Man in 'serious' condition and four arrested after collision involving pedestrian shut North Wales pass
A 21-year-old man has suffered serious injuries and four people have been arrested, after a collision on the Horseshoe Pass, Llangollen, on Friday. The road was closed while emergency services worked at the scene . The collision happened following the Olly Murs concert at the Llangollen Pavilion, with heavy traffic in the area. Police have launched an appeal for people with dashcam footage, or witnesses, to come forward. A North Wales Police appeal yesterday (Saturday) said: "Road traffic collision A542, Horseshoe Pass, Llangollen. Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious injury road traffic collision on the A542, Horseshoe Pass, Llangollen at approximately 11pm on Friday the 4th of July 2025. "A 21-year-old man is in a serious condition and being treated in a major trauma centre following the incident last night. Four people have been arrested in relation to the incident and the investigation is underway." Sergeant Daniel Rees from the Roads Crime Unit, added: 'I would like to appeal for witnesses, and to anybody with dash cam footage, who were in the area of the Horseshoe Pass, Llangollen last night. "I know the area was particularly busy with people having left the Olly Murs concert in Llangollen Pavilion and we are keen to speak to anyone who saw an incident involving a pedestrian and a red Vauxhall Corsa. If you have a dash cam and travelled that route after the concert, please provide us with your footage.' 'If anyone has any information relating to this collision, please contact North Wales Police quoting event number 25000551605.'

Four people have been arrested after a 21-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a happened on Horseshoe Pass, Llangollen, Denbighshire, on Friday at about 23:00 Wales Police said the area was "particularly busy" following an Olly Murs concert at nearby Llangollen Pavilion. Crash that closed A55 for hours left biker with serious injuries
A motorcyclist remains in hospital with serious injuries following a one-vehicle crash on the A55 on Friday evening. The collision – involving an Aprilia RS motorcycle, happened just before 5.30pm at Penmaenbach headland, just prior to the tunnel on the eastbound carriageway. It saw the A55 closed between Penmaenmawr and Llandudno Junction. An air ambulance landed on the A55 as part of the emergency response and airlifted the biker to hospital. Police now want to speak to a potential witness who was driving a Mercedes. Sign up for the North Wales Live newsletter sent twice daily to your inbox A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: "The emergency services attended, and the motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital in Stoke, where he remains in a stable condition. "Officers are appealing for any witnesses and are particularly keen to speak to the driver of a grey Mercedes who may have witnessed the collision but did not remain at the scene. "Anybody with information that could assist with the investigation is asked to contact officers at the Roads Crime Unit via the website or by calling 101, quoting reference number 25000507421."
