B-52s, Devo announce tour: Dates, cities, how to get tickets
B-52s, Devo announce tour: Dates, cities, how to get tickets Show Caption Hide Caption Beyoncé concert surprise: Mom stuns daughter with dream tickets Eight-year-old Nalah was stunned when her mom, Brinn Nicole, surprised her with Beyoncé concert tickets in Los Angeles. Two iconic punk bands, hailing from the '70s, are coming together for a limited-run tour this fall. Devo and The B-52s announced their 11-city "Cosmic De-Evolution Tour" on Monday, June 16. Tickets go on sale this week for the tour that starts in late September. The joint tour comes after both bands have performed farewell tours. The B-52s concluded its retirement tour in November 2022 and has had a residency at The Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas, Nevada since. And Devo will finish its "50 Years of De-Evolution" tour in November (after extending the tour last year). "In 2022, I swore I'd never get on a tour bus again," B-52s front man Fred Schneider said in a news release. "But we were careful to say to our fans that we would still perform in special situations that don't require all of the awful tour travel. Our Vegas residency is going great, and when we were offered the chance to do a small run of shows with Devo, we all said this is an extraordinary opportunity we couldn't say no to." The B-52s and Devo, punk bands that emerged during the 1970s, reconvened for "SNL50: The Homecoming Concert" at New York City's Radio City Music Hall in February. It was here that the bands talked about doing one last kick off together. "Believe or not, we've never done more than a festival or two together in all this time," B-52s lyricist Cindy Wilson said in a news release. "This will be amazing and I can't wait for The B-52s to share these stages with Devo." Miley Cyrus Reveals She Suffered From an Ovarian Cyst Rupture During a Live Performance
Miley Cyrus opened up about suffering from an ovarian cyst rupture while hosting her New Year's Eve Party special in 2023. 'I had a pretty traumatic experience on a show that I was doing with Lorne [Michaels] when I was doing my New Year's show,' Cyrus, 32, said during a Wednesday, May 21, interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe. 'I had a medical emergency. I had an ovarian cyst rupture." An ovarian cyst rupture is when a fluid-filled sac on or inside an ovary bursts open and causes severe pain and bleeding inside the pelvis, per the Mayo Clinic. At the time, Cyrus "didn't know exactly what was going on," so she proceeded with the show. Cyrus hosted alongside godmother Dolly Parton and performed duets with Parton, Sia and Paris Hilton. 'It was pretty traumatic because it was extremely excruciating and I did the show anyway,' Cyrus recalled. 'But it was really, really hard on me.' Miley Cyrus Details How Sobriety Journey Has Changed Her 'Entire Life' Over the Years The health scare isn't the only challenge Cyrus overcame. During her chat with Lowe, 51, she shared the importance of maintaining her sobriety. 'I've learned this about myself over the years. The sobriety is like, that's like my God,' the singer said. 'I need it, I live for it. I mean that it's changed my entire life.' Cyrus stopped using marijuana in 2017 and drinking alcohol in 2020. While speaking to 51-year-old Lowe, Cyrus recalled the last time they spoke back in November 2020. 'When you came to my psychedelic house that was painted black in hidden hills, where everything is like all white homes and equestrian. And then I painted mine black and rainbow … I no longer live there,' she said. 'But I was happy you came and saw me in that space. And I was thinking about it a lot today as I was on my way here, because I was so close to who's sitting here right now. But there was just life. It had more to teach me. It had more lessons.' During their last chat, Cyrus confessed that she 'fell off' her sobriety journey at the time. However, Cyrus doesn't regret the mistake since it led her to where she is now. Miley Cyrus Has Girl's Night With Mom Tish at 'SNL50: The Homecoming Concert' After Billy Ray Drama 'I know I needed to fall one more time. And I just, I had to. It just never would have happened this way. I just never would have been sitting here. And there were times in that section from where I've seen you before,' she said. 'And there were times in that section from where I've seen you last time and now that they hurt, I'm not proud of them. Definitely not my best moments, not some of my best work, any of that.' Cyrus added that the struggle led her to write 'Flowers,' for which she won her first Grammy. 'It all led me to writing 'Flowers,' which then was some sort of just key right into the lock of all healing,' she said. 'It healed me so much.'

