She confirmed that she has not had any conversations with the company about a comeback. The former WWE star, known as Paige, parted ways with AEW in March. This has led to rumors that she could appear at the upcoming all-women's Evolution 2 event. Saraya Denies WWE Return Rumors In an interview with the Orlando Sentinel, Saraya was direct about her status. "I haven't had a conversation with them," she said. "I love the WWE, but no." She acknowledged that fans often tag her in posts about potential mystery returns. However, she is currently taking a break from the wrestling industry. "It feels good to take a little break from wrestling," Saraya stated. "All 32 years of my life has been wrestling, so I just want to find myself a little bit outside it." For now, she is focused on other projects. "Next year, maybe come back," she said. She recently published her memoir, "Hell in Boots," in March. She has also launched a new podcast called "Rulebreakers." Paige was a trailblazer in WWE's women's division, first making history as the inaugural NXT Women's Champion in 2013. Her main roster debut on Raw after WrestleMania 30 is legendary; she defeated AJ Lee to win the Divas Championship on her first night, becoming the youngest Divas Champion ever at 21. A two-time Divas Champion, she was the only woman to hold both the NXT and Divas titles simultaneously. She was a central figure in the "Divas Revolution" before a severe neck injury forced her to retire from in-ring competition in 2018. After her retirement, she remained with WWE in non-wrestling roles, including a popular run as the General Manager of SmackDown and as manager for the Kabuki Warriors, before her eventual departure from the company in 2022. She would be a welcome addition to the women's division should she return to WWE, whether that be as a wrestler or manager. She has plenty of things to offer. No, the fans wait to see what happens. AEW once tried spicing up Saraya's character — But she drew the line!
Saraya once turned down a storyline pitched by AEW that attempted to spice things up for her character. Saraya has emerged as one of the top pioneers of women's wrestling over the years. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now She has been a part of many memorable matches and storylines in both and AEW. However, there was a time when All Elite Wrestling pitched a completely different storyline to her that she had never experienced. Despite being a completely new scenario and possibly would have intrigued the fanbase, the Anti-Diva turned it down. But she had her own reasons for doing so, which can be seen as valid. Which storyline idea did Saraya turn down that AEW pitched? In the recent edition of her Rulebreakers podcast, Saraya revealed that AEW wanted her to do a romantic storyline with Daddy Magic. This was the first time a love storyline was pitched to her in her wrestling career. Moreover, AEW wanted them to do kissing scenes and presented it as an authentic romance angle. However, the former WWE Divas Champion had a boyfriend at the time. That made her feel that doing a love angle on live television was inappropriate for her, and she was not comfortable doing so. Therefore, she rejected the storyline and it was the first time she turned an idea pitched to her in her wrestling career. Saraya said, "Oh yeah, AEW. So, there's a wrestler called Daddy Magic. They wanted me to do a love storyline with him. And I've managed to go my whole career without doing a love storyline. I wasn't going to start now, you know? And they were like, 'No, all he's going to do is kiss you.' I had a boyfriend at the time and I was just like, I can't do it, you guys. I just can't do it. So I turned that down. There's not really any other storyline I've turned down. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now It's just that if I have to kiss someone and I have a boyfriend, I don't think it's appropriate."
