Rihanna shows off her growing baby bump in an unbuttoned shirt as she joins partner A$AP Rocky and their one-year-old son Riot at AWGE show during Paris Fashion Week
Rihanna showed off her growing baby bump in an unbuttoned shirt as she joined her partner A$AP Rocky and their son Riot at the AWGE show during Paris Fashion Week. The pregnant hitmaker, 37, arrived for her rapper boyfriend's creative agency's menswear Spring/Summer 2026 show in the French capital on Friday. Rihanna looked effortlessly chic for the show as she arrived in an unbuttoned blue and white striped shirt - which displayed her growing bump. She paired the shirt with a low-rise navy pleated mini-skirt, strappy white stilettos and grey slouch socks, as well as a Dracula tote bag. The singer made her entrance carrying her one-year-old son Riot, who she shares with A$AP, 36, along with their other son RZA, three. Meanwhile A$AP sported a striking black leather zip-up jacket complete with a bright orange inside lining, as well as a baseball cap and a chain. Earlier in the day, the couple put on a stylish display on Friday as they attended the Dior show. Rihanna wore a plunging white shirt and lime green waistcoat, which highlighted her baby bump. She paired the base of her outfit with a brown and blue patterned coat and grey trousers, adding a further splash of colour with brown sunglasses with a clear frame. The star kept it cool by wearing her hair up in a messy up-do, emphasising her extravagant choice of jewellery, which included a striking Marlo Laz pearl necklace - worth a staggering $70,000 (£51,015). A$AP, 36, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, wore a blue shirt and jeans, similarly adding a splash of colour with a red, blue and green Dior tie. The couple's casually stylish outfits were very much in keeping with the theme of the Dior Homme Menswear Ready-to-wear Spring-Summer 2026 show, which took inspiration from the designer's New Look and the tailored suits that characterised it in the 1950s. Rihanna's current pregnancy will see her welcome her third child with the rapper, who she has been in a relationship with since late 2019. The couple welcomed their first son, RZA Athelston Mayers, in May 2022, and their second, Riot Rose Mayers, in August 2023. Meanwhile A$AP sported a striking black leather zip-up jacket complete with a bright orange inside lining, as well as a baseball cap and a chain Rihanna's appearance at the Paris Fashion Week event comes after her father's cause of death was tragically revealed on Thursday. Ronald Fenty died on May 30 at the age of 70 from a combination of acute respiratory failure, pancreatic cancer, and aspiration pneumonia, according to TMZ. Additional causes listed include acute renal failure and acute tubular necrosis, both indicating severe kidney damage. The cause of death comes after reported that the Umbrella singer, who is currently pregnant with her third child, is struggling with the abrupt and heart-wrenching loss of Ronald. Although the pair had a complex relationship, which included periods of both reconciliation and estrangement, an insider told exclusively that the death of the superstar's dad has taken a heavy toll on the superstar (born Robyn Rihanna Fenty). 'Robyn has had a very difficult relationship with her father over the years but his death has hit her like a ton of bricks,' the source said. 'Being pregnant and dealing with A$AP's legal woes have been an emotional roller coaster for her the last few months, and to add to it all, her dad was getting sick, and it started to become too much,' they added. They continued: 'As much as you realise that something like this is occurring, it is still completely heartbreaking and that is where she is right now.' The insider also noted that she 'has forgiven her father and, in death, they got back to a loving father and daughter relationship.' 'But, she is in pain, especially being a mother herself and there being a chance that her kids would have lost their dad to jail a few months back, she feels how important family is,' the source explained. 'This is going to take a long time, and maybe even forever to get over. Sad time in her world right now.' Over the weekend, news broke that Fenty died at age 70 in Los Angeles following a 'brief illness,' according to Starcom Network, a local outlet from Barbados.

