Bruce Willis's daughter Tallulah fires back at criticism of her post with her dementia-suffering father
Bruce Willis 's daughter Tallulah has reacted to criticism she received for sharing photos of her father amid his dementia decline. The 31-year-old fashion designer posted several snaps of her spending time with her father, 70, on Instagram on Sunday. One of the most intimate snaps showed Tallulah lovingly embracing Bruce who sweetly had his arms wrapped around her. Another photo showed Bruce and Tallulah sharing a laugh together as she sat on the floor while holding onto the star's hand as he sat in a chair. While many fans were touched by the images, some slammed Tallulah's post as being invasive in light of Bruce's condition. One person wrote: 'I don't think you should expose your dad to the public! He is vulnerable ! And some things should be kept private! You don't have his permission to post it!' The mean-spirited comment prompted a response from the actress which read: 'Hi. I hear that. As a family we use our discretion when posting. Today was a great day filled with smiles. I made the judgement call to show that to the world, because I know what he means to everyone.' The controversial album included a cute snap of Bruce posing with Tallulah's fiance Justin Acee who had a massive smile on his face. She shared the gallery of personal photos with the caption: 'Sunday funday at Grams! Grateful [turtle dove emoji]' The post comes as Tallulah's older sister Rumer gave a sad update on their famous father in a Father's Day tribute post. The actress candidly wrote: 'Today is hard, I feel a deep ache in my chest to talk to you and tell you everything I'm doing and what's going on in my life. To hug you and ask you about life and your stories and struggles and successes.' The star seemed to be making the heartbreaking admission that Bruce was having trouble with his speech and memory. Rumer continued: 'I wish I asked you more questions while you could still tell me about it all. 'But I know you wouldn't want me to be sad today so I'll try to just be grateful reminding myself how lucky I am that you're my dad and that you're still with me and I can still hold you and hug you and kiss your cheek and rub your head I can tell you stories.' She also shared a sweet snap of Bruce with her two-year-old daughter Louetta as she reflected on their bond. Rumer continued: 'I can watch the way your eyes light up when you see Louetta I will be grateful for every moment I have with you. I love you so much dad happy Father's Day. 'Sending love to all those who are in the boat with me or have lost their fathers, to the single moms who are the dads too, to my future baby daddy… [ red heart emoji]' Rumer was not the only one who got candid about Bruce's health condition on the holiday as his wife Emma Heming shared an emotional Father's Day post. On Sunday morning, the 46-year-old actress, who has daughters Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10, with Bruce paid tribute to her longtime spouse on Instagram. Under a sweet snap of Bruce with one of their daughters, she wrote: 'Happy Father's Day to all the dads living with disability or disease, showing up in the ways they can and to the children who show up for them. 'What Bruce teaches our girls goes far beyond words. Resilience, unconditional love, and the quiet strength in simply being present. This photo says so much. Love deepens. It adapts. It stays, even when everything else changes.' Despite this, the mother-of-two admitted that 'these symbolic days stir up a lot' of emotion for her. She added: 'I'm profoundly sad today. I wish, with every cell in my body, that things could be different for him and lighter for our family. As they say in our FTD community, 'It is what it is.'' Emma continued: 'And while that might sound dismissive, to me, it's not. It grounds me. It helps me return to the acceptance of what is and not fight this every step of the way like I used to. 'Today, let's celebrate the bada** dads, those who are here, and those we carry with us. Onward.' On her Instagram Story, Emma shared throwback photos of her husband taking their kids to the park and the Natural History Museum. She wrote: 'I miss and mourn what was. I want it all back.' Last month, Emma was honored by Maria Shriver's Women's Alzheimer's Movement (WAM) at Cleveland Clinic. She received the organization's Caregiving Award for her 'outstanding work in advocating for unpaid family caregivers.' While accepting the honor she reflected on 'the day Bruce got his diagnosis' and how they 'left the doctor's office with a pamphlet and a hollow goodbye.' Emma continued: 'No plan, no guidance, no hope, just shock. The future we imagined simply vanished, and I was left trying to hold my family together, raise our two young daughters, and care for the man I love while navigating a disease I barely understood.' Emma continued: 'I needed someone to look me in the eye and say, "This feels impossible right now, but you will find your footing. You will survive this and you will grow because of it." 'There's no roadmap or guide to becoming a caregiver. We desperately need more education and support resources for those in this 24/7/365 role.' Since publicly announcing her husband's diagnosis in February 2023, Emma has worked tirelessly to share information with others navigating a similar journey. In addition to Mabel and Evelyn, Bruce has three daughters - Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 31 - with his ex-wife Demi Moore. Rumer sweetly shared her stepmother's post on her Instagram Story to show her support. The Willis family have remained extremely tight knit despite Demi and Bruce's divorce in 2000 after 13 years of marriage. They celebrate holidays together, along with Emma, and they have rallied around the actor amid his tragic health battle. Since his diagnosis of frontotemporal aphasia in 2022 Bruce has stepped away from public life. The condition has since progressed and the family announced that he was suffering from frontotemporal dementia in 2023.

