Defenceman Nicholson now with Flyers
Fife Flyers have confirmed that Canadian defenceman Ryan Nicholson is their latest recruit and the 26-year-old joins the club after a year in Finland where he played for RoKi in the Mestis League.
Nicholson played five seasons in the NCAA for the RIT Tigers where he logged ice time in 161 games and a short spell with the Savannah Ghost Pirates in the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) followed.
Now he's coming to Kirkcaldy and Nicholson said: 'I feel very excited and grateful to be given the opportunity to play for one of the most historic clubs in the UK.
'I hope to be able to find a way to help contribute for the club to find success.'
Jamie Russell, head coach and assistant general manager, commented: 'Ryan is a great defender with a high compete level. He is strong and an elite skater. We will use Ryan in all situations.'
