Tickets about to drop for blockbuster WWE event in Perth
Fans hoping to see wrestling star and Hollywood actor John Cena in the flesh can secure their spot at RAC Arena when pre-sale tickets go on sale on Monday. Cena will headline the return of WWE to Perth from October 10-13, with three shows scheduled — Friday Night Smackdown, Saturday's Crown Jewel and Monday night RAW. Pre-sale combo tickets for the shows go on sale 1pm June 30, while fans who pre-register will gain early access to tickets. General public combo tickets will be at 1pm Wednesday, July 2. 'This will be the last time fans can see the legendary John Cena live at a WWE event in Australia, with the weekend in Perth part of his global retirement tour,' Tourism Minister Reece Whitby said. 'For over two decades, John Cena has declared 'you can't see me', well Perth, now you can. 'This blockbuster weekend promises an action-packed line up that can't be seen anywhere else in Australia, New Zealand, or South East Asia this year, and tickets are sure to sell out fast.' The State Government won't say how much bringing the wrestling extravaganza to WA is costing taxpayers. But, according to the Government, last year's WWE Elimination Chamber at Optus Stadium attracted 18,000 fans from outside of WA and generated $36.2 million for the local economy. 'Major events are a key part of the Cook Government's tourism strategy, they fill our hotels, boost hospitality and tourism businesses, and encourage visitors to not only come to WA, but to stay longer, and explore further,' Mr Whitby said. This week, WWE superstars Bianca Belair and Montez Ford explored WA's tourism destinations, including Kings Park and Exmouth, exploring the wonders of WA's Coral Coast, promoting the state. With WWE's new global broadcast partnership with Netflix, Western Australia will be seen by hundreds of millions of viewers around the world, showcasing the State to a massive international audience. WWE hasn't yet released details of how much it will cost wrestling fans to attend the Perth events, but at last year's Perth WWE event ringside tickets started at $400. Fans can register for pre-sale tickets here.

(Image via WWE) Rhea Ripley is one of the marquee players of the women's wrestling segment of the Stamford-based promotion. The Australian powerhouse has taken the WWE by storm with her dominating presence and ultimate wrestling prowess. However, Rhea Ripley has recently shared the backstory of how she got her nickname and what the initial suggestion she made to WWE was for her name. Ripley was last seen in action against Raquel Rodriguez on WWE RAW's June 23rd edition, where Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez ambushed her. Rhea Ripley suffered a 2-on-1 attack after being called out by Raquel Rodriguez during the segment. However, the reaction she generates every week on RAW is a testament to just how beloved she has become among fans. Rhea Ripley reveals her initial nickname suggestion to WWE WWE superstar Rhea Ripley has opened up about the origins of her iconic ring name recently during a podcast with Chris Van Vliet, where she described how the creative process behind the process was not smooth, and how she has faced rejection on making nickname suggestions. Rhea Ripley is famously known among her fans and the WWE universe as 'Mami'. However, the WWE icon has revealed that Mami was not the initial name that she had suggested to the company. During the Insight Podcast, Ripley revealed that she had initially suggested the name Papi instead of Mami to the creative team. But, the recommendation got flatly rejected by the company. Rhea Ripley: Mami Is ALWAYS On Top, Dirty Dom, Crazy Fans, Fav WrestleMania Moment, Buddy Matthews Describing the situation, she said, 'No, I was trying to push the Papi agenda. And they were like, 'Yeah, we can't do that.' And then Priest was like, 'What about Mami?' I was like, Okay, guess I'll be Mami. I was really set on the Papi thing. I was like, I can be a little s**t stirrer, just be Papi this, Papi that. But they're like, we just can't go there. And I was like, 'Okay, I respect that.' Mami's gonna grow on me, though.' In addition, she has also revealed how she initially hated her husband, Buddy Matthews : 'I used to hate him. I think he said this when he was (on Insight). I hated him. I hated him with a passion because I loved Sway, which was a female wrestler, and he was from Melbourne. He came from the back, and he just punched Sway straight in the face. I was like, sir, how dare you? I don't think I saw him before that, too.' Mami further stated, 'I think that was my introduction to Matt Silva at the time. And he punched Sway straight in the face. And then Jimmy Scarlet jumped the barricade and chased him away. And then they had a whole feud and all that. But, yeah, I didn't like him.' Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Top WWE star Rhea Ripley has revealed she is dealing with a persistent lower back injury. The issue almost caused her to miss her championship match at WrestleMania 41. Rhea Ripley was part of a three-way match for the WWE Women's World Championship on Night Two of the event. She faced champion IYO SKY and Bianca Belair in a match that many fans considered a highlight of the weekend. Rhea Ripley Details Her Back Injury In a new appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Ripley opened up about the lower back issue. She believes the injury started during a match in NXT. "Normally, my lower back, especially lately, I don't know what's been going on," Ripley said. "I think it actually started from the match I had with Raquel in NXT, where she gave me the back body drop onto the announce table, but we undershot it and I hit the very edge of the table, like right on my lower back." She stated that her back has never been the same since that moment. She relies on her masseuse to keep her ready for the ring. WWE Night Of Champions Full Updated Card With 2 New Matches Added
ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI - MAY 10: Jacob Fatu enters the ring during Backlash at the Enterprise Center on ... More May 10th, 2025 in St. Louis, Missouri. (Photo by Georgiana Dallas/WWE via Getty Images) WWE announced two new matches for the Night of Champions premium live event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on June 28. Rhea Ripley will battle Raquel Rodriguez in a Street Fight that seems bound to have some Judgment Day storyline tie-ins. It also could turn out to be the female version of the underrated WrestleMania 41 classic between Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest. Don't sleep on this match. The ladies will want to put on an excellent show. With Liv Morgan out with an injury, it could be another opportunity for Rodriguez to regain a singles push. Also, the red-hot Karrion Kross is getting a singles match on a PLE for the first time since 2022 when he lost to McIntyre in a steel cage at Crown Jewel. Kross has been quietly building momentum and is finally getting some spotlight to cash in on that charismatic creep-factor aura he's been radiating since WrestleMania season. If WWE is serious about giving him a mid-year bump, this could be the start of something meaningful—especially with a guy like Zayn who knows how to turn a match into a moment. Zayn is also at a point where his character needs a pair of jumper cables. Maybe Kross will give him a jump. With those two matches added, the NOC card is as followed: That's a solid six-match card, but it wouldn't surprise me to see another match added. We lost the men's intercontinental title match that would have seen Dominik Mysterio defending his strap against AJ Styles. Mysterio suffered an injury to his rib cage but is not expected to miss a ton of time. Therefore, it doesn't appear as though he'll be stripped of the title. That said, you have to wonder if WWE will move to add another title match to the card to lean into the championship concept a bit more heavily. Friday's episode of SmackDown is also in Riyadh, so it wouldn't surprise me to see some major happenings on the show. That said, it will be broadcast on delay in the United States. So WWE could play it more as a straight go-home show ahead of NOC. It's a show to watch as WWE has gone big throughout the entire weekend when they've had these kinds of takeover weekends. Currently, there are no tag-team matches on tap. It's a natural fit for one of those to be added to NOC on SmackDown. Something involving Logan Paul has been rumored for weeks, and if it doesn't land here, he might be added to something set for a SummerSlam build. Either way, don't be shocked if SmackDown delivers something unexpected. Stay tuned for coverage of any NOC-related events on SmackDown and of the PLE on Saturday.

WWE star Liv Morgan's biggest rival slams ‘disgusting' fans after injury
The post WWE star Liv Morgan's biggest rival slams 'disgusting' fans after injury appeared first on ClutchPoints. Despite being rivals, Rhea Ripley cares about Liv Morgan, and she sent a message to fans celebrating the WWE Women's Tag Team Champion's injury. Advertisement She took to X, formerly Twitter, to call out fans who were celebrating Morgan's injury. 'PSA. Don't celebrate an injury,' said Ripley. 'Disgusting behavior. Don't be like them.' We wish Morgan a speedy recovery from her latest injury. The extent of it is unclear, but it is reportedly '100% a legitimate injury,' according to PWInsider. Hopefully, Morgan will return to the ring sooner rather than later. Liv Morgan's latest WWE injury During the June 16, 2025, edition of Monday Night RAW, Morgan took on Kairi Sane in a singles match. In the opening moments, Sane avoided a kick by Morgan, throwing her to the ground. Advertisement Morgan landed awkwardly on her right arm. The slow-motion replays show her facial expression after falling, and she appeared hurt. She was writhing in pain before sliding out of the ring. She was unable to finish the match. So, Sane was declared the winner. It is unclear whether or not they will resume their feud upon Morgan's return. Hopefully, Morgan will have a speedy recovery. She returned from a different shoulder injury in 2023 that kept her on the shelf for roughly six months. Upon her return, Morgan has been on a tear. She won the Women's World Championship from Becky Lynch at King and Queen of the Ring in May 2024. Morgan would hold it for 226 days before losing it to Ripley. Advertisement Currently, Morgan is in her record-setting fourth reign as Women's Tag Team Champion with Raquel Rodriguez. They lost the titles to Lynch and Lyra Valkyria at WrestleMania 41 before regaining them one night later. Now, their fourth reign is put in danger of being ended if Morgan has to relinquish the title. Again, we will have to wait and see what the prognosis is. Morgan is already a two-time Women's World Champion in her career. She has also won the Money in the Bank ladder match once in her career (in 2022). Morgan also became the inaugural Women's Crown Jewel Champion in 2024 after beating Nia Jax at the namesake event.