Rihanna looks incredible in a lace bra and matching knickers as she lounges in bed for latest Savage X Fenty lingerie photoshoot
Rihanna looked incredible as she lounged on a bed for her latest Savage X Fenty lingerie photoshoot on Thursday. The singer, 37, modelled a purple lace bra and matching knickers from the new collection. Rihanna is currently expecting her third child with her partner A$AP Rocky, 36, but showed no sign of her baby bump as she posed to conceal her tummy. She teamed the lingerie set with a pair of metallic stiletto heels and styled her hair into a voluminous look. The update, shared to the Savage X Fenty Instagram account, was captioned: 'Black had its moment. Now it's Purple's turn. 'Soft N Savage Lace in Purple Persuasion. Rih made it iconic. You make it yours.' Rihanna - who shares sons RZA, two, and Riot, 21 months, with A$AP - revealed she was expecting her third child with A$AP when she debuted her baby bump at the Met Gala in early May. Earlier this month, Rihanna insisted her new album won't be delayed too much by her pregnancy. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the Umbrella hitmaker was asked if the album - which has been dubbed 'R9' - will be 'put on pause even longer'. She insisted: 'No, maybe a couple of videos.' Fans have been waiting nine years for the follow-up to 2016's Anti, but Rihanna has assured them that her plans are still in place. Rihanna also revealed she isn't 'too overwhelmed' by her pregnancy, although there was some initial shock. She added: 'I'm good! I'm shockingly feeling ok, and not too overwhelmed at the moment.' While details on her new album are few and far between, Rihanna recently offered a teaser of what fans can expect. She told Harper's BAZAAR magazine in February: 'I've been in the studio the whole eight years. But it didn't hit me. I was searching for it. 'I went through phases of what I wanted to do. ''This kind of album, not that album''. I know it's not going to be anything that anybody expects. 'And it's not going to be commercial or radio, digestible. It's going to be where my artistry deserves to be right now. I feel like I've finally cracked it, girl!' Rihanna insisted there was 'no genre' for the album, and she has been determined to make the next batch of songs something 'matching [her] evolution.' This summer Rihanna serves as a voice actor and producer for The Smurfs, a film based on the loveable blue characters. Rhianna plays the iconic Smurfette in the upcoming movie. She dropped a new song Friend of Mine this week, the first from the soundtrack to the movie. Friend of Mine debuted at No. 72 on the singles charts, a disappointing start for the singer's first new song in nine years. Rihanna hasn't seen a track of hers peak that low in almost a decade. The last time it did, was in March 2106 when Consideration, her collab with SZA debuted at No. 88.

Riot Games targets toxicity in League of Legends with new punishment approach
The ES Times — Toxicity in League of Legends has long frustrated players across all ranks. Now, Riot Games is taking a serious step to tackle the problem. Lead game designer Matt Leung-Harrison recently unveiled a major shift in the game's punishment system. As someone who's experienced the toll of in-game toxicity firsthand, this change feels overdue — but ultimately welcome. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Leung-Harrison laid out Riot's new philosophy: rather than simply applying harsh punishments, the goal is to promote better behavior through smarter, more targeted interventions. 'Our ultimate goal isn't simply to punish bad behavior,' he wrote, 'but to create a healthy, thriving environment in League of Legends that encourages good behavior and reform.' Behavioral notifications instead of harsh punishments According to Leung-Harrison, traditional disciplinary methods haven't effectively reduced repeat offenses. Instead, real-time feedback — such as behavioral notifications that let players know their actions are being monitored — significantly reduced toxic behavior to under 10%. This new system aims not just to penalize, but to educate and encourage players to reform, leading to more positive engagement overall. Smarter use of reports Riot also plans to refine how player reports are used. Many players misuse the reporting tool out of frustration, especially by mass-reporting entire teams — a move that undermines the system's reliability. 'If you just randomly report everyone,' Leung-Harrison explained, 'it reduces our confidence in your future reports.' Reports alone won't trigger instant action but will help Riot identify repeat offenders and apply escalating penalties when necessary. Dealing with the worst While most players can be reformed, Riot isn't letting the most toxic elements off the hook. Leung-Harrison noted that less than 0.1% of players consistently demonstrate abusive behavior until they are permanently banned. Some try to return via alternate accounts, but Riot is actively working to minimize their re-entry. 'We aim to give these players a permanent leave of absence from the game,' he added. A better League in the future Leung-Harrison concluded by thanking the community and Riot's internal teams for their feedback and patience. He reaffirmed Riot's long-term commitment to building a better player experience. 'Thank you as always for your feedback and patience as we continue to strive to make League the best it can be.' While challenges remain, this change in approach may finally mark a turning point for League of Legends — one focused on reform, not just punishment. Mehdi Belhamra – Esports and Gaming Writer

