She said, 'Yash is preparing himself very well, he's working very hard. He dances well. He acts well. And very soon, next year, we will see him on screen. Yash is the one who always asks me, 'Mum, this is the subject, this is the concept.' We have discussions at home." She further revealed that she advised Yashvardhan not to imitate his father in order to avoid comparisons, and said, "I told him, don't copy Govinda. I don't want my son to be tied to Govinda's image. You have to make your own style. He will make a better name than Mr Govinda as well." While Govinda has been away from films for a long time now, he once captivated audiences with hit films like Raja Babu, Coolie No 1, Saajan Chale Sasural, Hero No 1, Aunty No 1, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, and more. He was last seen in the 2019 film Rangeela Raja, which failed at the box office. Before making his acting debut, Yashvardhan assisted on films like Varun Dhawan's Dishoom and Tiger Shroff's Baaghi. He will now make his Bollywood debut with National Award-winning filmmaker Sai Rajesh. The yet-untitled film is said to be a remake of the director's Telugu film Baby. The project reportedly also featured Babil Khan, who has since exited the film, leaving the project temporarily on hold.

Sunita Ahuja, wife of veteran actor Govinda, urges him to make a comeback with films that resonate with contemporary audiences. She acknowledges the evolving tastes of viewers and advises Govinda to adapt his storytelling to the present. While emphasizing Govinda's talent, Sunita hopes to see him back on screen soon, working on projects that connect with today's public. Veteran actor Govinda known for his films like Coolie No.1,Hero No.1 , Saajan Chale Sasural, Partner, Aankhen and many more has been away from the silver screen for a while, but his wife Sunita Ahuja believes it's time he returns — and with cinema that reflects today's times. In a candid conversation with ETimes, Sunita opened up about how the industry has changed, the evolving taste of audiences, and why she feels Govinda still has so much to offer. 'Govinda is a versatile actor — people in the 90s and 2000s gave him a lot of respect and love, but now the cinema has changed,' Sunita remarked. She admitted that she often reminds her husband about the importance of evolving with time. 'I always tell Govinda that as time goes by, you have to change. So I told him, it's not the time of the 90s anymore — it's 2025. You have to see what is working now. If you make films from the past, the audience will not like it. ' Sunita was honest about how even Bollywood's multi-starrer films struggle at the box office these days. 'Even multi-star movies don't work these days. I don't know what the taste of the audience has become — even I don't understand. But then, he is a good actor,' she said, emphasizing that talent like Govinda's shouldn't remain away from the spotlight. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Many elders are abandoned by their families, you can help! Sunita Ahuja claims ‘wrong circle' around Govinda led to his career downfall: ‘They just say ‘wah, wah!' They're of no use'

Once one of Bollywood's biggest stars, known for delivering back-to-back hits and whose very name guaranteed unabashed entertainment, actor Govinda's career has been virtually dormant for years. Not just that he hasn't had a commercial success in over a decade, but he also hasn't appeared in a film since 2019, following the disastrous performance of Rangeela Raja. Recently, Govinda's wife Sunita Ahuja addressed the decline of his career, attributing it to his futile attempts to replicate the formula that worked in the 1990s. She also criticised the 'wrong circle' surrounding him, who are nothing less than sycophants, suggesting that they played a significant role in his downfall. 'Why has Govinda not been seen in 17 years? The problem is that his circle is the wrong one. It's a wrong circle. Today, my fights with him are because I can't lie, and I do not appreciate flattery,' she shared during a chat with The Powerful Humans. Although Sunita refrained from naming anyone, she did not hold back in calling them out, at least indirectly. 'Today he has four people – a writer, a musician, a secretary and a lawyer friend. They are of no use. They only say 'wah, wah!' If he makes music, they say 'wah, wah… kalam kar diya.' They should tell him the truth. When I tell him the truth, he gets upset,' she claimed. Sunita Ahuja then went on to point out how Govinda was still attempting to relive his glory days and trying to churn out something from the same template, which has left him completely obsolete and outmoded. 'I tell him the 90s era is over. It is 2025. Look at what's working on Netflix and digital platforms. But he stays with his 'wah, wah' production. I told him, change your circle. For as long as you have these 4–5 people, they won't let you go forward,' she added. Despite his fame for slapstick comedy, energetic dance performances and headlining blockbusters such as Raja Babu (1994), Coolie No 1 (1995), Saajan Chale Sasural (1996), Hero No 1 (1997), Deewana Mastana (1997), Dulhe Raja (1998), Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (1998), Anari No1 (1999), Haseena Maan Jayegi (1999) and Jodi No 1 (2001), Govinda's career began declining in the early 2000s. Although he managed a brief comeback with a couple of hits in the latter part of that decade, his career has been steadily deteriorating since the early 2010s.

Raveena Tandon on alleged feud with Karisma Kapoor: It was classroom politics

Raveena Tandon and Karisma Kapoor's alleged catfight on the sets of 'Andaaz Apna Apna' and 'Aatish' is a story often brought up by Bollywood celebrities on talk shows. In her recent vlog with Farah Khan, Raveena addressed the rumours, referring to the incident as 'classroom politics,' explaining that both she and Karisma were 'kids at that time.'Raveena, who appeared on Farah's YouTube channel, confronted the filmmaker for speaking publicly about her fights with Karisma. She said, "You went everywhere and said that fights were happening on set. When did we fight? What did I do? I was sitting with dancers who were my friends, and they were sharing non-veg jokes."advertisementFarah responded and stated, "Now everyone's kids are going to the same school, and we keep meeting on annual days." The actor replied, "We were also kids at that time. We were 20-21 years old. It was classroom politics, and we had to face that." Farah had previously spoken about the incident during an episode of Koffee With Karan in 2007. When Karan Johar asked, "Which is the worst fight you have seen between two actresses?" Farah recalled, "I was once doing a song with Karisma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon, long ago, in a film called 'Aatish.' They were both having some kind of teenage spat. They were hitting each other with their wigs. They were wearing these wigs with plaits and beads in it. One was hitting, the other was stamping her foot with her heel. It was quite childish. I am sure they will laugh about it now."advertisementIn a recent interview with India Today, Aamir said, "We had a lovely time. Also, I have to say it was also a tough time because I was the only actor who used to come on time. Karisma aati thi toh Raveena chali jati thi. Bahut mushkil se woh film bani thi (Karisma used to come to shoot and leave, and then Raveena would come. It was a challenge to shoot it)."In one of her previous interviews with Lehren Retro, Raveena spoke about being replaced by Karisma in 'Sajan Chale Sasural.' She stated that, "I have always believed in healthy competition because that brings out the best in you. But I am not a cutthroat person, nobody can say Raveena got me removed from a project or Raveena refused to work with a newcomer. I have never done that kind of politics and groupism but others have blatantly done politics against me. I was supposed to do 'Saajan Chale Sasural' with David Dhawan and Govinda and they told me this later. I had even signed 'Vijaypath', I lost the film."Raveen and Karisma worked together in movies like 'Andaz Apna Apna' and 'Aatish.'Raveena was last seen in the show 'Karmma Calling', streaming on Watch IN THIS STORY#Raveena Tandon#Karisma Kapoor#Farah Khan
