Van crashes into oncoming traffic, injures two
SERDANG: A man and a woman were injured in a three-vehicle crash involving a van, a car, and a lorry at Pusat Perdagangan Olive, Seri Kembangan, early today.
In a statement, the Fire and Rescue Department said it received a call at 7.13am and arrived at the scene four minutes later.
The Seri Kembangan fire station deployed five personnel led by operations commander Saharudin Abd Razak.
The Toyota van is believed to have veered into oncoming traffic, colliding with a Toyota Harrier and a one-tonne lorry.
Two victims trapped in the lorry were extricated by rescuers.
The male victim, in his 40s, suffered a broken leg, while the female victim, also in her 40s, sustained minor injuries. Both were handed to the Serdang ambulance team for further treatment.
The Fire and Rescue Department said the crash occurred about 2km from the fire station. One fire engine was dispatched to the scene.
