Rajiv Gandhi University inks three pacts to improve student employability
The Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Andhra Pradesh, is collaborating with industry and philanthropic organisations to enhance industry-academia partnership, improve student employability and to empower girl students in technical education. The University Registrar S. Amarendra Kumar signed three Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) in the presence of the Chancellor, RGUKT, and Chairman of AP State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) K. Madhu Murthy on Thursday (June 26). The partnership deals have been signed with Ceremorphic Inc., an AI-based industry that will offer employment opportunities to RGKUT students and extend support in establishing a Centre for VLSI Design, Wadhwani Foundation, for skill development network. Wadhwani Foundation will support development of employability skills among students through its AI-powered learning platforms, facilitated by Wadhwani-trained faculty mentors. Another MoU is with Sadisha Foundation, to empower girl students in higher education. The Foundation will provide coaching in GATE exam preparation to 100 selected girl students from the four campuses of the University in the State. The training will be given in collaboration with GoClasses and ExamPrep Tool, two reputed GATE coaching partners. Senior vice-president, Ceremorphic Chandrasekhar Abburi, executive vice-president of Wadhwani Foundation Sunil Dahiya and Chaitanya Reddy from Sadisha Foundation were present on the occasion.

RGUKT IIIT students celebrate International Yoga Day
Students of Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT) IIIT in Nuzvid celebrated the 11th International Yoga Day by performing yoga on the lawns of the institute, here on Saturday. Nuzvid IIIT Director S. Amarendra Kumar, who practised yoga along with the faculty and the students, asked all to do 'yogasanas' for an hour every day. The 17th Andhra Battalion NCC, Vijayawada, performed yoga with a slogan 'Yoga for One Earth, One Health', at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Smrithi Maidan, in Vijayawada. Nearly 1,200 cadets of various institutes, NCC officers, instructors performed various yogasanas in the Smrithi Maidan, said Commanding Officer, Lt. Col. G.C. Pandey. Officers of South Central Railway (SCR), Vijayawada division, celebrated the International Yoga Day, and practised yogasanas at Railway Function Hall. Additional Divisional Railway Manager P.E. Edwin, Srinivas Rao Konda, Divisional Personnel Officer Rasana Devi and other officers felicitated yoga instructors, Velaga Swathi and Velugubanti Saatvika on the occasion. International Yoga Day was celebrated at more than 20 places in SCR Vijayawada division, in which many railway employees participated, the SCR officials said.
