The examination will consist of two papers. Further, based on the marks secured in Paper I, candidates will be shortlisted for Paper II. The application fees is ₹ 100 which can be paid in online mode like BHIM UPI, Visa, Master card, Maestro, RuPay Debit card. However, candidates including women belonging to Scheduled castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from paying fees. The application form correction window will open on July 1, 2025 and will close on July 2, 2025. Candidates only have one day to make any changes if they wish to. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the SSC CHSL 2025 notification and commenced the online registration process for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination. Eligible candidates can apply at the official website – until July 18, 2025. The notification released by the commission states, 'The Staff Selection Commission will hold a competitive examination for recruitment to the Group C posts viz. Lower Divisional Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant and Data Entry Operators for various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India and various Constitutional Bodies/ Statutory Bodies/ Tribunals.' The final number of vacancies will be determined in due course and updated vacancies, if any, along with post and category-wise break-up will be shared on in due course, SSC said. The commission informed that it does not collect state and zone-wise vacancy details and advised candidates to approach the user department for this information. Candidates should be between 18-27 years on January 1, 2026, meaning only those candidates who were born not before January 2, 1999 and not after January 1, 2008 are eligible to apply. Relaxation in the upper age limit will be given to reserve category candidates as per rules. For the Data Entry Operator (DEO)/ DEO Grade 'A' in Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Ministry of Culture and Staff Selection Commission post, candidates need to pass Class 12 in the Science stream with Mathematics as a subject. For the LDC/JSA and DEO/DEO Grade 'A' (except DEOs in Department/ Ministry) post, candidates need to pass Class 12. SSC CHSL Notification 2025: Registration begins at ssc.gov.in; over 3,000 vacancies announced
SSC CHSL 2025: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the notification against the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) 2025. The SSC CHSL recruitment will fill a total of 3,131 vacancies in multiple departments. The application process started on June 23 and will continue till July 18. Online fee can, however, be paid by candidates up to July 19. Candidates can register at SSC CHSL will be held in two tiers. While tier 1 will be held from September 8 to 18, tier 2 of SSC CHSL 2025 exam will be held in February-March, 2026. Shortlisted candidates will be appointed to various Group 'C' posts like lower divisional clerk, junior secretariat assistant and data entry operators in various ministries, departments, offices of the Government of India and various constitutional bodies, statutory bodies and tribunals. The crucial date to determine the age is January 1, 2026. The candidates who have appeared in their Class 12 or equivalent examination can also apply, however they must possess the essential qualification on or before the cutoff date – January 1, 2026. Applications must be submitted only in online mode at the new website of SSC – or through my SSC mobile application which can be downloaded from Google Play Store. All the candidates who wish to apply and have not generated their One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new website – will be required to do so as the earlier OTR generated on the old website – will not be functional for the new website. Subsequent to OTR, the candidates can proceed to fill the application for the examination. Once an OTR has been generated on the new website, it will continue to remain valid for all the examinations to be applied for on the new website. The candidates are advised to opt for Aadhaar Based Authentication, in terms of Aadhaar Policy as published on the website of the Commission, while completing their OTR process. The application(s) of the candidates who opt for Aadhaar Authentication will not be rejected on the ground that photograph and/or signature uploaded by the candidate are not as per prescribed standards. Such candidates will not be required to produce recent colour photographs or original valid photo-identity proof for admission to the examination venue at the time of the exam.
