Three traffic diversions announced as infrastructure projects underway in Ahmedabad
The Ahmedabad City and traffic police on Wednesday announced three traffic diversions in three different areas of the city owing to ongoing infrastructure work related to the Bullet train project, the Kalupur railway station and a metro station at Kankaria.
Work on the Bullet train project will be underway in Ahmedabad from July 18 to August 10.
Girdharnagar bridge will be closed for these 23 days.
People can take an alternate route from Kalupur to Asarwa bridge and turn left towards Civil Hospital. People coming from Shahibaug can travel from Kalka Mata Mandir to Civil Hospital and then to Asarwa and Kalupur.
For the pillar work of an elevated corridor in front of Kalupur railway station, a 50-metre stretch of road had been closed since May 1, and now, instead of August 31, it will remain shut till September 30.
From Sarangpur circle, one can go through Revadi Bazaar and BBC market towards Reed Hotel and make a turn either towards the railway station or towards Kalupur circle. Meanwhile, those coming from Kalupur circle can use the one-way road towards the railway station and onwards to Sarangpur circle.
Between July 3 and September 30, work on an underground metro station will be carried out at Kankaria in Maninagar. A 500-metre stretch of road will be kept closed between St Joseph School and Rajpur toll naka.
People can travel from Rajpur toll naka to Mariambibi crossroads and then towards Silver police chowki towards Rakhiyal main road. Those coming from Anupam bridge can head to Silver Police Chowki and go towards Apparels Park and from there to Amraiwadi Rakhiyal main road. Those coming from Mariambibi circle can turn left towards Anupam Cinema to reach Rakhiyal Amraiwadi main road.
