Seventeen's Hoshi and Woozi to enlist in military in September
Seventeen's Hoshi and Woozi are set to start their mandatory military service in September, Pledis Entertainment announced on Tuesday. According to a post on the group's Weverse page, Woozi will enlist on September 15, an Hoshi on the 16th. 'They are scheduled to participate in the 'HOSHI X WOOZI FAN CONCERT [WARNING]' and the SEVENTEEN 5th Studio Album Yizhiyu video call fan signing as their last official activities before enlistment,' Pledis said. After enlisting, they pair be unable to participate in Seventeen's group activities but will stay connected with fans through pre-recorded content. Pledis also told fans not to attend the military site in person, but encouraged them to send them messages through Weverse. 'We ask for your continued love and support for the artists and best wishes for their safe and healthy return. We will also strive to provide our artists with all the necessary support during this time,' Pledis said. Hoshi and Woozi, also known as HxW, make up the third subunit of Seventeen following BSS and JxW. Their debut single album 'Beam,' was released in March. Currently, members Jeonghan and Wonwoo are serving in the military. Seventeen was in the Philippines in January for their 'Right Here' concert tour. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News

Oasis reunion tour tickets, dates, setlist and support acts
Fans scrambled to get tickets for the Live '25 tour which will be the first time since 2009 that feuding brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher will reunite on stage as Oasis. Tonight (June 21), a night of special BBC programming will take place as part of the final countdown to the tour. Oasis at the BBC will air tonight from 8.35pm on BBC Two and will be followed by a repeat of the 1997 documentary Right Here, Right Now. The night will finish with Later Presents Oasis - featuring an old performance by the band on Jools Holland back in 2000. When does the Oasis tour start? The long awaited Oasis' Live '25 tour kicks off in Cardiff on July 4 before a run of shows in London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Dublin. The band also announced dates in Asia, Australia, North America and South America, too; meaning the tour stretches out until late-November. Responding to fans' setlist questions on X, Liam Gallagher has so far confirmed What's The Story (Morning Glory)? tracks Hello and Round Are Way, plus 2000 Standing On The Shoulder of Giants chart-topper Go Let It Out for the shows. Other hits said to be included are Lyla, The Hindu Times, Stand by Me, She's Electric, Don't Look Back in Anger, Live Forever and Rock N Roll Star. Britpop favourites Cast and The Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft will support Oasis at all their UK and Ireland dates on Live '25. The Verve's 1997 album Urban Hymns has spent 162 weeks on the Official Albums Chart. Hit singles Bitter Sweet Symphony and The Drugs Don't Work were taken from it. Both acts are stalwarts of the British Indie and Britpop scene from the 90s.

Oxford University to host global climate and human rights summit launch event
A panel of speakers from global climate leadership has been announced for a launch event in Oxford ahead of a climate summit. The University of Oxford will host the launch of the Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Summit 2025 at the Sheldonian Theatre on Wednesday, June 4. Featuring keynote speeches, panel discussions, and performances, the event will bring together leading voices from policy, activism, business, and academia to explore the relationship between climate change and human rights. The launch event will take place ahead of a 24-hour global online plenary extending into World Environment Day on June 5. The evening will begin with introductory remarks from Professor Irene Tracey, vice-chancellor of the University of Oxford, and Volker Türk, United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. Professor Irene Tracey, vice-chancellor of the University of Oxford (Image: Contributed) The event will be hosted by Justin Rowlatt, climate editor at the BBC, and will include a rotation of speakers discussing how climate change impacts human rights and how these rights can inform responses to the climate crisis. The panel of speakers will include Lord Alok Sharma, a former COP26 president known for leading international negotiations resulting in the Glasgow Climate Pact. Vanessa Nakate, a climate justice activist and founder of the Rise Up Movement, who advocates for equitable climate solutions focusing on African communities, will also speak. Kate Raworth, an economist and co-founder of the Doughnut Economics Action Lab, whose work explores sustainable development within planetary boundaries, and Paul Polman, a business leader and former CEO of Unilever, known for championing responsible corporate climate action, will speak too. The audience will also hear from Professor Lavanya Rajamani, professor of international environmental law at Oxford, whose research and legal work supports climate-vulnerable nations in international negotiations, Emma Pinchbeck, chief executive of the Climate Change Committee, who leads the UK's independent advisory body on reaching net zero, and Dr Omnia El Omrani, a medical doctor and climate-health policy advocate, who has represented youth voices at recent UN climate summits and focuses on the health impacts of climate change. The event will be livestreamed and will conclude with a handover to partners at the University of the South Pacific in Fiji to begin the global programme at 10pm. The 24-hour plenary will include contributions from university hubs around the world, partners at UN Human Rights, and the International Universities Climate Alliance. The Oxford Mail and Oxford City Council are looking to find Oxford's climate heroes with this year's Oxford Climate Awards. Seventeen among world's top 3 touring artists by revenue: Billboard
Seventeen raked in the third-highest revenue among touring artists in the past six months, according to Billboard's biannual report published on Wednesday in the US. The band grossed $120.9 million, trailing only Coldplay and Shakira in the midyear Boxscore tally of worldwide tours for the period from Oct. 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025. The K-pop boy band held its international tour 'Right Here' from October last year to February this year, spanning 14 cities in Asia and the US. The tour sold approximately 842,000 tickets through 30 shows. On May 26, the 10-year-old act rolled out its fifth studio album, 'Happy Burstday,' sweeping the charts at home and abroad, including Melon's Top 100 and Oricon's Daily Album Ranking. The album sold over 2.26 million copies on the day of its release. Seventeen celebrated the 10-year milestone with an outdoor concert on a bridge over the Han River.
