Harry 'makes dig at royals' and vows he and Meghan will 'live our life by truth'
The royal reflected on his journey from being born into a life of service to discovering his own purpose and transitioning from having to serve to wanting to Prince Harry appeared to make a barbed dig at the Royal Family during a surprise appearance in New York. The remarks came during an on-stage chat at the NEXUS Global Summit, where he addressed an audience of 350 potential philanthropists and investors, on Friday. Harry reflected on his personal journey from being born into a life of service to discovering his own purpose and about transitioning from having to serve to wanting to serve. And he also emphasised that the Archewell Foundation, which he established with his wife Meghan, 43, in 2020, operates on principles of "compassionate leadership" and dedication to "something greater than ourselves". Harry, 40, said: "The thing that gives me the most hope is the grassroots approach. Many of you here today are connected and involved with so many community solutions, because it's what energises all of you, and that service part is really what energises me as well." In 2021, after the couple stepped back from royal life, the Queen confirmed they would not 'continue with the responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service'. In a response at the time, Harry and Meghan issued a terse statement saying: 'We can all live a life of service. Service is universal.' During his latest comments, Harry also urged attendees to "take care of each other and our children in the future" and to "tackle the systems instead of the symptoms keeping us down." And he encouraged the audience to consider their desired legacies and align their investments with that vision, while also using their platforms to foster meaningful collaboration and change. He added: 'As the world gets harder, as people's lives become harder, compassion can shrink. My wife said to me very early on in our relationship 'if you live your life by truth, it's the most efficient way to live. We will continue to live our life by truth and we will continue to stand up for what we believe in - the difference between right and wrong." Speaking to Rachel Gerrol, co-founder and CEO of NEXUS Global, Harry spoke about the thinking behind campaigning for online safety. He said: "It wasn't something that was sexy, it wasn't something that we were necessarily passionate about. "But it became very clear to us very quickly, speaking to a lot of experts, that for all the work we are collectively doing, and all the progress we are achieving - if the digital world is not done responsibly, it's going to turn back that progress. And we can see that with climate change.' He added: "We started to meet a lot of parents who had lost their kids to social media - the majority through suicide - and that's when it really started to make sense to us. "One of the reasons why the digital world was so important to us is because my wife, in 2018, was the most trolled person in the world. There was a lived experience, but at no point did we suddenly think 'OK, well, let's take this industry on'."

Despite living 5,462 miles apart, Prince William has been dogged by his brother ever since Megxit and a recent visit to meet south coast students was no different, MailOnline can reveal today. The Prince of Wales waved and was cheered wildly as he left Bournemouth and Poole College where the crowd left him in no doubt where they stood on the row between the rival brothers. A new video has emerged online and reveals that one rowdy student took his support for William too far - launching into an expletive-filled rant aimed at Prince Harry that his older brother probably heard through his open car window. The unnamed heckler can be heard yelling: 'Go on Will. I never liked Harry, the ginger f***'. Shocked people around him can be heard taking a sharp intake of breath, one spectator was visibly agog and a male voice, likely to be a teacher, said loudly: 'Don't you dare talk like that. Go inside. That's not on'. One woman said angrily to the sweary-student: 'Oi. Get in there now'. A third voice says: 'That is diabolical' as the convoy containing the future king sweeps away into the Dorset sunshine. William's visit was in the spring but has only just emerged on social media. The abuse aimed at Harry came at a time when he resigned 'in shock' from Sentebale, the African charity he founded in 2006 in memory of his mother Princess Diana. The student called Harry a 'f***' during a trip to Dorset by the Prince of Wales in March where he made a young royal fan's day after he gave her a warm hug. William, 43, embraced young Natasha Gorry as he visited Bournemouth and Poole College - just before the swearing about Harry. He was on his trip to the south of England, where was launching a new partnership between the Homewards programme, which he founded through the Royal Foundation, and Lloyds Banking Group, which aims to deliver homes in the region. Meeting Natasha Gorry, 24, outside the College, the Prince of Wales chatted to the royal fan who appeared starstruck. The future King then reached out to embrace Natasha, after which she seemed overwhelmed with joy. 'Go on, give me a hug. So nice to see you but you've got some lessons to go to now. I'm going to get you in trouble for keeping you out of your lessons now. You've got a free period now? When's lunch break? You've brought the sun out today, it's lovely,' he said. She said afterwards: 'I am so happy. He gave me a hug. I love it. I'm excited. It's my first time. I told him what course I was doing. He's an amazing guy.' William also met people who have experienced homelessness after suffering from mental health struggles. There, he joined CEO of Lloyds Banking Group Charlie Nunn who showed him around the 11-bed housing scheme. He also met with current residents supported by the organisation, who are being encouraged to develop skills that will help them live independently in safe and healthy spaces. Lloyds has pumped £50million into the project, which will go towards small and medium-sized housing providers and charities in areas where Homewards operates. William's solo visit came just a few days after he and the Princess of Wales embarked upon their first joint engagement in over a year after her cancer battle as they visited Pontypridd in Wales in early St David's Day celebrations.

However at the end of the get together, Harry revealed that Meghan asked a telling question about his uncle, - and even thought he might not be a relative. Explaining how the Queen got up to leave after her chat with Meghan, Harry wrote: "My uncle Andrew, seated beside her, holding her handbag, began to escort her out. "After a moment Meg asked me something about the Queen's assistant. I asked who she was talking about." When she replied "the man who walked her to the door," the penny dropped for the prince who realised she had meant the Queen's second son. Andrew no longer takes part in public life following a car crash interview on BBC Newsnight about his connections to paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. He was also later stripped of his military affiliations and royal patronages with the approval of his mother, the late Queen. Andrew is now locked in a bitter dispute with his brother, King Charles, over him continuing to live at the 30 room mansion Royal Lodge in the shadow of Windsor Castle, despite major repairs being needed on the property. The King even offered Andrew, who was forced to step back from all royal duties, the chance to move into the four bedroom Frogmore Cottage, previously owned by Prince Harry and his wife Meghan that would be more manageable. But the disgraced Duke has insisted on staying put, claiming he will be able to pay the estimated £2million renovation fees desperately needed. Royal sources suggest the so-called 'Siege of Royal Lodge' has led to a drastic state of relations between the King and Andrew. Andrew has told close friends he is 'going nowhere' and told the King and the Crown Estate who own Royal Lodge, that he has a 'cast iron lease' that he signed for 75 years in 2002.
