'The Devil Wears Prada 2': Everything We Know - And All Of Anne Hathaway's Outfits So Far
Best break out your favorite cerulean sweater—because The Devil Wears Prada is back. After leading ladies Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt enjoyed an onstage reunion at last year's SAG Awards, fans couldn't help but hope that a follow-up movie might be on the horizon. Now, it's finally happening: After almost 20 years, Disney is giving us a The Devil Wears Prada sequel. Ahead, everything we know about the upcoming film so far. Variety reports that the movie will follow Streep's character, editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly, as she 'navigates her career amid the decline of traditional magazine publishing and faces off against Blunt's character, now a high-powered executive for a luxury group with advertising dollars that Priestly desperately needs.' It's not yet obvious where Hathaway's character, Andy Sachs, will fit into this story—but, rest assured, she'll be there. The main stars will reprise their roles for the sequel, including Hathaway (Andy Sachs), Streep (Miranda Priestly), Blunt (Emily Charlton), and even Stanley Tucci (Nigel Kipling).Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman will also return as Lily and Irv Ravitz, respectively. Newcomers will include Kenneth Branagh (as Miranda's husband), as well as Simone Ashley, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, Pauline Chalamet, Conrad Ricamora, Helen J. Shen, and Caleb Hearon, per Deadline and Variety. Colin from Accounts star Patrick Brammal will be joining as Andy's new love interest, Entertainment Weekly reports. Director David Frankel and writer Aline Brosh McKenna, who worked on the original film, are also returning for the sequel, alongside producer Karen Rosenfelt. As for whom else fans might like to see in the follow-up, Nicholas Galitzine, who stars alongside Hathaway in The Idea of You, recently told ELLE that he'd love to work with Streep and Blunt someday. He added that, should there ever be a sequel, he would want to be a part of it. 'Listen, if Annie's down for it, if they want to do a sequel of The Devil Wears Prada, I'll be someone,' the actor said in our 2024 Hollywood Rising issue. 'I'll be the assistant who runs and gets coffee for everyone.' There haven't been any reports of Galitzine making a cameo in the movie (yet), but a boy can dream. According to an Entertainment Weekly exclusive, Adrian Grenier, who played Andy's boyfriend, Nate, will not be returning for the sequel. The sequel will be released on May 1, 2026, according to Variety. It sure has. On June 30, 2025, 20th Century Studios took to social media to announce that the sequel was officially in production. Then, on July 21, Hathaway shared a cheeky filming update via TikTok. Posting a video of herself brushing her teeth (and wearing—what else?—a cerulean sweater), she captioned the clip, 'Heading to werk #dwp2.' Yes! On July 21, Hathaway also shared a TikTok video of her in character wearing a Gabriela Hearst Spring-Summer 2025 colorful patchwork maxi dress. In an Instagram post, Hathaway showed off another one of Andy's looks, a vintage Jean Paul Gaultier pinstripe suit vest and matching trousers. Then, she was seen in a Toteme tank top, AGOLDE denim maxi skirt, and Chanel Velcro sandals. ELLE Collective is a new community of fashion, beauty and culture lovers. Footage surfaces of Dave Franco, Alison Brie's ‘nasty' public act
Don't miss out on the headlines from Celebrity Life. Followed categories will be added to My News. Alison Brie and Dave Franco might be taking togetherness a step too far. Footage of Brie cutting Franco's toenails while sitting on a picnic blanket in Griffith Park in Los Angeles surfaced on social media on Tuesday — and fans had plenty of thoughts. The Community actress was seen discarding her husband's toenails in the grass, as he scrolled through his phone looking completely unbothered, per Page Six. While some were grossed out, others speculated it might just be promotion for their new horror flick, Together, in which they play a co-dependent couple. 'They're both comedians. They tend to do stuff like this, the cameraman is probably even with them,' one Reddit commenter wrote. 'This is probably staged, and if it's not, the person filming is a lot weirder than they are,' another chimed in. 'This got to be for the new movie cuz why else would they be doing this in public?' a third speculated. Franco and Brie at the SAG Awards in 2018. Picture: Frederick M. 'Yeah that's nasty Alison,' one user reacted via X, while another commented, 'Doing this for a man in private is also wild …' Another user chimed in, 'TMI. Some things don't need to be shared on here man.' Brie, 42, and Franco, 40, have already made waves with the promo for Together, a supernatural horror film they starred in and produced. They've worked together multiple times on films. Picture: Instagram On Monday, Neon Films posted a picture on Instagram of the two intimately kissing in front of a billboard of their characters kissing in the film, encouraging people to take similar photos. 'The perfect couple in 'the perfect date night horror movie,'' the caption reads in part. Brie and Franco have been married since March 2017 and have worked together multiple times. She previously talked about what it was like having her husband direct her sex scenes with Jay Ellis in the movie Somebody I Used to Know. 'I realise that it sounds wild, but we are actors, this is our job,' she told Jezebel. 'It's actually not that weird. And with something like this, because it's our baby that we made together, I think our first priority is always just the movie.' Barbra Streisand's New Album Scores A Lofty — And Coincidental — Debut
