Japan Open: Soon Huat-Shevon Among Three M'sian Pairs Through To Second Round
KUALA LUMPUR, July 16 (Bernama) -- Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai are among three Malaysian mixed doubles pairs who cleared the first round of the 2025 Japan Open Badminton Championships in Tokyo today. The husband-and-wife pair convincingly beat Ruttanapak Oupthong-Jhenicha Sudjaipraparat of Thailand 21-15, 21-10 in just 30 minutes. They will meet Denmark's Mads Vestergaard-Christine Busch in the second round tomorrow.

Three mixed pairs advance into second round in Japan Open
PETALING JAYA: Malaysia's mixed doubles shuttlers are off to a promising start as three pairs power their way into the second round of the Japan Open on Wednesday (May 16). Leading the charge at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium were sixth seeds Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai Jemie. The duo were in fine form, easily dispatching Thailand's Ruttanapak Oupthong-Jhenicha Sudjaipraparat 21-15, 21-10.
