Law enforcement searching for Colleton County homicide suspect
COLLETON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Local authorities are searching for a man believed to have shot and killed another individual during an argument in Walterboro Thursday. Colleton County deputies received reports of a victim suffering from a gunshot wound that had caused life-threatening injuries. Colleton County Fire-Rescue transported the male victim to a nearby hospital, where he died from his wounds. His identity has not been released. Witnesses told deputies that the victim and the suspect, 40-year-old Clint Crosby, were in a dispute at a home on Dover Bluff Lane in Walterboro, which escalated to the shooting, according to the Colleton County Sheriff's Office. Crosby was last seen driving a dark gray Toyota Tacoma with SC Tag #685AMB. Law enforcement says he is considered armed and dangerous. The sheriff's office said he may be in Goose Creek or traveling towards Tennessee or Kentucky. He is facing charges of murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, said Sgt. Laura Rutland, spokesperson for the sheriff's office. Crosby could be in the company of another adult male who witnessed the shooting and is driving a Toyota Prius with SC Tag #UEV809.
