Lee man arrested after shooting at parked car

A Lee man has been arrested and charged after he allegedly opened fire at another driver, according to the Rome Police Department. At around 6:12 on n June 14, the Rome Police Department received a call for shots fired at 216 Erie Boulevard East in Rome. Upon arrival, police spoke with witnesses who said that two vehicles were involved and left the scene prior to their arrival. After interviewing witnesses and reviewing video surveillance, it was determined that one of the involved vehicles was parked in the parking lot occupied by one man. Shortly thereafter, the second involved vehicle entered the parking lot. The second vehicle pulls in front of the parked vehicle, a man exits the vehicle, and begins shooting towards the parked vehicle as the driver attempts to retreat, police said. Following an investigation into the incident by the patrol division and the detective division, both involved vehicles and subjects were identified. Although the victim's vehicle sustained damage, no one was injured as a result of the incident.