Bruce Willis' daughter captures precious moments with her father as family navigates his dementia diagnosis
Bruce Willis' daughter, Tallulah, enjoyed some quality time with her father this weekend. Tallulah, 31, shared a carousel of images on social media after visiting with the "Die Hard" actor on Sunday. Bruce, 70, was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in February 2023, shortly after he received an aphasia diagnosis the year before. "Sunday funday at Grams ! Grateful," Tallulah captioned the post shared with her Instagram followers. In one image, Bruce and his youngest daughter shared a sweet embrace. In another photo, Tallulah laughed while holding on to her dad's hand. Tallulah's fiancé, musician Justin Acee, wrapped his arm over Bruce's shoulder as they laughed for a snap. Last week, Bruce's oldest daughter, Rumer Willis, offered more insight into her dad's journey with FTD in a Father's Day tribute to the "Pulp Fiction" actor. "Today is hard, I feel a deep ache in my chest to talk to you and tell you everything I'm doing and what's going on in my life," Rumer captioned an Instagram post. "To hug you and ask you about life and your stories and struggles and successes. I wish I asked you more questions while you could still tell me about it all. "But I know you wouldn't want me to be sad today so I'll try to just be grateful reminding myself how lucky I am that you're my dad and that you're still with me and I can still hold you and hug you and kiss your cheek and rub your head I can tell you stories. I can watch the way your eyes light up when you see Louetta I will be grateful for every moment I have with you." She added, "I love you so much dad happy Father's Day. Sending love to all those who are in the boat with me or have lost their fathers, to the single moms who are the dads too, to my future baby daddy… " FTD is "the result of damage to neurons in the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain," according to the National Institute on Aging. "Many possible symptoms can result, including unusual behaviors, emotional problems, trouble communicating, difficulty with work, or difficulty with walking." Bruce married Emma Heming at their home in Turks and Caicos in March 2009, and they have two daughters, Mabel and Evelyn. The actor was previously married to Demi Moore for 12 years, and the friendly exes have three daughters together: Rumer, Scout and Tallulah. While speaking at the Women's Alzheimer's Movement Forum in Las Vegas last month, the mom of two opened up about the isolating moment that inspired her upcoming book, "The Unexpected Journey." "On the day Bruce got his diagnosis, we left the doctor's office with a pamphlet and a hollow goodbye. No plan, no guidance, no hope, just shock," Heming told the crowd during the forum, per People. "The future we imagined simply vanished, and I was left trying to hold my family together, raise our two young daughters, and care for the man I love while navigating a disease I barely understood." The author will release her book this September. "The book is the roadmap I wish someone had handed me on the day in 2022," she said. "I wrote it for other caregivers who are desperate for answers, aching for support, and wanting to be seen and wondering how they're going to make it through."
