Gold prices rise in Pakistan following international market gains

The rate for 10 grams of gold also went up, selling at Rs309,671 after a gain of Rs3,087. On Friday, gold prices per tola had reached Rs357,600, rising by Rs2,500. The bullion market was closed on Saturday due to a traders' strike against tax laws. Internationally, gold prices also increased, reaching $3,387 per ounce with a $20 premium—a gain of $36, according to APGJSA. Meanwhile, silver prices remained stable, with the rate per tola holding steady at Rs4,012.

Gold prices in Pakistan increased on Friday in line with their gain in the international market. In the local market, gold price per tola reached Rs357,600 after a gain of Rs2,500 during the day. As per the rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), 10-gram gold was sold at Rs306,584 after it accumulated Rs2,143. On Thursday, gold price per tola reached Rs355,100 after a loss of Rs900 during the day. The international rate of gold also increased on Friday. The rate was at $3,351 per ounce (with a premium of $20), a gain of $25, as per APGJSA. Meanwhile, silver price per tola increased by Rs48 to reach Rs4,012.

Gold, silver prices rise
KARACHI: Gold and silver rallied on Friday on Pakistani markets, tracking a global increase in both commodities, traders said. The world market for gold bullion soared strongly by $21, settling at $3,345 per ounce while silver moved up to $38 per ounce, All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association said. As a result, gold prices in Pakistani market mounted significantly by Rs2,300 and Rs1,971, reaching Rs357,000 per tola and Rs306,069 per 10 grams, respectively, the Jewellers Association added. The domestic silver market saw an uptick, rising by Rs86 and Rs74 to reach Rs 3,937 per tola and Rs 3,375 per 10 grams, respectively, it added. It is important to note that gold and silver prices in the open market may vary from the official rates set by the association, reflecting differences in supply, demand, and market sentiment. Gold prices in Pakistan declined on Friday in line with their decrease in the international market. In the local market, gold price per tola reached Rs355,500 after a loss of Rs1,500 during the day. On Tuesday, gold price per tola Rs357,000 after a gain of Rs800 during the day. The international rate of gold decreased on Friday. The rate was at $3,335 per ounce (with a premium of $20), a loss of $15, as per APGJSA. Meanwhile, silver price per tola remained unchanged at Rs3,871.
