Tusshar Kapoor on joining the cast of 'Masti 4': 'It feels like a reunion because...'

When asked about the on-set chemistry with the original trio, Tusshar reflects, 'I've worked with all the 3 actors separately before and with Riteish and Aftab in a similar zone for Kyaa Kool Hai Hum!' read more Tusshar Kapoor has officially joined the ensemble cast of Masti 4, and the actor has spoken about it as per a report by Mid-day. On stepping into this new role, Tusshar shares, 'Masti is a bonafide and successful brand in the comic genre, my role is an interesting new addition and I wanted to collaborate with Indra Kumar ji and Amar Jhunjhunwala for a long time for something worthwhile! Plus Milap Zaveri and I have worked earlier, but this time around it's much bigger and better, too!' STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD Adding further, he reveals, 'I readily accepted this film after hearing a brief narration of the story and my role in it! I can't reveal much about my character now but it's something you've never seen me do before! I had to watch a few regional as well as foreign language films to prepare for it!' When asked about the on-set chemistry with the original trio, Tusshar reflects, 'I've worked with all the 3 actors separately before and with Riteish and Aftab in a similar zone for Kyaa Kool Hai Hum! Therefore, there was no reason to be concerned about the chemistry between us and, most importantly, they welcomed me with open arms when I reached the outdoor venue where the film was being shot! We were all excited and in sync with each other from the very 1st day! I'm sure the camaraderie and fun off‑screen will reflect on‑screen, too!' Addressing the film's tone, which balances bold content with wider appeal, Tusshar says, 'Masti 4 is an adult but family comedy and has been written keeping the sensibilities of the wider audience in mind. My job as an actor is to do my job with sincerity and I've stuck to doing that with conviction! Regarding the boldness of it, my director is more concerned than me about the limits of the Masti universe and he'd be best able to explain further!'

Exclusive: Genelia Deshmukh on reuniting with Riteish Deshmukh for Ved 2!

Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh After the success of Ved in 2023, Genelia Deshmukh has confirmed that a sequel is in the works. The Marathi film, directed by her husband Riteish Deshmukh and a remake of the Telugu hit Majili, resonated deeply with audiences. In a conversation with Mirror, Genelia shared, 'Right now, Riteish and I are busy with our individual projects. But as soon as we find time, we'll work on a film together. Ved 2 is definitely on the cards! It might take a year or two, but people keep asking about it, and it has to happen.' Genelia also revealed that Ved was a hit not just with audiences but with their sons Riaan and Rahyl too. 'We've shown them films like Ved and Dhamaal, but they haven't seen Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na yet. Recently, they watched Sitaare Zameen Par. I made a conscious decision to take them because it's a film about inclusion and empathy—it teaches important life lessons. I even took 30 kids along to watch it. The film shows that everyone has their own version of normal. I was proud to be part of it. I've really missed films that speak to kids.' Talking about audiences returning to theatres, Genelia said, 'A good film always finds its audience. People don't avoid theatres, I think sometimes the content is just not engaging enough for them. I look at theatrical films as a great medium because it becomes an outing and a family bonding activity.'