Barbra Streisand's The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume II debuts at No. 6 on three U.K. charts, ... More marking her tenth top 10 on the Official Physical Albums chart. Barbra Streisand at the 30th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall on February 24, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Michael Buckner/Variety via Getty Images) Barbra Streisand's recording career has lasted longer than most musical acts can dream of. The multi-talented singer-songwriter, producer, and actor released her first project — the simply-titled The Barbra Streisand Album — in early 1963, more than six decades ago. While she doesn't produce new work as often as she once did, Streisand still occasionally gives her fan base brand new work to enjoy, including her most recent full-length, The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume II. That set arrives on charts all around the world this week, and in the United Kingdom, it brings the superstar back to the top 10 on multiple lists. The Secret of Life Debuts at No. 6 on Three Charts Coincidentally, The Secret of Life launches at No. 6 on three different album rankings in the U.K. The project only reaches five tallies overall, and it's a top 10 win on all but two of them. Streisand's latest enters in sixth place on the Official Albums Sales, Official Album Downloads and the Official Physical Albums charts, all at the same time. Barbra Streisand Scores Her Tenth Top 10 Streisand earns her milestone tenth top 10 hit on the Official Physical Albums chart as The Secret of Life debuts. She has now scored more than twice as many placements inside the loftiest tier on the list of the bestselling EPs and full-lengths on any physical medium than she has on both the Official Albums Sales and Official Album Downloads rankings combined. On those tallies, Streisand earns her fourth and fifth top 10s, respectively. A Top 40 Win Across the Board The Secret of Life is a top 40 win on every U.K. tally, which is quite the accomplishment for a singer who has been releasing music for well over half a century. Streisand launches her latest studio LP at No. 32 on the Official Vinyl Albums chart. As it arrives, she scores just her third-ever win on that format-specific ranking. The same effort — which sees her teaming up with superstars like Hozier, Sam Smith, Mariah Carey, Ariana Grande, and even Bob Dylan — narrowly sneaks into the important tier on the main ranking of the most consumed albums in the U.K., where it begins its time at No. 40.

Award-winning Orange Is The New Black star looks unrecognisable in new show 12 years on from Netflix debut
An award-winning Orange Is The New Black star looks unrecognisable in a new show, 12 years on from her Netflix debut. Julie Lake starred in the hit series as Angie Rice who worked in the prison laundry room. For her talented portrayal in Orange Is The New Black, alongside her co-stars she was awarded an Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series by the Screen Actors Guild Awards in 2015 and 2017. Now, Julie has ditched the prison overalls and ventured into the world of theatre. The actress has secured a role in Forget-Me-Not alongside songwriter Annie Macleod who created the musical with her. The musical, set to be performed at the Edinburgh Fringe in August delves into a true story about motherhood and lost romances. It sees two estrange childhood best friends as they meet again later in life, now as mothers seeking 'more creative freedom, adventure, sexual liberation and a deeper sense of self,' according to the synopsis. Julie announced her new venture on Instagram and posted a photo of the promotional poster. She captioned the upload with: 'Wildflowers present FORGET-ME-NOT at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Aug 1-9th 11:30AM, Fern Theater @ Greenside. 'Be there or be square. Link to tickets in bio.' The star looked worlds away from her Orange Is The New Black days in the post and wore a mustard yellow top and styled her hair in tousled waves with blonde highlights. One fan commented: 'Gorgeous poster! Go go go!! xoxo.' It comes after fans of the Netflix hit shared their shock at realising that none other than Sabrina Carpenter, 25, appeared in the show. Sabrina appeared in the ninth episode of the first series called 'F***sgiving' as youngster Jessica Wedge. One TikTok user shared the scene on her account with the caption: 'Doing my annual Orange Is The New Black ewwatch when I come across young Sabrina Carpenter bullying Alex Vause. Alex Vause (Laura Prepon) has a flash back of a moment from when she was younger after Tiffany Doggett (Taryn Manning) calls her a rich b***h. But she was actually far from it in the flashback scene. Sabrina's alter-ego Jessica laughs at Alex's trainers, telling her: 'Real Adidas have three stripes. Not four. 'Your shoes are bobos.' Alex asks: 'So?' Jessica replies: 'So your mum shops at Payless and works at Friendly's.' 'My mum has like four jobs,' Alex says back. And Jessica tells her: 'That's not something to brag about. You dress like a bum!' One of her friends chimes in: 'She smells like one too!' Alex's mum then arrives to pick her up and Jessica asks: 'Do you guys live in that janky car too?' Bye bye pigsty!' Many rushed to the comments section to share their shock. One asked: 'THAT WAS SABRINA??' 'That's Sabrina?? no way!!!!' 'Oh wow, I never realized that was Sabrina!! crazy!!'