Minecraft Competitor Hytale Shuts Down After a Decade of Development
Hypixel Studios is shutting down development of Hytale, its Minecraft-like sandbox creator game. The studio, a subsidiary of Riot Games, posted a blog post explaining that financial support wasn't enough to buoy the long development time. The game will not be released to the public. Hypixel Studios has long struggled with delivering on the initial vision for Hytale, and Riot Games' investment in the developer couldn't change the fact that the game had a troubled production. A blog post from Hypixel Studios explains that the development team couldn't keep up with the rising bar of contemporary sandbox gaming. "Over time, as our vision evolved and the genre matured around us, the bar kept rising," the post reads. "Our technical ambitions grew more complex, and even after a major reboot of the game engine, the team found that Hytale still wasn't as far along as it needed to be." The Hypixel Studios team formed in 2016, taking its name from the wildly-popular Minecraft mod and server it created. An initial investment from Riot Games helped the team broaden its ambition from mod-making to full-fledged game development. Riot Games bought the independent studio in 2020, furthering the gaming juggernaut's investment in the completion of Hytale's development cycle. Hypixel spoke about development difficulties in its post announcing the shuttering of development on Hytale. It's unclear what, if any, role Riot played in stopping work on the game, but Hypixel Studios' blog post mentions that Riot Games helped the developer look for other investors before ultimately choosing to end development of Hytale. "As we begin winding things down, [Riot is] ensuring our team is supported with generous severance and resources to help them find what's next," the post reads. "It's not just thoughtful -- it's human. And it shows a genuine effort to take care of the people behind the work." The Hypixel Minecraft server currently runs completely independently from Hypixel Studios, and will not be affected by the studio closure. The latest games industry layoffs continue a nasty trend, as the past several years have been rife with career instability. Over 10,500 games industry jobs were lost in 2023, with an additional 14,600 disappearing in 2024. The layoffs have continued at Hypixel Studios and elsewhere, with Microsoft rumored to be preparing for a sizable layoff next week, according to The Verge. Representatives for Riot Games and Hypixel Studios did not immediately respond for comment.

NI game studio developing the ‘next Minecraft' announces they are ‘winding down'
Hypixel Studios – headquartered in the Patrick Street area of the city but with staff around the world working remotely – made the announcement on their website on Monday. The studio's CEO Aaron 'Noxy' Donaghey said the decision was 'incredibly tough news' and a 'painful decision'. Hypixel had been working on much-anticipated game Hytale for the last decade, having in 2020 been bought over and backed by Riot Games – one of the biggest gaming companies in the world based in Los Angeles. Billed by many in the industry as a potential successor to megahit game franchise Minecraft, Hytale's reveal trailer back in 2018 currently has 61 million views on YouTube. In his update on the studio's website, Mr Donaghey said: 'This is not the outcome any of us - at Hypixel or at Riot - wanted. "But after years of pushing forward, adapting, and exploring every possible path, it became clear we couldn't bring Hytale to life in a way that truly delivered on its promise. 'Game development is brutally hard - especially when you're trying to build something original that speaks to a creative, passionate community. Over time, as our vision evolved and the genre matured around us, the bar kept rising. "Our technical ambitions grew more complex, and even after a major reboot of the game engine, the team found that Hytale still wasn't as far along as it needed to be. "It became clear we'd need a lot more time to get it to a place where it could support the ambitious vision for the game. 'We looked at reducing scope, adjusting timelines, and finding new angles to keep moving forward. But each of those options would have meant compromising on what made Hytale special in the first place. "It wouldn't have been the game we set out to make. And it wouldn't have been the game you deserve. 'This is a painful decision. We still believe in Hytale. We believe in the team, and are forever grateful to every member, past or present, who poured their love into the game. "We're also incredibly proud of the work we did: the world we imagined, the risks we took, and the heart we poured into this project. None of that can be taken away. "And just to clarify - this doesn't affect the Hypixel server on Minecraft. It's run separately from Hypixel Studios and will continue to operate as usual. 'We're also deeply grateful to Riot - not just for the years of support and the opportunities they gave us, but for the care they're showing our team during this transition. News Catch Up - Monday 23rd June "They supported us in going out into the world to see if there were investors or acquirers who could continue to help carry Hytale forward. And now, as we begin winding things down, they're ensuring our team is supported with generous severance and resources to help them find what's next. "It's not just thoughtful - it's human. And it shows a genuine effort to take care of the people behind the work.'
