TORONTO – It's game on at Yankees Old-Timers' Day this year. In honoring the 25th anniversary of their 2000 World Series championship team on Aug. 9, the Yankees are also planning to host the traditional Old-Timers' Day baseball game. Drake Accompanying Morgan Wallen At Houston Show Yields Big Internet Reaction
Drake found himself on the negative side of discourse this weekend, despite not releasing a song or making any cheeky social media posts. The Toronto superstar accompanied Morgan Wallen to the stage for his Houston show, much to the chagrin of the internet. The 32-year-old singer is on the road for his I'm The Problem tour, supporting his LP of the same name, and was amid the second night (Saturday, June 21) of his set of Houston shows. As he walked to the stage, fans viewed a large LED screen that showed Wallen connecting with legendary MLB pitcher Roger Clemens. They were later joined by Drizzy, who exchanged a handshake with the 'I Had Some Help' artist before taking sips from a flask. The country singer uploaded footage of his star-studded walkout to Instagram, with Drake's 'Underground Kings' playing in the background and the caption 'All summer long.' This is the second major linkup between the 6 God and the two-time Grammy nominee. Wallen was his co-star in the 'You Broke My Heart' music video from December 2023, but that link-up did not elicit nearly the backlash that this one did. Hot 97's Peter Rosenberg reacted to Drake and Wallen's linkup on X. 'Come on man .. like what are you doing?! This is ridiculous,' he wrote. This vitriol is, of course, due to footage going viral of Wallen using the N word. In a follow-up tweet, he addressed the split responses he was receiving in his mentions. 'The worst thing about the drake kendrick battle is this new equally aggressive and ignorant drake defender crew on twitter who dont understand context,' Rosenberg said. 'If I have to explain why hanging with [Morgan] Wallen is a bad look at this point in time – there's no convo to be had.' He added another tweet in the thread: 'I am not a drake hater … he is an all time great and i dont think he should be in some box for the rest of his career…f the battle…its over..i just want to see him make the right moves and get back.' Unfortunately for Rosenberg, the same day he made this tweet (June 22), he celebrated introducing Tom Brady as the winner of Fanatics Games at Fanatics Fest. X users quickly pointed out the hypocrisy of this, as the NFL legend had also walked out with Wallen at one of his Las Vegas shows. Of course, Drake and Brady shouldn't be held to the same standard concerning engaging with white men who say the N-word, but the users' point still conveyed a double standard. Baseball Legend Roger Clemens Uses 1 Word To Describe President Trump
Baseball Legend Roger Clemens Uses 1 Word To Describe President Trump originally appeared on The Spun. President Trump recently had some remarks about the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran that really grabbed the attention for baseball legend Roger Clemens. In a now-viral moment at the White House yesterday, President Trump remarked that he was extremely upset at the two countries for still fighting even after his military action last week. He dropped an F-bomb while decrying that the two nations "don't know what the F they're doing." "We have two countries that have been fighting so long that they don't know what the (expletive) they're doing," Trump said. Clemens reposted a clip of him saying that and had just one word to describe the president: "Legend." Clemens' fans in the comments agreed: "When a Legend reposts a legends post of a Legend. You hit 3 squared territory. Now that's 3-D chess," one user replied. "Legends recognize legends," wrote another. "I voted for that F-Bomb," a third declared. "This is as real as it gets.. I love this man more and more every day..." "He made more sense of the situation than anyone with that statement." Roger Clemens has long been a supporter of President Trump. He's been an active member of the Republican Party for decades and has donated his own money to supporting their political causes through the years. Just a few months ago he visited Trump at the White House. The President is clearly very fond of him. As a player, Clemens was a two-time World Series champion and an 11-time All-Star during a career spanning nearly a quarter-century. He was voted to the MLB All-Century Team and is a member of the Boston Red Sox Hall of Fame. However, Cooperstown has never come calling for Clemens, likely due to him being implicated in the steroid scandals of the 2000s. He is the only eligible member of baseball's esteemed 300-win club that never got Legend Roger Clemens Uses 1 Word To Describe President Trump first appeared on The Spun on Jun 25, 2025 This story was originally reported by The Spun on Jun 25, 2025, where it first appeared.

Twins pitcher trolls Kody Clemens with callback to dad's broken bat incident
Give Minnesota Twins pitcher Joe Ryan a ton of credit. He sure knows his baseball history. On Friday, as the Minnesota Twins faced the Milwaukee Brewers, the starter perfectly trolled his teammate Kody Clemens with a perfect callback to one of his father's most infamous moments: The broken bat toss at Mike Piazza in Game 2 of the 2000 World Series. Advertisement Ryan would've been four years old when Roger Clemens lost his cool. But the moment was clearly fresh in Ryan's mind Friday when Christian Yelich's splintered bat landed right in front of the mound. Ryan grabbed the bat and pretended to toss it at Yelich as Kody Clemens looked on from the infield. We can only assume Ryan has been waiting for this opportunity since Minnesota added Clemens back in April. If it just came into Ryan's mind in the moment, then more power to him. That should make for fun clubhouse fodder — at least, it will be until Roger shows up.
