to the shade. A few of my other favourite blushes that have that similar bronze-y feel includes the Morphe Cheek Thrills Multi Finish Face Trio Palette, a fairly new product but already a staple in my make-up bag and priced at £19. Plus the Nudestix Nudies All Over Face Matte Bronze, priced at £31.50, which I used as a blush rather than a bronzer.
