But this week Erin Patterson was convicted of the murder of three people and no one has a single clue why. Did she hate her former in-laws? That's a bit obvious and relies on the timeworn trope that in-laws are awful (for the record, mine were lovely). And it turns out that in Australia, we don't even need to have a motive.
