Duplex fire results in no injuries

No one was hurt following a fire at a duplex in North Central Regina. (Source: X/Regina Fire) No one was hurt following a fire at a duplex in North Central Regina. According to Regina Fire and Protective Services (RFPS), crews were called to the scene of a duplex fire on the 1400 block of Garnet Street at 3:16 a.m. Heavy smoke and flames were witnessed by firefighters upon their arrival. The flames were eventually quelled, and crews were able to carry out their searches. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

One taken to hospital after west Regina house fire

One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries following a house fire in west Regina Wednesday night. According to Regina Fire, crews were called to a home on the 4900 block of Sherwood Drive around 8:23 p.m. Firefighters arrived to heavy smoke conditions but were able to bring the blaze under control. 'One occupant [was] transported to hospital by EMS with minor injuries,' Regina Fire said. The fire remains under investigation. (Sierra D'Souza Butts/CTV News) Regina Police Service (RPS) are asking drivers to avoid the Arcola Avenue and University Park Drive westbound lanes to Ring Road as an investigation continues. Early Tuesday evening, police responded to a single vehicle collision in the area. Officers were present at the scene - while a motorcycle was also spotted in the area. Regina Fire and Protective Services and EMS were also on site. RPS says more details will be provided as they become available.

Emergency crews called to house fire on Princess Street

Regina Fire says no one was hurt in a house fire early Friday morning on the 1400 block of Princess Street. According to a post on X by Regina Fire, crews were called to the scene shortly after midnight and arrived to heavy smoke and fire conditions. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to part of the main floor of the home, adding that searches of the residence have been complete and no injuries were reported. The fire is now under investigation.

Fire contained to basement of Regina house

Regina Fire says crews were able to contain a house fire quickly Wednesday night keeping it in the basement. Just after 11 p.m. emergency crews were called to the 1400 block of Retallack Street after receiving a report of a basement fire, a social media post from Regina Fire says. Firefighters saw light smoke when they arrived at the scene and quickly contained the fire. No injuries were reported, the post said. The fire is now under investigation.
