Defendant says he says he never intended to hurt anyone as family of victim say they don't want him jailed Kerryman A Lixnaw man who caused catastrophic injuries to a man he pushed while working as a security guard at University Hospital Kerry, has asked the victim's family for forgiveness. Sean Óg Geary avoided jail at Tralee Circuit Court last week after Judge Ronan Munro said he had been put in a situation at work by being asked to keep the man out of the hospital and never intended to hurt anyone.

Kerry man had 'damning' photos which showed connection to sale of drugs, court hears
Kerryman A Tralee man, who pleaded guilty to the sale and supply of drugs has avoided jail, after Judge Ronan Munro said he would suspend a three-year jail sentence in its entirety. While he said it was a serious incident as the defendant was running a 'cottage industry' not just holding drugs, Judge Munro said he had pleaded guilty immediately and made admissions to gardaí at the scene when they raided the house.
