Advertisement Due to his early on-field success, Josh Roth and Jacob Ramos of Rothcards bought a rare 1-of-1 2024 Daniels Panini Prizm card for roughly $300,000 which they showed off at this year's Fanatics Fest. And it caught the attention of Commanders owner Josh Harris. Per The Athletic, Harris asked Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin who in attendance had the rarest Jayden Daniels, and when Roth and Ramos came forward he two sides quickly negotiated a deal worth half a million dollars (even though they were asked for four times that). "It was such an experience to be on stage with just everyone. It really happened so fast," Ramos told the publication. "Moments like that are timeless." Of course $500,000 is light work for a man who purchased his NFL team for a record $6.05 billion in 2023. For all the collectors out there, the card was a Panini Black Prizm Finite that was graded at a 9.5 out of 10. Harris made the deal with the card's original owner with Daniels in attendance. The fan also was gifted a signed jersey in the exchange. According to Fanatics Collect, the card is officially the most expensive Jayden Daniels card ever sold. The card was originally found by Joey Carrion, the owner of a sports card store in New York. He reportedly pulled the card in a box that costed $36. Advertisement Serena Williams' husband and founder of Reddit - and long-time Commanders fan - had put a bounty on the card worth $200K, but it was sold to Florida-based store Rothcards, who then sold it to Harris on Sunday. Just like any investment, Daniels' performance will continue to shoot the price for the rare card through the roof. Offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury can't say enough good things about the new cornerstone of the Commanders franchise. He's excited to watch Daniels' develop even more this season. "You can see the comfort level was there this year," Kingsbury said earlier this offseason. "I mean, just watching him move around, he's not thinking as much, he's playing fast and letting his natural gifts kind of take over, and that's what we want to see. And over the weekend, one of his biggest supporters spent half a million dollars to have a keepsake of the special season. During last weekend's Fanatics Fest, Commanders principal owner Josh Harris bought Daniels' rookie card for $500,000. It is the most money ever spent on a Daniels football card, according to ESPN. The card, a 1-of-1 numbered Black Finite Prizm card, was worth at least $200,000 before it even initially was discovered in a pack. Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, who is also married to tennis star Serena Williams, had offered a bounty of $200,000 to whoever found the card. Multiple outlets reported that Harris plans to display the unique card at Northwest Stadium, the home of the Commanders. In 2024, Daniels threw for 3,568 yards with 25 touchdowns and nine interceptions and a 69% completion rate. He led Washington to a 12-5 record during the regular season and took them to the NFC championship game before losing to the eventual Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.
