Prince Al Waleed bin Khaled bin Talal Al Saud, the eldest son of Prince Khaled bin Talal Al Saud, passed away on Saturday at the age of 36. He was tragically nicknamed the "Sleeping Prince" after spending more than two decades in a coma, following a terrible accident at the age of 15, when he was studying as a military cadet in London. He suffered severe brain injuries and internal bleeding in the accident, and despite urgent medical care, he never regained full consciousness. He was hospitalised at King Abdulaziz Medical City and was kept on a ventilator until his death. Announcing the devastating news of his passing, his father, Prince Khaled bin Talal Al Saud, said: "With hearts believing in Allah will and decree, and with deep sorrow and sadness, we mourn our beloved son: Prince Al-Waleed bin Khaled bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may Allah have mercy on him, who passed away today." Prince Al Waleed's family never gave up hope that he would one day recover, so they ignored doctors' advice and kept him alive on life support. Their decision was rooted in their religious beliefs, as Prince Khaled previously explained, according to the Economic Times: "If God had wanted him to die in the accident, he would have been in his grave now." His mother also said that she still sensed her son's spirit while he was in a coma for two decades. The prince's family found fresh hope in 2019 when he moved his fingers and head. According to Roya News, Prince Al-Waleed "showed signs of limited awareness through small gestures, such as lifting a finger or slightly moving his head—though these moments did not indicate a return to full consciousness". This was said to be his last known movement. The young royal needed continuous mechanical breathing assistance during his time in hospital and never regained complete awareness or consciousness. He remained in ciritical condition until he died. Although Prince Al-Waleed was locked in a deep coma, his family made sure his hospital room was decorated for important events like Ramadan, Eid or Saudi National Day. During a hospital visit alongside his sons Saud and Mohammed, Prince Al-Waleed's younger brothers, Prince Khaled asked for prayers that he might recover and wake up from his coma. His hospital room was often frequented by visitors offering prayers and support. Funeral prayers for the prince will be held on Sunday at Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh. After Prince Khaled's announcement on X, many people shared their condolences.

Two Palestinians killed, dozens injured in West Bank Sinjil settler assaults
Two Palestinians were found dead Friday after violent attacks by 'Israeli' settlers in the village of Sinjel, north of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, amid escalating tensions in the area. According to a correspondent for Roya News, the bodies of the two victims, including Muhammad Shalabi from the nearby village of Al-Mazra'a Al-Sharqiya, were discovered hours after they went missing during the brutal assaults by settlers. Local sources reported that both victims suffered severe beatings across their bodies. Muhammad Shalabi was one of the two Palestinians who died as a result of these attacks, which are intensifying the suffering of local residents. In addition to the fatalities, around 40 others were injured during the settler assaults on Sinjel, with many victims receiving treatment for head wounds and other injuries. Palestinian Red Crescent teams reported difficulties reaching some of the wounded, as settler groups blocked medical crews from accessing young men trapped in the nearby forests. The 'Israeli' army announced the deployment of two additional battalions to the West Bank in response to the rising violence. In response, Hamas condemned the settler attacks on Sinjel as a 'criminal assault,' viewing it as confirmation of the Israeli Occupation's ongoing policy of dispossession and aggression against Palestinians. The movement called on Palestinians across the West Bank to rise up in protest and defend their communities against further settler violence. The day also saw a spike in settler and 'Israeli' army attacks in several other West Bank areas, including the village of Al-Minya east of Bethlehem. There, settlers, backed by Israeli forces, assaulted residents and fired tear gas, causing dozens of cases of suffocation, including among women and children. Medical sources reported a three-year-old girl sustained a head injury from a direct settler attack. In Masafir Yatta, south of Hebron, settlers attacked Palestinian homes and assaulted residents, resulting in injuries to two young men who were taken for medical treatment, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent. The surge in settler violence and military operations raises concerns among human rights groups about deteriorating security conditions and the increasing vulnerability of Palestinian civilians across the occupied territories.

How many Amman flights were cancelled? Official numbers revealed
Airport International Group (AIG) told Roya News that dozens of flights to and from Queen Alia International Airport were canceled on Sunday, amid ongoing regional tensions following escalating military conflict between the Israeli Occupation and Iran, raising growing concerns over air travel across the region. According to the group, 34 arrivals and 30 departures were canceled on Sunday, despite the Jordan Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission announcing earlier in the day that the country's airspace had reopened to civilian flights following a comprehensive security risk assessment. However, operations did resume, with 44 arrivals and 57 departures recorded between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM on Sunday. For Saturday, between 8:00 AM and 11:59 PM, 84 arrivals and 77 departures were canceled, while 52 arrivals and 60 departures were successfully operated.
