Intelsat and iKOMG expand Faith broadcasting via Galaxy 19
To further enhance its service offering, Intelsat has recently introduced audience measurement capabilities to its upgraded VideoNow electronic program guide (EPG) on G-19. Intelsat has announced the expansion of its partnership with iKO Media Group (iKOMG), strengthening efforts to deliver faith-based content to global audiences through the Faith Beyond initiative. The collaboration is centred around Intelsats Galaxy 19 (G-19) satellite, a cornerstone of free-to-air broadcasting across North America. Faith Beyond, developed by iKOMG, offers a fully integrated distribution platform tailored for religious broadcasters aiming to expand their global footprint and engage with followers more deeply. The all-in-one solution includes satellite broadcasting, OTT streaming, cloud-native playout, live event support, and metadata managementall delivered via the high-capacity Galaxy 19 satellite. In addition to prominent faith-based programming, G-19 is home to premium entertainment, news and free-ad-support-streaming content. ViewMedia and Intelsat to expand TV entertainment in sub-Saharan Africa
This partnership seeks to enhance the variety of channels available and creating new opportunities for ad-revenue generation. Intelsat has renewed its agreement with ViewMedia, a global media service provider providing a Free-to-Air (FTA) TV platform for sub-Saharan Africa. This renewal, leveraging the Intelsat 20 (IS-20) video neighbourhood and Africas premier DTH community, aims to bolster ViewMedias business in the region by expanding its entertainment offerings and attracting new channels. Intelsat will collaborate closely with ViewMedia throughout 2025 to develop new relationships with organisations, including those that handle regional audience measurement databases. This partnership will be instrumental in enhancing the variety of channels available and creating new opportunities for ad revenue generation. Sustainability showcased at business support event in Pembrokeshire
A NEW initiative aimed at supporting sustainable business practices was launched at a public drop-in event in Pembroke Dock on Friday (May 30). The Pembrokeshire Sustainable Enterprise Alliance (SEA) held its first public Sustainability Exchange at the Bridge Innovation Centre, attracting businesses and start-ups from across the county. The alliance brings together key organisations including the Port of Milford Haven, Bluestone National Park Resort and Pembrokeshire County Council, with the shared goal of accelerating sustainable business development in the region—from decarbonising supply chains to embedding environmental responsibility in day-to-day operations. The event offered attendees free advice and guidance on sustainable practices, alongside broader business support. Representatives from Pembrokeshire County Council, Business Wales, the Federation of Small Businesses, and Visit Pembrokeshire were on hand to offer one-to-one discussions. SEA's mission is to foster a greener and more resilient local economy by promoting business models that benefit people, the planet and long-term prosperity. Pembrokeshire County Council's Carbon Reduction Manager, Rhys Morgan, said: 'There are many businesses in this area already acting sustainably, and this event was about recognising and supporting that progress. Our regular Business Drop-In sessions are always popular, and it was fantastic to focus this month's event on sustainability and carbon reduction—giving local businesses a chance to connect, learn, and grow together.' The event marked the start of a new chapter in collaborative sustainability efforts across Pembrokeshire.
