Sanquelim man held for Rs 3.3L delivery fraud
Bicholim:
Bicholim police arrested Sanquelim resident and native of Kolhapur, Maharashtra, Pankaj Prakash Gurav (24) on Sunday for allegedly misappropriating Rs. 3.3 lakh to be paid to Instakart Services Private Limited, Sanquelim.
The complaint, filed by hub manager Sagar Anant Parab, states that the accused delivered 15 high-value cash-on-delivery shipments but used the collected amount for personal gain instead of depositing it with the company.
After the complaint was lodged on Saturday evening, a notice under section 35(3) BNSS was issued to the accused. However, he failed to report to the police station. The accused was later traced near Bodke ground, Sanquelim and arrested.
PSI Jayprakash Jankar of the Bicholim police station is investigating further under the guidance of PI Vijay Rane Sardesai.