Revealed: Why Lorne Michaels told Jack Black he thought Desi Arnaz was going to die during 1976 ‘SNL' episode
We love hearing stories from the vault. On Wednesday, Jack Black appeared on David Spade and Dana Carvey's 'Fly on the Wall' podcast where he reflected on what 'SNL' creator Lorne Michaels told him when he hosted the show last month. 'Lorne said the funniest thing. I don't think he was trying to be funny,' the actor, 55, explained. 'After the rehearsal, when he saw me do the tiger roll and he saw me doing that rockin' number, and he saw me sweating and wheezing, he said, 'I just want to tell you a story.' ' 5 Lorne Michaels attends SNL50: The Homecoming Concert at Radio City Music Hall. Getty Images 'In the '70s, this is the beginning, we had Desi Arnaz on the show,' Michaels, 80, told Black. 'And he was getting up there, he was in his 70s. And I wanted him on, because I just thought, yes he's older, but he's an icon.' Arnaz hosted season one episode 14 on February 21, 1976, but Black recounted that the creator told him that 'Desi was kind of struggling.' Arnaz, who was married to Lucille Ball from 1940 to 1960, wanted to perform his 'Babalú' number, which was his signature performance for his character Ricky Ricardo from 'I Love Lucy.' 5 Desi Arnaz on 'Saturday Night Live.' NBCUniversal via Getty Images The Babalú saw Arnaz singing while playing the drums with a band behind him. The piece originated on the sitcom — which ran for six seasons from 1951 to 1957 — but Arnaz continued to do it long after the series ended. 'Lorne was a little worried about it. Can he still pull it off?' Black told Carvey, 69, and Spade, 60. 'And he was doing it, but he could see that he was starting to sweat and really struggle physically while he was 'Babalú'-ing and he wouldn't stop.' 'Then he looked closer on the screen and he's like, 'Desi's lips started to turn blue' and he started to worry like, 'Oh, he's about to die,' ' he continued. 'And he just pulled the plug on it and said, 'Just go to commercial, whatever.' ' Black didn't know what to make of Michaels' remarks, sharing, 'I was like, 'Wait a second, are you telling me this story because you're worried I'm going to die [appearing on 'SNL']?' 5 Jack Black on 'Saturday Night Live.' Will Heath/NBC 'Lorne was a little worried,' admitted Black. 'He was just warning me not to go too hard. Because if I went full hard as a motherf–ker, that I could die.' The 'Goosebumps' actor is no stranger to Studio 8H, as he has hosted 'Saturday Night Live' in 2002, 2003, 2005 and again this year. In April, Black got candid on returning to the show after two decades, alongside musical guests Elton John and Brandi Carlile. 5 Jack Black and Michael Longfellow as Dexter during the 'Goth Kid on Vacation' sketch on Saturday, April 5, 2025. Holland Rainwater/NBC Prior to the night, the 'Minecraft' star called his appearance on 'SNL' 'cray cray' while talking to Variety. Black added that he was feeling the pressure. 'Just so you know, having lots of nightmares and night terrors and also fond memories flooding back. It's crazy, very exciting,' teased Black. 'You know what they're thinking about right now? They are just all in a dead coma from last night's show,' the star said of the cast and writers. 'Maybe some of them are thinking of some ideas, but I'm really thinking it's one of those shows they put together in one week, that's part of the excitement.' 5 'Saturday Night Live.' Rosalind O'Connor/NBC Black said he loves 'all those kids' currently on Season 50. 'I call them kids because I was on that show before some of them were born — except for Kenan [Thompson], we're around the same age. That's about it,' he confessed. Michaels created the sketch comedy show on Oct. 11, 1975. A variety of A-listers got their star on the series, including Jimmy Fallon, Amy Poehler, Mike Myers, Chevy Chase, Will Ferrell and Tina Fey.

The commercial will air during NBC's Kentucky Derby coverage on Saturday. In the spot, Romano and Maniscalco stand atop the Italian Alps with snowboards in hand, attempting to discuss thrilling winter sports like skiing, snowboarding and luge. But their discussion is repeatedly sidetracked by their shared obsession with Italian food. 'Ray and I teamed up for the Olympics, two Italian guys trying to figure out winter sports,' Maniscalco said in a statement. 'Let's just say, we thought 'luge' was a type of pasta.' Romano and Maniscalco filmed the commercial in Los Angeles, with the mountaintop backdrop brought to life by Industrial Light & Magic, the visual effects company founded by George Lucas and recently known for its work on 'The Mandalorian.' This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below. The network said Romano and Maniscalco were an easy choice to start building anticipation for the Winter Games. 'Both are instantly recognizable, deeply beloved, and naturally funny,' said Joseph Lee, senior vice president of creative marketing, sports and entertainment at NBC. He said the network is using the same playbook of enlisting entertainers and athletes. Last year, popular figures who appeared in promo spots included Snoop Dogg, Megan Thee Stallion, Simone Biles, Peyton Manning, Cardi B, SZA and Lily Collins. 'We're running the same playbook across the campaign: pairing entertainment personalities with the Olympics (and often Olympians) in fun, unexpected ways,' Lee said. 'It's how we'll continue to keep the Games culturally relevant — and genuinely entertaining.' Toronto & GTA Toronto Maple Leafs Editorial Cartoons Canada Sunshine Girls

Dave Grohl performs Foo Fighters songs at Coachella for first time since affair and baby drama
Dave Grohl is back in a Foo groove. The singer-guitarist delivered orchestral renditions of Foo Fighters faves 'Everlong' and 'The Sky Is a Neighborhood' at Coachella on Saturday. The surprise appearance — with Venezuelan maestro Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Outdoor Theatre of the Indio, California festival — was the first time the 56-year-old rocker returned to his Foo frontman role since the Post exclusively confirmed the mother of his love child's identity as Jennifer Young. The trio was also joined by Post Malone at SNL50: The Homecoming Concert in February. But Grohl hadn't performed any Foo Fighters songs live since making the shock announcement about his newborn out of wedlock. Advertisement 'I've recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,' Grohl wrote in an Instagram post in Sept. 2024. 'I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. 'I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness,' continued Grohl, who has three other children with wife Jordyn Blum. 'We're grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.' In February, The Post broke the news that Young — a Florida-born rock 'n' roll fan who now resides in Los Angeles — was the mother of Grohl's new daughter. And records obtained by The Post showed that their nearly 9-month-old child — who Young is raising in a modest house with her own mother — has Grohl's last name. 5 Jennifer Young confirmed to The Post that she was the mother of Dave Grohl's love child in February.
