In the message on Facebook, the Delmar Diner said its last day in business will be July 29, 2025. Here's what the owners had to say in their message on Facebook: To Our Valued Customers and Friends, It is with heavy hearts that we announce the closing of our business as of Sunday, June 29th. Despite our team's hard work and the loyal support of so many wonderful customers, we've had to make the difficult decision to close our doors due to challenges in sustaining the business. We want to sincerely thank everyone who has supported us over the years — our regulars who felt like family, and our dedicated staff who gave their all every single day. Woman dies after being hit on Route 13 near New Castle

A 50-year-old Maryland woman died after being hit by a car near New Castle on the night of June 25, Delaware State Police said. Troopers were called to Route 13 near Third Avenue just after 10:30 p.m. for reports of the crash. There, they found the woman dead. Police determined the woman was in the left lane of Route 13, just north of a pedestrian crosswalk, when a 20-year-old woman from New Castle who was driving a Nissan Altima hit her. Police said the 50-year-old "was not wearing reflective clothing or carrying a light." The woman, from Annapolis, will be identified once family is notified. Man in wheelchair seriously injured after collision with bus

A man in a wheelchair has been seriously injured following a collision with a bus in Napier this afternoon. Emergency services were alerted following reports of a crash involving a GoBay bus on Lee Rd, in Taradale, around 2.30pm, a police spokesperson told 1News. Go Bus, the operator, said a manager was sent to the site as soon as it was alerted to the incident and the injured man was taken to hospital. In a statement this afternoon, the chairman of the Hawke's Bay Regional Transport Committee, Martin Williams, called the incident deeply distressing. "The wheelchair occupant is understood to have potentially serious injuries. 'Our thoughts, sympathy and prayers are with the individual who was injured, their whānau, and all those impacted by this incident. We understand the impact this has had on the community and especially on those who witnessed it,' Williams said. ADVERTISEMENT 'We are also providing support to the bus driver alongside Go Bus who is understandably shaken. This is a traumatic situation, and our priority is the wellbeing of all parties directly affected as investigations continue. 'We are working closely with the relevant agencies to understand what happened and to ensure every step is taken to prevent anything like this in the future. This is the very last thing we want to see happen in our public transport services.' GoBay Route 13 (Napier-Tamatea-Taradale route) buses were temporarily suspended but have since resumed. Young child injured in Auckland car crash A young child has been seriously injured after being struck by a car in Auckland's Henderson this afternoon. Emergency services were called to Newington Rd around 3pm. The child has been taken to hospital with a broken leg and foot injuries, police said. A section of Newington Rd between Great North Rd and Keruru Rd was closed and motorists advised to expect delays. Traffic management was at the scene and traffic was being diverted.

Press Release – Hawkes Bay Regional Council Go Bus, the operator, has its manager on-site now to operationally manage the incident. Regional Council manages the bus service in Hawke's Bay. There was a serious accident shortly after 2 p.m. this afternoon between a GoBay bus operating Route 13, on Lee Road in Taradale, and the occupant of a wheelchair. Emergency services are present and the injuries are serious. Go Bus, the operator, has it's manager on-site now to operationally manage the incident. Regional Council manages the bus service in Hawke's Bay. Route 13 buses are suspended at the moment as a result, and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience. We will update with more information as it comes to hand.
